Don’t worry, this isn’t about flowers, candy or cards. Of course the very idea is ridiculous. Valentine’s Day is an infidel holiday celebrating lewd, immoral and licentious behavior typical to your fallen religions. Trust me when I say we have nothing like Valentine’s Day in the one true religion of peace.

And men, isn’t it better for us that we don’t have it in our religion? No need to buy your wife flowers, candies or even a card on Valentine’s or any other day. This is just one small example of why the one true religion is better for men, and why you should seriously consider switching over while we’re still taking volunteers.

And it’s really easy to join. Just say one prayer, and you’re in for life.

Here’s another good reason to switch. Say you don’t feel like showing tender affection to your wife. You don’t have to! In fact, if she burns dinner, doesn’t clean the house, or pisses you off in any way you can just back-hand her, (as long as you don’t break any bones or mark her face.) In fact, it’s okay for you to give her a good thrashing now and then to get her back into line. Why? Because it says it’s okay in the holy books of the one true religion of peace, that’s why.

Don’t worry, the bruises covering the rest of her body won’t show, because (isn’t this great!) a wife can never leave the house while showing one square centimeter of bare uncovered skin that’s not between her eyes and her chin. Which is mighty handy, in case she’s still covered with bruises from her last few disciplinary sessions. And as long as you are careful not to beat her face in, she can still go out in public to do your shopping, (while properly attired, of course).

Here’s another reason why the one true religion is better for us men. Maybe your wife just doesn’t have the old sex-appeal any more. The thrill is gone. No problem! You can remarry, and bring a second, third or a fourth wife home. You don’t have to even ask the old bat’s permission. Whom you marry is up to you and you alone in the one true religion, because you are a man! If wife-number-one doesn’t want you bringing that pretty little thing home to your bed, well too bad for wife-number-one. She has no say in the matter. You may do what you want, because you are a man!

Now, my infidel friend and prospective member of the one true religion of peace, maybe you’re not such a handsome young stud yourself any more. You’re over forty, and you haven’t exactly been working out and keeping buff. Don’t worry, that’s not a problem. Let’s say your brother has a cute little daughter, Fatima. She’s going to be turning thirteen soon. For the first eleven or twelve years of her life she was allowed the run of the block like a free-spirited little sprite. Uncovered, just as cute as a button, and sure to be one hot number once she passes through puberty.

And as luck would have it, you also have a daughter of fourteen or so (perhaps from your second wife) who is not exactly getting any younger and you want her out of the house. Perhaps she is not as pretty as Fatima, but don’t worry, your brother is not as picky as you are. That’s right! You can trade your adolescent daughter to your brother, and he can reciprocate with Fatima. What a great deal this is for us men, under the rules of the one true religion of peace. In this way, you can keep a fresh stock of nubile teenage girls in your bed until you’re too old to want them any longer. And nobody can say a word against this excellent practice, because the prophet of the one true religion explicitly condones and encourages it as one of the very best ways to find a good wife. In fact, this is how the prophet found his favorite wife of all.

But what if your bubbly thirteen-year-old niece—excuse me—bride—objects to having sex with you, simply because you are forty-five and have a gray beard down to your big stomach? Ha-ha-ha! As if what she wants matters! Trust me, she has no say in the matter, none. If you and your brother like the idea of swapping teenage daughters for child brides, that’s all there is to it, it’s settled. (Some Western so-called scientists claim that all of this marrying of close relatives has caused so-called genetic problems, but what do they know? “Genetics” are not mentioned anywhere in our holy books, so they have no importance to members of the one true religion of peace.)

And if you like the girls really young, the one true religion is definitely for you. Even nine years old is plenty old enough for marriage and full marital relations. This was old enough for the Prophet and his very favorite young niece-bride, so don’t worry about catching any flak from other members of the one true religion. If a nine-year-old bride was old enough for the prophet (when he was in his fifties), it is old enough for any male member of the one true religion of peace.

But what if that hot new child bride is not in the mood to satisfy your male needs? Those teenagers (and preteens) can be quite a handful, as we all know. Well, she’d better get in the mood, if she doesn’t want a good thrashing! Our holy books are very clear on this. But what if she still won’t receive your overtures when you want to lay a little loving on her? You have even beaten her black and blue (except on her face), but to no avail. She’s lost that loving feeling, or maybe she never had it in the first place. Some teenage brides are just like that.

Men, this part is great, you will just love it. And this goes for any of your wives, from your oldest to your youngest. Just divorce them, by saying “I divorce thee!” That’s it! No lawyers, no paperwork, no alimony. After this legally-binding divorce occurs she’s thrown out on the street, penniless and rejected by society. The witch will soon be begging on a corner. She’s not exactly a pretty sight, but lucky for us men we don’t have to see her, since she’s just a lump in a burqa, squatting on the sidewalk with only her begging cup showing. Her pitiful example will also do wonders to encourage your other wives to please you better.

Isn’t that great, men? Truly, the one true religion of peace is perfect for us.

Of course we men all understand that women are the morally weaker half of humanity. According to our holy books their inborn tendency is toward sensuality and sin. This is why we have their clitorises surgically removed when they are children. (Well, the “surgery” is usually just performed with an ordinary razor, without anesthesia while the screaming girl is held down, but you know what I mean. And they get over it pretty soon.)

Without those little sensuality-seeking pleasure spots, wives are a lot less likely to step out on their husbands. And I am very happy to report that Egypt leads the entire world in conducting this procedure, with over ninety percent of our girls prevented from experiencing unnecessary sexual pleasure due to the excision of their disgusting little pleasure-seekers. (Hmmm…why did a perfect god put these little mistakes on girls in the first place? Never mind.)

Now, some of you infidels might mention those year-by-year pictures of the graduating classes of Cairo University, with the female grads posing shamelessly uncovered until fairly recently. Long, flowing hair, right down past their shoulders! Shocking! Disgusting! But today, I am happy to report, 100% of the female graduates of Cairo U. are now wearing the hijab scarf or even the full face-covering veil. This shows that we are making true progress at containing women’s baser instincts to constantly charm, bewitch and seduce pious men.

In recent years our local women seem to have all received the message, and their lust-stoking female hair is no longer seen in public in Cairo where I live. (A little hydrochloric acid splashed in the faces of uncovered women also goes a long way toward encouraging the rest of them to understand the importance of female modesty in the one true religion of peace. Just a few burned and scarred examples will usually do the trick.)

This brings us at last to the case of Lara Logan. It was our holy day when the dictator fled and naturally the crowds on the square were in a celebratory mood. Spirits were running high. And right there in the middle was that infamous Western whore, strutting among the valiant crowds of pious men, shamelessly displaying all of her long blond hair to countless thousands of practitioners of the one true religion of peace. Why, the brazen hussy even dared to show her bare neck clear down past her collar bones!

