WIGAN STALINISTAS IN ACTION
It is important that this post STAYS ON TOP. It's a long post, but we want as many Wigan people reading it as possible - give it 36 hours at least.
It shows that the Labour party has declared war on its own people. It refuses to allow debate by Wigan people about the Labour party. Read the comments I copied, and go here:
http://www.wigantoday.net/wigannews/Angry-scenes-at-shortlist-meeting.5973982.jp
Look at the comments; look at the deletions, and check with these copied comments to see what they deleted, to see what they are sensitive about, and to see how petty they sometimes are.
This was the comment thread as I copied it - I missed one or two, but the evidence is overwhelming - THE MODERN LABOUR PARTY CONSISTS OF STALINISTS. Do the people of Wigan want to vote for these critters?
The job started off easily enough - there appeared to be only one apparatchik doing the deleting. But it got progressively more difficult as they must have been phoning around their fellow Labour activists to get help. By the end, comments were going up and instntly being deleted - still, it kept them off the bottle and the weed I suppose. That's my little social service for this week.
We now have evidence to present to the electorate demonstrating that Labour no longer believes in Liberty for the British people in general and, locally, the Wigan people in particular.

By Richard Bean
A selection row has rocked the search for Labour's choice of the next Wigan MP.
There were angry scenes at the weekend's Wigan Constituency Labour Party (CLP) meeting after local woman Emma McGurrin failed to make the final list of six Labour hopefuls fighting to replace Neil Turner.
Her supporters will meet this week to discuss making a formal objection to the General Secretary of the Labour Party.
They erupted into noisy chanting when the result was announced and a number walked out.
Miss McGurrin, cousin of Sky News presenter Kay Burley, declined to comment on the outcome but Wigan Labour Party said claims about irregularities had "no substance".
She is now known to have been invited to apply for the Makerfield seat, which is also going begging after Ian McCartney's surprise decision to stand down.
As we went to press eight other candidates have come forward, but Miss McGurrin remains the sole 'local' choice so far.
The six-strong group chosen to fight the Wigan seat for Labour are: Metro cabinet member for children and young people Coun Susan Loudon; former Government Asylum and Immigration Minister Barbara Roche; policy advisor for the charity Children's Society Lisa Nandy; Liverpool City Council member and full-time party worker Roz Gladden; East Midlands Development Agency member and former European Parliament candidate in 2004 Elizabeth Donnelly and Hackney Labour councillor Nargis Khan.
Miss McGurrin's supporters allege that some Wigan Labour members were turned away because of a supposed lack of space to accommodate them in Hallgate's Unite office venue.
They say the doors were locked against voters gaining entry BEFORE the meeting start deadline.
One furious Wigan CLP member who did attend the meeting said: "The meeting was moved from The Deanery High – which obviously has loads of room – to the Unite office, which doesn't.
"Officials decided there was no more room and locked the doors before we were due to start, leaving supporters out in the cold.
"When the result was announced people couldn't believe it. There was booing and people broke into a round of chants for 'McGurrin, McGurrin' before there was a mass walkout. It just wasn't right."
Makerfield CLP applications close this Thursday. Members name their six-strong panel on January 23.

Not surprised at the protest.
I keep saying it; there would be a massive outcry of 'sexist' at a male only short list.
Discrimination is discrimination and there is nothing 'positive' about it. There are only negative effects from policies such as this.

Laughable.
If only we could find a decent local independent candidate to rally round.
Maybe Kay Burley could give up her sky news job.;-).

It's all fixed.
You don't need to go out and vote because as long as you are outnumbered by benefit claimants it's pointless.
Look where all the post offices are. Norley and Asda.
Just hope the rest of the country is not as thick.
But with all the extremists the BNP will do well I think.

Does that not show the arrogance and contempt of this Party to there own members ?
Leave them, out in the cold at polling day.