Of course this would inflame any crowd of normal men who were pious followers of the one true religion. Long gorgeous flowing blond hair, a bare neck showing pure white skin, and bare naked collar bones! Men, women are eternally devious little temptresses. It’s their fallen nature, as members of the weaker sex. Temptation can even happen at work. Suppose you see a brazen female co-worker slutting it around the office, showing her unrestrained hair, perhaps wearing a shape-revealing blouse, or tight jeans or an immodest (non-floor-length) skirt. She’s just asking for sex, dressing like that! A loose woman like that has already lost her chastity, so she is there for the taking. Bare meat, on a plate!

Maybe you are alone with her in the stock room for a while. Well, take her! She is advertising to the world that she is an immoral whore and not a properly chaste member of the one true religion of peace, so why not? And don’t worry about being charged with the Western crime of rape. Were there four male witnesses to the act? I didn’t think so! That is why you cornered her in the stock room in the first place.

In the unlikely event that she dares to bring a charge of rape without the required four male witnesses, you can just say that it was her idea to conduct an adulterous liaison, and she seduced you with her female charms. Perfectly understandable! In the one true religion of peace, a man’s testimony counts twice a woman’s, so you win! Every time!

And do you know what the penalty for her adultery will be? Being stoned to death, while buried up to her shoulders in the ground. That little possibility sure keeps the frequency of rape charges way down, so don’t worry about grabbing a piece of strange if and when the opportunity presents itself. You always win, she always loses.

Yes, it is certainly great to be a man in the one true religion of peace. My infidel friend, give it another look, while we’re still taking volunteers. Think it over, carefully. An open letter appeared on the Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance founded and run by Judith McGeary to save family farms in the US [1, 2]. The letter, written by Don Huber, professor emeritus at Purdue University, to Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, warns of a pathogen “new to science” discovered by “a team of senior plant and animal scientists”. Huber says it should be treated as an “emergency’’, as it could result in “a collapse of US soy and corn export markets and significant disruption of domestic food and feed supplies. [...]

This could be the worst nightmare of genetic engineering that some scientists including me have been warning for years [3] (see Genetic Engineering Dream or Nightmare, ISIS publication): the unintended creation of new pathogens through assisted horizontal gene transfer and recombination."

"Dear Secretary Vilsack:
A team of senior plant and animal scientists have recently brought to my attention the discovery of an electron microscopic pathogen that appears to significantly impact the health of plants, animals, and probably human beings. Based on a review of the data, it is widespread, very serious, and is in much higher concentrations in Roundup Ready (RR) soybeans and corn-suggesting a link with the RR gene or more likely the presence of Roundup. This organism appears NEW to science!

This is highly sensitive information that could result in a collapse of US soy and corn export markets and significant disruption of domestic food and feed supplies. On the other hand, this new organism may already be responsible for significant harm (see below). My colleagues and I are therefore moving our investigation forward with speed and discretion, and seek assistance from the USDA and other entities to identify the pathogen’s source, prevalence, implications, and remedies.

We are informing the USDA of our findings at this early stage, specifically due to your pending decision regarding approval of RR alfalfa. Naturally, if either the RR gene or Roundup itself is a promoter or co-factor of this pathogen, then such approval could be a calamity. Based on the current evidence, the only reasonable action at this time would be to delay deregulation at least until sufficient data has exonerated the RR system, if it does.

For the past 40 years, I have been a scientist in the professional and military agencies that evaluate and prepare for natural and manmade biological threats, including germ warfare and disease outbreaks. Based on this experience, I believe the threat we are facing from this pathogen is unique and of a high risk status. In layman’s terms, it should be treated as an emergency.

A diverse set of researchers working on this problem have contributed various pieces of the puzzle, which together presents the following disturbing scenario:

Unique Physical Properties
This previously unknown organism is only visible under an electron microscope (36,000X), with an approximate size range equal to a medium size virus. It is able to reproduce and appears to be a micro-fungal-like organism. If so, it would be the first such micro-fungus ever identified. There is strong evidence that this infectious agent promotes diseases of both plants and mammals, which is very rare.

Pathogen Location and Concentration
It is found in high concentrations in Roundup Ready soybean meal and corn, distillers meal, fermentation feed products, pig stomach contents, and pig and cattle placentas.

Linked with Outbreaks of Plant Disease
The organism is prolific in plants infected with two pervasive diseases that are driving down yields and farmer income-sudden death syndrome (SDS) in soy, and Goss’ wilt in corn. The pathogen is also found in the fungal causative agent of SDS (Fusarium solani fsp glycines).

Implicated in Animal Reproductive Failure
Laboratory tests have confirmed the presence of this organism in a wide variety of livestock that have experienced spontaneous abortions and infertility. Preliminary results from ongoing research have also been able to reproduce abortions in a clinical setting.

The pathogen may explain the escalating frequency of infertility and spontaneous abortions over the past few years in US cattle, dairy, swine, and horse operations. These include recent reports of infertility rates in dairy heifers of over 20%, and spontaneous abortions in cattle as high as 45%.

For example, 450 of 1,000 pregnant heifers fed wheatlege experienced spontaneous abortions. Over the same period, another 1,000 heifers from the same herd that were raised on hay had no abortions. High concentrations of the pathogen were confirmed on the wheatlege, which likely had been under weed management using glyphosate.

Recommendations
In summary, because of the high titer of this new animal pathogen in Roundup Ready crops, and its association with plant and animal diseases that are reaching epidemic proportions, we request USDA’s participation in a multi-agency investigation, and an immediate moratorium on the deregulation of RR crops until the causal/predisposing relationship with glyphosate and/or RR plants can be ruled out as a threat to crop and animal production and human health.

It is urgent to examine whether the side-effects of glyphosate use may have facilitated the growth of this pathogen, or allowed it to cause greater harm to weakened plant and animal hosts. It is well-documented that glyphosate promotes soil pathogens and is already implicated with the increase of more than 40 plant diseases; it dismantles plant defenses by chelating vital nutrients; and it reduces the bioavailability of nutrients in feed, which in turn can cause animal disorders. To properly evaluate these factors, we request access to the relevant USDA data.

I have studied plant pathogens for more than 50 years. We are now seeing an unprecedented trend of increasing plant and animal diseases and disorders. This pathogen may be instrumental to understanding and solving this problem. It deserves immediate attention with significant resources to avoid a general collapse of our critical agricultural infrastructure.

Excellent news. The idiot foreigners, Communists and Trots, assorted Labour freaks and great unwashed of the Unite Against Freedom Party have had to cancel their to their National Conference in Central London (collective outpouring of sympathy). A little bird tells me this was down to the efforts of a London Patriotic group who alerted the authorities to the possibilities of a riot at the venue and civil disorder on a massive scale by the UAF Party. Well done to those concerned. ‘UAF Off Our Streets, Whose British Streets, Our British Streets…Good effort. (Why not give them a ring to gloat).

More than half the public support an annual cap while the main worry is the pressure immigration has had on public services and jobs, according to the survey by Ipsos MORI.

In a significant shift, young people, who were previously the least concerned over the issue, are increasingly negative.

Record levels of youth unemployment are being blamed on the change among 16 to 24 year-olds, almost half of who now believe immigration will damage the economic recovery by taking away jobs from people already living here . On a local level, the West Midlands has the highest level of concern, with 88 per cent perceiving immigration as an issue.

Despite a very high number of immigrants, London is the region with the least anxiety but the numbers are still high at 61 per cent.

With the Coalition’s annual cap on migrant workers due to take effect in April, almost two thirds (65 per cent) of the population are in favour of tighter controls.

However, there remains doubt over the impact of the limit with 47 per cent concluding it will not be effective

Ben Page, chief executive of Ipsos MORI, said: “The research shows strong support for tougher immigration policies, and high levels of concern.

“For the first time we are now seeing a rise in people saying immigration is not just a problem nationally, but specifically in their own local areas.

“Concern amongst young people about immigration has also increased and that could be attributed to the high levels of youth unemployment.

“At the same time almost half the public think new tougher government policies won't work – a challenge for this government will be to show how they can."

Britain experienced the largest influx since the Saxons during the 13 years of the last Government with migrants arriving in the UK at a rate of almost one a minute.

Enough foreign nationals to fill Birmingham three times over moved to the UK in a policy that critics have dubbed “Labour’s great betrayal”.

Up to another million are feared to be here illegally, while a million Britons left the country during the years of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.

The true legacy of the last Government is exposed today in a comprehensive review by the think-tank Migrationwatch.

It has meant pressure on public services, roads, housing, schools and hospitals.

The report also shows:

:: three in four new jobs created since 1997 have been accounted for by migrant workers

:: one in four children is born to a foreign mother

:: a third of future extra households will be due to immigration

:: half a million extra foreign-born children arrived at a primary school

:: the UK population could hit 70 million within two decades, largely driven by immigration

:: research by leading demographer, Professor David Coleman of Oxford University, concluded that if immigration continues at its present level the ‘white British’ may become a minority in the UK by the late 2060s.

The study comes as an independent poll revealed three in four Britons believe immigration is a “big problem” with concerns especially growing among younger people who are facing record levels of unemployment.

Official figures on Thursday are expected to show up to 5.5 million non-UK born people arrived in the country as long term migrants between 1997 and 2010 – the equivalent of almost one every minute.

Around 2.3 million left over the same period meaning the UK population increased by around 3.2 million as a direct result of foreign migrants.

Some 80 per cent of those also came from outside the EU, dispelling the myth that the country’s ability to control inflows was restricted by the right to free movement of member states.

Most migrants came from the Indian Sub-Continent, Africa and the Middle East.

The Migrationwatch study, Immigration – Labour’s enduring legacy to Britain, said the scale of the movement is the largest seen in the UK since the waves of Saxons more than 1,000 years ago.

Sir Andrew Green, chairman of Migrationwatch, said: “In the years to come immigration will be seen as Labour’s great betrayal.

“The sheer scale of what has occurred is changing Britain fundamentally and irrevocably and in ways the majority of the population did not ask for, were not consulted about and did not wish to see."

“When you consider that three million extra people on this island equates to the creation of three cities the size of Birmingham, seven the size of Manchester or 20 the size of Harrogate with all that that means for the pressure on our roads, railways, housing, infrastructure, the environment, schools, hospitals and the general quality of life it gives some idea of the scale of what Labour has bequeathed to us all.”

In 2009 Andrew Neather, a former adviser to Tony Blair, Jack Straw and David Blunkett, claimed that the sharp increase in migrants over the last 10 years was partly due to a politically motivated attempt by ministers to radically change the country and "rub the Right's nose in diversity".

Sir Andrew said: “Immigration on a sensible scale has clear benefits but only if it is both properly controlled and limited in scale.

“It is still not entirely clear whether the outcome of the Labour years was a result of gross incompetence or some politically motivated desire to change the whole nature of our society.“

Damian Green, the immigration minister, said: "Unlimited migration has placed unacceptable pressure on our public services over the years.

"That is why we are currently carrying out major reform of the system to reduce net migration to the tens of thousands.

"We have already introduced an annual limit to the number of economic visas from outside the UK alongside new proposals to reform other routes of entry including student, marriage and settlement visas which have in the past been subject to widespread abuse."

A separate poll by Ipsos MORI yesterday found 75 per cent of people think immigration is a very or fairly big problem and two thirds are in favour of tighter controls.

With youth unemployment at its highest level since records began, half of people aged between 16 and 24 believe immigration will damage the economic recovery.

Ben Page, chief executive of Ipsos MORI, said: "For the first time we are now seeing a rise in people saying immigration is not just a problem nationally, but specifically in their own local areas.”

Damian Green, the immigration minister, said: "Unlimited migration has placed unacceptable pressure on our public services over the years.

"That is why we are currently carrying out major reform of the system to reduce net migration to the tens of thousands.

"We have already introduced an annual limit to the number of economic visas from outside the UK alongside new proposals to reform other routes of entry including student, marriage and settlement visas which have in the past been subject to widespread abuse."

Gerry Sutcliffe, shadow immigration minister, said: “This is an unbalanced, misleading and highly political report.

"Migration levels increased initially because of the strength of the British economy over many years and must be seen in the context of increases globally.

"However the most recent figures show net migration from outside the EU was coming down as a result of the new points based system and over a third of "long-term migrants" were in fact students, the vast majority of whom study, pay their fees, and then return home."

Celestin Ugirashebuja is wanted for war crimes in Rwanda, where he accused of organising attacks during the genocide in 1994.

Mr Ugirashebuja, who passed a Criminal Records Bureau check, works at the Anna Victoria Nursing Home in Frinton-on-Sea, Essex.

Nearly half a million Rwandans died in the genocide, and Mr Ugirashebuja, 60, is accused of organising roadblocks and urging Hutus to kill escaping Tutsis.

CRB checks only show British convictions, so the background check did not the summary indictment issued against Mr Ugirashebuja by the Rwandan authorities.

After the massacre, Mr Ugirashebuja, a former mayor, fled to the UK, where he was arrested in 2006 along with three men also accused of being involved in the genocide.

They cannot be tried in Britain as courts here do not have jurisdiction over acts of genocide committed by foreign nationals outside the country.

When their extradition case came before the High Court in 2009, it was thrown out on the grounds that the men’s human rights would be breached if they were forcibly returned home.