We should not be shocked by this situation, Wigan has always been a guaranteed labour seat,to have an mp from Wigan who is decent and honest is never going to happen, a yes man / woman who has no links with the town and can be controlled from Labour hq, and needs a safe seat is always going to be in position, the day Wigan wakes up and tries a different option, then and only then do we have a chance of reading some positive comments in columns like this , It would not take much to win the Wigan public over, a bit of decency, honesty and a will to try on behalf of the borough.

dougiesmate,

I actually don't believe this article.
The idea that there were lots of people (who later staged a mass walk out) supporting this woman but she could not get on a shortlist (not the selection but just to go forward to the next round!) or that they were locked out beforehand is just not credible. A quick search on the internet shows that Labour selections and shortlists are one member one vote. So this McGurrin lady didn't get enough votes compared to some who are not even known?!? It is faintly ridiculous to think that is because members were prevented from selecting her.
I know there will be the usual anti lot who will swallow this story hook line and sinker because it fits their own vision of the Labour party, but those of us who are not so blinkered retain a healthy dose of scepticism for stories like this.
The most telling line is "She is now known to have been invited to apply for the Makerfield seat..."

Could the WEP not have put a small picture and brief writeup of the 6 chosen to fight the Wigan seat for Labour.

It is a quite importent, your next Mp.

Deletions and filth will be pointless this time - I am copying each comment as it is posted.
Given that it takes approximately a minute and a half for a deleton to go through, I should catch the lot. I can keep this up for several days if necessary.
When the debate is over, I may tidy up and publish the wuole thing on Wigan Patriot, if it gets bad enough.

As I thought. Post 12 didn't last long.
All I said was that post 11, Quoting "Decency, Honesty and Will. Could be a recruiting call for the BNP.

More importantly - let the people of Wigan know what the God fearing decent Labour party they used to vote for morphed into when it became "New" Labour.
That God fearing decent Labour party was the one I was once a member of.
23
Morgan,

I tried following both - but could only manage the one - it's not so simple trying to catch every comment. So put the word on that post - the debate will be taking place here - even Brierly stuff if you wish.
Doing this is a little boring though, and I doubt if I can comment much of my own.

On the Bob Brierly site, all I did was to agree with a previous post that was praising Bob for his determination to fight for the people of Wigan. I think I upset the censor when I pointed out that those qualities that they identified in Bob where to be found in the BNP, and if they wanted change, they should vote BNP as they are more likely to be able to affect that change than a lone voice. Strange people out there.

Truth, to some people is like a beacon of light, to others it is like a laser beam, shrivelling their souls.
The so called labour party have now gone so far down the path of deceit that truth is poison to them.
Truth, education and devotion to country is now required to reverse our decline; only the BNP are prepared to follow the path necessary.

I don't actually get why some of these comments are deleted. I think the BNP are reprehensible but I also believe they can be easily beaten in open debate. OK some of the posts on here are little more than "dur, vote BNP cuz dey are gud and labour are ded bad" but I rather like the general public seeing that (not that they read these sites) as they can form their own conclusions. The usual conclusion being don't vote BNP.
So that said - I am as anti BNP as the next person - I still don't get why a lot of these comments are being deleted?!?

I'm a BNPer and we wlcome debate - nothing but good can come from it - if we are beaten in it, then fair dos.
The deletions are generally random to disrupt debate about the Labour party - make people give up and go elsewhere. Mention of the BNP is only the excuse they use. They thrive in the dark - shrivel in the light.
Keep commenting - even anti-BNP comments will be posted on Wigan Patriot.

UPDATE
I just conducted a small experiment, Comment 103
No deletions for a while, so I posted the following entirely innocuous comment:
"Can we please discuss the main topic. I'll stay out of it. I just want to read what people think."
Immediately deleted. Confirmed what I suspected - they FEAR me after what I've done to them over the past few days. My name is enough to get them into deletion mode. I'm honoured actually - Labour party's professional dirty tricksters down at Walworth Road frightened of little old - and I mean old - me.
I had noticed that after the evisceration I committed on UaB and Buzz that they were no longer arguing with me - just deleting as fast as they could. Hope this post gets spread around, and I must thank Jack at Lunatic Arms for doing what he can to help that happen.
Thank you Jack.
Incidentally, the deleted comment 84 was also mine - in-between the two comments they left in place. In it I had said that if I was Gordon Brown I'd sack the lot of them for incompetence. Which is why comment 85 said that I would throw a laser printer and a mobile phone at them first. We know all the (provable) stories about Brown and his mental difficulties. I hope there are tight controls on the use of nukes.

And the loss of our Freedoms and Liberties.