It's my own personal conviction that the really serious damage that smoking bans do is to the very fabric of human society. I'd like to try to explain how this happens and why it matters.

Smoking bans drive smokers from pubs and bars and cafes, and one result of this is that pubs and bars and cafes close down, and this is a visible consequence - 'closed' and 'for sale' signs spring up on the bankrupted pubs. Much less visible are the human communities that are also closed down. A pub or a cafe is a centre of community, a place where people meet and make or renew friendships. When the smokers have been driven out, these bonds of community begin to be broken, because they are no longer being repaired and renewed. The entire community (and not just the community of smokers) begins to unravel. But no 'closed' or 'for sale' signs go up on these communities. The loss is invisible.

One may think of a community as a number of interconnected nodes. The nodes represent individual people, and the lines connecting them represent the relationships between them, some close and some distant, some strong and some weak. At the outset, in a vibrant pub or cafe society, there will be lots of connections between people, lots of friendships and acquaintanceships. But when smoking bans expel smokers - even by just making them stand outside - they stretch and weaken and break many of these bonds of friendship. And the result is that the little society centred around a little cafe or bar becomes less cohesive. It may even disintegrate entirely. At which point the cafe or bar closes down, and the 'for sale' signs go up.

One consequence of this, for example, is that more cohesive groups of friends may set up their own little convivial sub-communities in their own homes (e.g. 'smoky-drinky places') where they can continue to meet to enjoy each others company. But when this happens, the community as a whole has become fragmented, broken up into small groups of families or friends.

But because these groups of families or friends exist in private, it's difficult for anyone to join them. The original vibrant, cohesive pub community was always being renewed and revivified with new people, even while illness and old age depleted them. The new private groups, starved of new members, are likely to in turn gradually become depleted, and themselves die out.

The end point of this process is one in which society has been entirely atomised, and consists of a set of atomic individuals, who have no connection whatsoever with one another, beyond that of an occasional casual encounter.

Does it matter if this happens to a society? Does it matter if communities disintegrate? The antismoking health establishment that has been demanding ever more extensive smoking bans does not seem to think it matters at all. The only thing that seems to matter to them is "health", by which they mean the physical well-being of individual people. In their view, smoking bans improve "health" by "helping" smokers to give up the unhealthy habit of smoking. (It does not seem to occur to any of them that, when smokers are driven out of pubs and cafes to stand outside in the wind and cold and dark and rain, they are put at far greater risk than they were while they were smoking and drinking inside. Even by this crude measure of "health", smoking bans are far more unhealthy than the alternative.)

If we are really to make a decisive improvement in this vacuous, one-eyed notion of "health", it has to be said that the very best thing to do would be to close down all pubs and cafes. Because it's not just smoking that is claimed to be bad for people's health, but also drinking alcohol, and eating crisps and peanuts. All these things are deemed to pose "health risks" of one sort or other. But even if nobody smoked or drank or ate anything, and pubs became indistinguishable from churches, there would still be a discernible "health risk" simply from people transmitting communicable diseases (colds, flu, measles, mumps, etc) to each other. The "healthiest" society is quite obviously the atomised society in which nobody knows anybody else, and everybody stays at home.

And, who knows, perhaps this is what these antismoking health professionals would really like to see?

But let's look a little more closely at what happens when communities disintegrate. These communities do not consist solely of shared friendships, but they also provide a network of mutual support. In these communities people actively help each other out in all sorts of ways, doing shopping for each other, lending things to each other, repairing things, cooking food, checking to see how people are. It's not all just sitting in the pub talking about football. And when a community disintegrates, a network of support disintegrates too. People are left entirely to their own devices. And in the case of the elderly, their devices may be very limited, if they can no longer walk or read or hear. For such people, the death of the community is quite likely to be the death of them.

Nor is it that friendships and acquaintanceships are not important. A marriage is probably the greatest friendship that many people find. In marriages families are bound together by strong bonds. It is in these marriages and friendships and acquaintanceships that many people find meaning in their lives. Take away their marriages and friendships, and their lives become meaningless.

And in an even wider sense, it is through language and writing and music and art that human society is bound together. When people speak, it is so that someone else may hear. And when they write, it is so that someone else may read. And when they play guitar it is so that someone else may listen. Destroy society, and there is no point in anyone speaking or writing or painting or playing music, because all these activities are essentially and inherently social activities.

Smoking bans do not just drive pubs and cafes out of business. Nor is it even that they shatter communities. Smoking bans strike at the very heart of human society itself, and all its wealth of speech and literature and art and music. Smoking bans attack the core interconnectedness of human society. They are an assault upon humanity itself.

The foundations of human society do not lie in universities or government departments or shops or cinemas. The foundations of human society lies in the networks of millions upon millions of bonds of marriage and friendship which tie communities together. Shatter these bonds, and you shatter human society just as surely as you may fell with a power saw in a single afternoon a mighty oak tree that has taken hundreds of years to grow.

It's not just that smoking bans don't even improve "health" (even in the narrow and dwindled sense that antismokers use that word) at all. People carry on smoking and drinking anyway. They just stand outside and do it, and catch their death of cold. But what smoking bans do achieve is the destruction of communities, and the breaking of millions of bonds of affection and aid and support which go to make up the edifice of human society.

The antismoking "healthcare" industry is no better than a band of wolves which has been unleashed upon humanity to rend and tear it apart. Or else they are vandals armed with chainsaws. We have, as a matter of dire necessity, to rid ourselves of these people and all their works. For if we don't there will no longer be any "we" to speak of.

David Cameron is getting exasperated by some of the actions of the judges who ruled that sex offenders should not be on the sex register for life.
There are many other idiotic judgements made by these noble and unelected lords such as stopping us expelling foreign criminals citing their "human rights".

These people believe they have the right to overturn the will of the democratically elected Parliament.
They are also above the law.
You can not sue a judge who has made a wrong decision as you can sue anybody else for mistakes or negligence.
These people are" incorruptible" and thus their views must override all else even the wishes of the people.

Now I will tell you a true story which happened perhaps 40 years ago when I was a councillor on our local UDC.
We had a dispute with a local quarry owner who was desecrating a beauty spot in our area and wished to extend his operations into nearby woods.

We of course opposed his operations and wanted a stop notice put on him, and the case went to court in Liverpool and we employed at great expense a barrister.
Several councillors including myself attended (unpaid of course) and gave evidence in the case. It was adjourned in the afternoon and was to be further persued the following day.
We then went home.

At about 7 pm I was rung to attend an emergency meeting.
Our counsel had a new proposition in which we would have to accept the continuation of the quarrying which we did not want, but the woods would be saved. He told us there was no point in going to court to get everything we wanted as we would lose the case and the council would be landed with a big bill.
Reluctantly we accepted his "learned" advice and settled for less than we had hoped to achieve or very likely could have achieved.

Imagine my surprise when I read in the paper that this same "learned" council had been in court in Barrow the following day.
In other words he was booked into the court in Barrow on the day we thought he was representing us and the deal he suggested and we were conned into accepting was in order to allow him to go and get another fat fee a hundred miles away.

This man, the epitome of integrity who conned a local council in his own interests is now a high court judge, or was unless he has now retired on his fat non contributary pension.

These are the sort of people who are making and interpreting our laws. No wonder our country is in such a mess.

I could name this man, I still remember him but if I did no doubt he would bring the full weight of his fellow corrupt lawyers and judges down on my head and I can not afford that.
There may be some fellow Labour councillors who can still remember the details but most have passed on so I dare not risk it.

However I promise what I have written is a true record of what I observed as a councillor.

Since then I have always held the judiciary in contempt.
They are a self serving bunch of leeches with NO concept of justice or integrity.They don't know the meaning of the words.

And they are advising the government!

Thank God that the fool Cameron has seen through some of their deceit. Or is he using this for his own political agenda.

I don't trust him either.

Last week I went into Wigan town centre and what a bleak experience it was.
I have never seen it so deserted with even the pubs and pie shops empty.
I don't know how the operators of these businesses make it pay with rent and exorbitant business rates to pay.

It is evident that many don't as shown by the boarded up shops and "to let" signs.
In other words the centre of Wigan is dying and the only activity is the new offices or whatever being built for the council.
Because of budget cuts I believe charges for town centre car parks are going up which will REALLY encourage visitors to the town.

The Galleries shopping centre built over 20 years ago was supposed to enhance the experience of town centre shopping, but in spite of the demolition of a much loved Market Hall is half empty on account of sky high rents and the new Market Hall has also lost many stalls.

In spite of this and perhaps blinded by speculative money men the council in it's wisdom allowed and promoted the "Grand Arcade" demolishing in doing so Roman remains which had lain undisturbed for two millenia.

Of course this development just took trade from the other shops resulting in the "To Let" signs.
People have only so much to spend and filling the town with new ones at higher rents does not bring in extra cash to the town but just gives the place a down at heel look.

I accept the multitude of out of town supermarkets does not help but their free parking is a disincentive to people to visit the town centre.
A punitive parking space tax on the supermarkets would even the situation somewhat and give the little businesses a chance thus enhancing the ambience of the town centre.

In the paper today the Metro is considering closing Metrolite Industries where disabled people are given a chance of employment to save £250,000 in an effort to balance the books "because of government cuts" This money could be diverted "to front line services" it is said.

And what are these I ask. What is more "frontline" than helping disabled people to have a purpose in life? Diversity and equal opportunities officers I suppose.

It is also interesting that the £250,000 saved? by this measure is little more than the salary of the chief executive. Similarly many staff working for the metro are on more than £100,000 per year, not the useful ones like care workers or bin men which we all need but bureaucrats in the Town Hall who if they ceased work nobody would notice, indeed if they left the town would be possibly be better off looking at the mess they have made in recent years.

Another way of saving money would be to go back to the old days where councillors did their job out of a sense of public spiritidness and were not paid.
When I was on the old UDC you did the job to put something back into society, not to use your position as a lucrative job. Meetings were held in the evening so that councillors could do their daytime job and still debate the problems of the district in the evening.
I have the feeling that many of the councillors would have difficulty in holding down a proper job nowadays.

We ran an efficient council in those days and were more accountable to the people and without the multitude of non jobs that we now have.

We managed without Diversity officers then but then we were not enriched or diverse. We were a united community and proud of it.

When I see the desecration of our area now wrought by the incompetent avaricious people who "manage" it I sometimes dispair.

Cameron says he wants "The Big Society". How about some of you overpaid incompetents giving up some of your salaries and expenses and do your bit for the good of the community.

A Labour city councillor launched into a tirade about the "propaganda" of Holocaust Memorial Day, after he was criticised for not signing a book of commitment.

Stoke-on-Trent City Councillor Kassem Al-Khatib was one of two councillors who refused to sign Stoke's HMD book of commitment.

Mr Al-Khatib, a Palestinian, said in a statement: "I have nothing to apologise for. I am convinced that the Holocaust memorial is the perfect recipe for controversy, and when used as a tool for education, the truth will be the victim, put in a Zionist straitjacket."

He also compared Zionism to "Hitler's Final Solution" and called it a "premeditated genocide." He added: "The Holocaust memorial, and Zionism at large, is not a recipe for peace, it is a recipe for more holocausts."

Now you know how the council works. It's not the actual workers who are the problem with the council tax - it's the managers. And you know why, when cuts are announced, it's never the management staff that have to go, only the actual workers - whether that's actual manual workers or basic admin. workers... and they have to take on more managerial staff to do it. POLICE and MI5 foiled an Al Qaeda-inspired “dirty bomb” attack in Britain, it emerged yesterday.

A gang of terrorists were planning to unleash the first radioactive blast on a major shopping centre.

They hoped to kill and contaminate scores of innocent civilians and leave a wide area

The bomb would have included the highly toxic chemical osmium tetroxide which blinds, damages the respiratory system and turns the skin black.

After prolonged exposure, it can lead to an agonising, asthma-like death known as “dry-land drowning”.

But the plot was foiled in 2004 following months of surveillance by MI5 and Scotland Yard’s Counter Terrorism Command. Police believe the gang had been planning to detonate the “dirty bomb” at a major shopping centre in the South-east.

It is thought the terrorists did not managed to get any material into Britain and the plot was foiled “before it could get off the ground”.

But experts say extremists are still keen to launch a “chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear” attack on a major Western city.

One said: “It’s a question of when, not if, they will attempt such an attack. So far, they have been thwarted.”

Professor Hans Michels, an explosives expert at Imperial College London, said: “Dirty bombs are definitely possible. If you want to bring radioactive material on a plane, the chances of it being detected are great.

“But radioactive bombs in cars and buses are a very different matter. They could use it in cities where there are large areas of people.

“Apart from the damage from the actual bomb, the radioactive material would spread out and rescue services would not immediately be able to reach the victims.

“This is a dangerous problem. The materials to make these types of bombs would most likely be stolen or supplied by rogue nations.

“The materials to make [the chemical] nitrocellulose are, unfortunately, readily available. You would have to order the chemicals but a trained chemist or someone with experience would be able to make them.”

The warnings came as it was revealed that three Qatari men linked to the 9/11 terror attacks used a bolthole in London.

The suspects, still thought to be at large, visited the World Trade Center in New York and other potential targets including the Statue of Liberty.

The day before the atrocities, the three flew back to London where they are said to have gloated over the coverage of the attacks on television.

Later, they returned to Qatar, according to diplomatic cables obtained by the WikiLeaks website. One cable says the men were booked on an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Washington on September 10, 2001.

But they failed to board. The next day, the same Boeing 757 plane was hijacked by five terrorists and crashed into the Pentagon.

The three flew to England on September 10, before returning to Qatar.

A subsequent FBI investigation revealed their plane tickets were paid for, and their LA hotel reservation was made, by a convicted terrorist.

The WikiLeaks documents also reveal that US intelligence believes terrorists have planned to smuggle bombs on to planes inside teddy bears. Airport staff are being told to examine “children’s articles”.

According to the files, terrorists are trying to manufacture nitrocellulose, which becomes highly explosive if tightly packed and cannot be detected by X-ray machines.

Details on preparing it have allegedly been found in training manuals linked to Osama Bin Laden’s Al Qaeda terrorists.

OK – so now the cracks are really beginning to appear.
I am indebted to my good friend and fellow Freeman on the land, for allowing me to use his documentation for this:-
Let me fill you in on the background so you have the case history:-
“Jim” (As we will call him”) is a Freeman on the Land along with us (More on that here www.TPUC.org & www.thinkfree.ca) – and a few months back he decided (Like many of us) that he wasn’t going to pay the UNLAWFUL Council tax that they were trying to enforce upon him via thier unlawful statute legislation. So he stopped paying:-
In due course he started receiving the threatening letters until one day the “summons” appeared on his doormat. (Note: A summons is merely an invitation to attend their place of business to discuss a punishment – its an offer – Read more - just as the Council Tax Bill is an offer to contract with them – read more on this)

The “invitation” was to appear before Wirral Magistrates Court for a hearing concerning the issuing of a liability hearing. Now as we all now ALL magistrates courts are merely a trading styles of the “run for profit” company called “Ministry of Justice” – see below and you can get a copy of the document I have acquired clearly showing:-

Now call me blonde but I would say this is pretty damned conclusive that we are dealing with a corporate court convened by a corporation to simply lift money from you and I.

So … “Jim” jotted the council a little letter which is shown below:-

So … the DAY BEFORE the hearing, Jim received a phone call from the Wirral Council LEGAL DEPARTMENT and what they said was staggering …

THEY WERE GOING TO WITHDRAW THE APPLICATION FOR A LIABILITY ORDER!

Now this is incredible that on the back of one letter they decide to withdraw and more importantly confirms the following:-
Council tax is UNLAWFUL, as you and I well know that if these leeches had once ounce of a lawful case for taking this money then they would fight it to the death

They KNOW Council Tax is unlawful and are simply robbing those who haven’t woken up to the facts yet to the tune of £140,000,000,000 per annum (thats 140 BILLION of our money!)
So, Jim being the experienced fellow he is – asked them to email him with confirmation that they were going to withdraw and printed below is their email.

Jim then asked for further clarification in a formal letter and here is the letter that they sent!

Then Jim asked them to confirm in writing that because there was now NO LIABILY that the council tax was no longer due
This is the letter they and this is probably (in my opinion) one of THE single most important documents in the fight against Council Tax as it PROVES beyond ANY DOUBT that we DO NOT HAVE TO PAY this UNLAWFUL COUNCIL TAX.

So not believing a word of the Council or the courts Jim rocked up to the court on the morning of the Liability hearing and standing as a Freeman on the Land asked the Judge to confirm the withdrawal of the other side which the Judge duly confirmed. The judge then told Jim that he needn’t have turned up and then Jim hit with it.
“I know that sir, but there is the small matter of mys costs”
BAM! – They were not expecting that one!

So, Jim has now duly entered a claim for costs of £1,400 against Wirral Council which is still ongoing at this time as the courts are trying to play silly !!!!!!s with Jim – he has even had one judge step down and refuse to adjudicate in favour of his costs – as you can see – its a stitch up!

Anyway – Jim has some other things planned and I will keep you abreast of developments but there you have it.

A UK Council running away from a court hearing because they KNOW they dont have a LAWFUL leg to stand on and the whole Council Tax is a scam to relieve you and I of money and use it to

A) Line the pension funds of civil servants
B) Keep us opressed
C) Pay of the interest on loans to the bank and the IMF

Cameron's speech in Munich today shows that even for a person such as him, divorced from the reality of ordinary life he can see the people are becoming restless about the islamic influx in our country and indeed Europe.

We HATE our towns being turned into foreign enclaves. We HATE the inappropriate muslim garb and the constant demands of muslims for privelidges in OUR land.

It is no co incidence that EDL marches are becoming ever more frequent, nor that they are attacked by the Cameron sponsored UAF thugs who seek to disrupt legitimate protest.

Events in Egypt show that even if all seems well on the surface when there is a simmering discontent beneath it takes only a spark to light into a full blown protest.
They also show that even when Egyptian state sponsored thugs (their UAF) attack the sheer numbers of those wanting to be heard and seeking justice can overwhelm them.

Situations in a country can change rapidly and when the people will change nothing can stop them.

If I were you Mr Cameron I would take note of this people power and realise it can and will take place here before long.
So we need more than platitudes. We need action to halt muslim immigration and instant deportation of muslim criminals. We need to halt the ghettoisation of our towns and the building of mosques. We need to rescind the human rights laws so that our rights are restored and we have equality in our own country.
These vital actions are just the start.

On a lighter note.

Having resigned from being local organiser last night I went to hear a jazz band at a local church hall and thoroughly enjoyed it.
During the performance I began thinking what it would be like under muslim rule.
No alcohol for a start, not that there was any on sale there, you had to take your own, so hardly a p**s up. Neverhteless it would have been banned under islam.
No words, the songs as they would have been considered un islamic.
No friendship or happy community life. No fun.
In other words a living hell.

This fate awaits our children unless the virus of islam is neutered in our country.

Cameron. It's up to you.

We need action not just words or eventually when the sh*t hits the fan which it will ,we will know who to blame and you and your cronies will be held to account.

Politicians and others of the Righteous do seem to like the word "Community" don't they? They're always banging on about "the moslem community", the gay (that means homosexual, btw. They stole a perfectly normal word and appropriated it for their own use) community", "the black community" etc... a word always seeming to be currently used to our (members of the White, British, English - and smoking - communities) disadvantage.

Why not turn this around to our advantage? So ... "Do you smoke?" - "Yes - I'm part of the smoking community. Are you a filthy smokist, - a hater? - or what? " Try it out on your GP, or councillor, next time you need to see her or him. It'll drive them nuts by the time they've heard it for the thousandth time. I'm sure you can think of other uses for this expression too. Control the language and control the thinking. And make up sensible words when you think of them - why not? After all, the moslems made up a nonsense word which now seems to be in widespread use through mere repetition ... it's yet another one used to our disadvantage; and it really IS nonsense. Bear in mind that a phobia is an irrational and unreasonable fear. You'd have to be a fool not to have a healthy fear of islam if you knew even a little bit about its history and its ways.

What else can we do this about?

And be insistent ... with everyone - even yourself.

The EU has destroyed British jobs. The cumulative adverse balance of trade amounts to some £300 billion – so our most successful export to the EU has been British jobs – mostly skilled, hi tech, well-paid British jobs. In exchange we have got shelf stacking and spanner and screwdriver work. This is why your job prospects are so poor today.

The majority of laws passed by our Parliament today are required by the EU. The EU tells the government what laws it must make and the government whips its MPs to vote for them. So it looks democratic but it isn't. We and our interests do not come into it at all. No wonder the main parties all ratted on their promise of a referendum on the EU constitution, renamed the Lisbon treaty! Parliament is a marionette. We can vote to change who sits there but whilst we remain in the EU, it is not we the people but Brussels which pulls their strings.

I was born in 1929. Despite the prevailing poverty of the 1930’s, followed by the horrors of the Second World War, there was a general spirit of optimism generated by the radical thinking of H. G. Wells, Bernard Shaw, and a host of left wing thinkers associated with the Labour Party. Despite the war this persisted, and led to the Labour Government of 1945, and I reached adulthood feeling that we had reached at least the beginning of a genuinely brave new world.

Events have proved me very wrong. The only Brave New World around was Huxley’s, and I read the articles about the impending decline of the U.S.A. into fascism, (‘America Has Gone Away’ by Paul Craig Roberts (ref.1), and the somewhat more recent, ‘Does Fascism Lurk Around the Corner in the U.S.A.? by Danny Schechter (ref. 2), and realised that for some time I had been considering Britain in the same terms. I thought then that it might be worth sharing my thoughts with others; hence this article.

To begin with, it seemed to me that we need some criteria to justify taking such a view, and I thought it would be sensible to start from Tony Benn’s catechism of questions for prospective candidates for power, and, to paraphrase, we might assert that the essential feature of any system which claims to be a democracy, is that the people who form the government are elected by the people they govern and serve their interests, and that the system of election allows also for the services of those who lose the confidence of the electorate to be disposed of.

If we begin, then, by asking if the system in Britain serves these necessary conditions, it is fairly immediately obvious that despite the fact that we do from time to time hold elections and that there is a lot of noise about policies, and some new candidates are elected and some old ones disposed of, there are serious problems.

1). A basic requirement for a functioning democracy is an engaged, critical, and constructive electorate. To fulfil its role however, it is essential that the electorate understands the various threats which exist to its interests and to have a forum in which these matters are presented and discussed and its opinions are solicited. In fact as I shall argue, the media which supposedly have the responsibility for such a process are dedicated servants of a numerically small sector of society, for whose benefit they generate a steady stream of pernicious propaganda which suppresses criticism and silences dissent, and produces a supine body of semi- animate voters who cannot fulfil their proper roll. Without a properly informed and active electorate, everything is lost almost before we start.

2). Most of the persons elected to Parliament in the British system do not simply have an obligation to their electorate; they also have one to their political party. This latter obligation is strongly reinforced by the system of patronage and by the system of party whips, so that the obligation on an M.P. to act in the interests of his electors is seriously undermined. (How, for example, is a conflict to be resolved which exists between the interests of the party and a matter which an M.P. wishes to raise on behalf of a constituent?

Clearly the interest of the party is the more important and the M.P. may have to be silent.) Furthermore, where the party concerned also forms the Government, this obligation also becomes an obligation to support the Government, and this obligation may well be in conflict with the interests and wishes of his electorate. Obvious examples are the impossibility of arranging for the death of Dr. Kelly to be investigated by a coroner, for the activities of Mr. Tony Blair in the matter of the Iraq war to be openly explored, and for the appalling case of the destruction of the airliner over Lockerby to be properly investigated. This fault in our procedures is desperately serious, but it is never discussed where it matters. It is not, of course, in the parties’ interests that it should be.

3). M.P.s have a variety of inputs to which they have to pay attention. There is the electorate, of course, but also there is the economy and the various organisations which affect it, and a whole deluge of matters deriving from domestic and foreign affairs. The paramount consideration in dealing with this welter of information should be that whatever action is undertaken to deal with a given situation is calculated to provide the optimum benefit for the electorate.

It is a major problem with our system that there is nothing to require that this objective remains paramount. The concept of ‘The People’, in whose service the state was expected to operate in general socialist philosophy has disappeared, even from the mind of the Labour Party, and the system of values which has taken its place is not held to be a matter for discussion. There is not even any pressure for the matter to be discussed and resolved. There is, however, a system of value judgements in place. It is a system which is remarkably uniform across the whole country. It is a set of value judgements with which we are heavily indoctrinated in our schools and colleges and in our places of work and leisure, it is a matter for heavy propaganda in the media, and it treats the wealthy, the eminent the noble and above all the economically significant as much more worthy of consideration than the rest. Indeed, ‘the rest’ come close to being treated with indifference and even contempt. The existence of this system of values has several consequences:

A).The activities of M.P.s are directed towards the advantage and wellbeing of that portion of the society which is valued, and that of the rest counts for very little. Of course lip service is paid, but there are few Socialists even in the Labour Party these days and most of our citizens are cannon fodder or serfs to most of our politicians. In fact, the only section of the community which can hope to benefit significantly from the activity of our M.P.s is that section of the community which comprises what we might call Capital Britain: The Affluent, the Eminent, The Noble, and The Economically significant. Of these, it is the economically significant who matter most. The banks, the oil companies, the armament manufacturers, the chemical producers, the media, etc. etc. are the focus for the most profound regard and attention..

B). Because this system of values is held in common by all M.P.s, regardless of the party to which they belong, it ceases for most purposes to matter which party is in power, since the party in power is the servant of that group.

C). Although it is true that when an election takes place one person’s vote is as good as the next, so that if you feel ill-used you can vote for someone else, the votes of individuals are pretty insignificant, and concerted action is difficult to achieve, (ordinary people do not have a politically audible voice) , so that it is difficult for one person to make any change. Plainly this is not an adequate safeguard.

D). Capital Britain has close links with similar groups in other failing democracies, like the U.S.A., Canada and much of Europe. Such groups working together are in a position to control events to their advantage in other parts of the world like the Middle East, Africa and the Far East, and we are in the middle of an appalling sequence of wars, externally engineered revolutions and other, more local, disasters at the cost of millions of lives and billions of pounds to the advantage of the Capital Groups, and with total disadvantage to everyone else.

Examples are the Iraq war, (for the benefit of the oil companies and armament manufactures), the war in Afghanistan (the same beneficiaries), the probable war in Iran, (the same beneficiaries) Korea, Pakistan and almost anywhere else you care to name, Egypt, Tunisia and South America. In addition to the major beneficiaries there are endless spin-off rewards for security firms, other businesses, and advisers on this and that, all floating upwards with the scum and the blood and the debris. We should be ashamed to allow this to go on.

4). Policies in theory are the constructs of political parties, informed by the input of information about the economy, domestic and foreign affairs, and the views of the electorate. In fact the influence of ordinary party members on policy, despite noisy argument in party conferences, is minimal, and even that of ordinary M.P.s is small. Indeed during my own short period as a member of the Labour Party in the 70’s the rules on the input of policy making motions to Conference were deliberately changed to discourage the practice.

In reality the only significant input to the construction of policy comes from the party leadership, and it is through them that Capital Britain gains its second and most significant access to the construction of policy and the control of events. It is at this level, in the cabins of expensive private yachts, in costly restaurants and clubs, and not at all in party conferences, that policy is decided.

It is in places such as these that the mutually advantageous intercourse between the great and the good and the politically adept takes place, to design the future for those who are entitled to enjoy it, and the rewards for the holders of office who are needed to bring it about. In fact there is not much limit to what can be achieved. Wars can be fought for the benefit of oil companies and armament makers; Prime Ministers can become multi millionaires, and the dead, hundreds of thousands of them, don’t really matter.

Most of them are foreign anyway, and those that aren’t can painlessly be honoured by sticking a few more names on the Cenotaph. There is the question of what goes in the manifest at election time, of course. A great deal of effort goes into making the manifesto mean whatever the reader wishes to hear, but our leaders are really quite clever and a few lies spread through the compliant media can alter the perception of truth. ‘Sadaam has weapons of mass destruction,’ they tell us. ‘Were all in this together, ‘they say. And you can’t get a hearing to prove them wrong and the M.P’s who have the power are in the conspiracy to lie. In fact anyway, the last election shows very clearly that policy can be made on the hoof.

The establishment of the ConDem alliance after the results emerged led to a situation in which none of the manifestos had the slightest significance and the votes to establish tuition fees against the express undertaking of half the alliance, and the plans to demolish the N.H.S. which were and are opposed by the majority of the voters, show how contemptuously a promise can be treated. The contempt with which our M.P.s view their electorate is very well demonstrated by their election material, which has all the intellectual appeal of an ad for a soap powder. The Government is loyal to Capital Britain, and that is all that matters.

It seems to me that in respect of any or all of these matters our political system is a long way short of a democracy and that we are living with a power structure which is overwhelmingly dominated by Capital Britain, whose interests are the only matters of concern and to the well-being of which we are deeply subservient. I see no reason to withhold the adjective ‘totalitarian’ from this society, and really it deserves not the slightest respect: the misery and loss of life and destruction of wealth that it is causing and which will affect all of us, (not just those elsewhere), is manifestly vastly greater than any previous regime of the kind has ever accomplished. Totalitarian, then, but in view of two other matters which I have not yet addressed it seems more appropriate to describe what is emerging as fascist.

a). the Media. It is clear, I think, from a great deal of the discussion which goes on in the web in such sites as Media Lens and Global Research, that there is a widely held view that there is no major publicly available news and current affairs radio or television channel and no newspaper which reports events in a manner free of bias. The reason that this bias matters is that it is invariably bias towards a rather ill-defined centre which is very close to Capital Britain, of which, of course most of the media form a part.

This is not quite the same as the government, though the interests of the one are close to the interests of the other,, so that Capital Britain, in dictating the slant to be given to reporting, is not the latter day equivalent of Dr. Goebbels, nor indeed is it the voice of any political party or any other single centre of influence. None the less its voice is Funf to the media industry and what it emits is propaganda. Propaganda.

There are books which describe in detail how the bias operates, (see refs. 3, 4, and 5), and I won’t spend time here trying to summarise how it works, but the effect of the bias is to create an electorate of which the overwhelming majority do not question any situation which is presented to them. Just look at the litany of bland lies and deliberate misrepresentations emerging from the press and the B.B.C. even as I write, about the uprising in Egypt and compare it with the factual situation set out by Professor Chossudovsky (ref 6). This I find the most frightening aspect of the whole situation in which we find ourselves in Britain today, and it stamps the word ‘fascist’ across every aspect of Government.

b). The police. The horrors of living in a fascist state are already becoming apparent, and recent events have shown clearly that the Governments’ view of the proper role of the police is a long way short of desirable. Schoolchildren find themselves ‘kettled’ if they protest against the imposition of tuition fees. The disabled are hauled out of wheelchairs and dragged across the street to encourage others to protest violently. Demonstrations are deliberately turned violent by police so that our bent media can show the public how nasty these kids really are. (And all this just outside the House of Commons, where lobby fodder are debating the cuts, but none venture outside to see what all the noise is about.).

Small kids, (well, 12 years old) are bullied by police officers without a parent in sight for thinking they might have a little demonstration of their own against cuts. We have policemen in disguise joining protest movements acting as agents- provocateur, and going to bed with any of the protesters they can interest in joining them, to promote their credentials. We have proposals for I.D. cards to help keep everybody under control, and surveillance cameras to make prosecutions easier, and police forces doing funny things to sort out Mr. Sheridan, and more funny things to secure the future of Mr. Assange. And paid private armies of thugs involved in deporting and killing people who shouldn’t be here. And all of it hush-hushed and not talked about.

Conclusion. Well; this seems to me like incipient Fascism. It hints very clearly at the way Britain is going. And I don’t think it is the way it ought to go. It has no virtue – it is being sold to us as an inevitable part of the remedy for our economic troubles, but there are better ways of looking after the economic wellbeing of the country than thrusting most of us into poverty and despair. It is good to realise that I am not alone in this desire. There are a few people in the media who are alert to what is happening. John Pilger is one. Jonathan Cook is another. There is also a much higher level of awareness on the web, where individual people can actually have an audible voice, but it is a voice which does not easily reach the world outside. Some people in the union movement seem to understand. The best thing to hope for in my view is that some of the Liberals in the Coalition see the evil that is breeding and bring down the whole shoddy enterprise.

They could then go to the country for an election which has at its core the attempt to establish a system of government with a written constitution which eradicates the problems. It might, of course be very dangerous to play about with it. A lot needs to be said to make sure that the rules about access to whatever discussions take place is democratically decided, and that proposals are thought through with integrity, but it is premature to worry about that. If this does not happen, it seems to me that unless we begin as a people to engage seriously with what is afoot in some other way, there is no hope for any of us. Starving the poor to feed the rich is something we last started to get rid of at Runnymede, and it has been a long haul. We don’t want to start again. Do we?
