A FORECAST BEFORE THE EVENT

An interesting front page from the VoF in 2005 when the present economic meltdown was predicted by Nick Griffin.

It is interesting that the crisis was not predicted by any of the other parties nor the "experts" in the banking system.
How can people vote for these incompetents (or liars) to run our country?

The talk is that no one could have forseen the disaster but Nick obviously did over 2 years before the Northern Rock debacle.
He has a skill that the others lack forecasting events before they happen. It's not much use after.

The other parties are to coin a phrase "not fit for purpose" and at last people are beginning to realise this, hence our rapidly increasing membership and support.

Soon we will begin to rout these political pygmies and regain our country and revitalise our financial and manufacturing industries, but they will react to defend their lucrative jobs at our expense, and thus today we see their alarm at finding two of our members in the immigration service. They find this horrific but don't complain when illegal immigrants are working in the same organisation facilitating the admission of their foreign friends to our country.

All publicity is good publicity but expect some real venom as the EU elections approach and we become even stronger.

DIGNITY IN SORROW

An interesting picture in yesterday's Times illustrates what I said in a recent blog about the suffering endured by our forebears in the Lancashire coalfield. The photo shows wives and mothers of miners working in a pit after an explosion in Golborne going to ascertain whether their loved ones have been killed.

No doubt some of their descendants are now being denied work and housing and some addicted to drugs.

Contrast the dignity of these poor pre war widows contrasts with the rioters in London last weekend or those trying to disrupt our RWB festival.
Society is obviously more prosperous but is it necessarily better?

EAT OR HEAT

In these times of severe economic hardship, with much worse to come, there are hundreds of thousands of people in our country who have to choose between eating or heating. Many of these people are our pensioners, amongst whom the death rate soars in cold weather.

What could we do if we had an extra £1.073 BILLION per week to put towards helping out our people in this difficult eat or heat situation? Where would we get this massive amount of extra money? That £1.073 billion PER WEEK is the cost of our membership of the European Union. I think I can leave you to work through your own logic calculations about our EU membership.

http://thejournal.parker-joseph.co.uk/blog/_archives/2009/1/11/4053717.html

Let's take a look at the "heat" part of the calculation. How is the European Union helping us out with that? Well, it isn't ... and it's planning on making things a lot worse. Have a read (ripe language warning for the more sensitive amongst us):

All of these difficulties are, of course, exarcerbated by current (and upcoming) economic problems. What do Brown and Darling have in the pipeline for us? Have another read - and language warnings are pretty standard for that blog:

Coming soon, a la Weimar and Scumbage's Rhodesia: 1 billion pound /1 Australian dollar.

I wish I had better news to tell you. And here's a little something to throw into the Global Warming debate:

The owner of that blog is not a nationalist, but he does have a friendly inclination towards the British Nationalist Party.

And here's a final word (for this post) on the Global Warming debate. Anyone remember back to the 1970s when the great climate fear was a new Ice Age? The world has a history of 100,000 year ice ages interspersed with 12,000 year warm periods. The current warm period is well over 12,000 years old, so historically, we're due an ice age. What do you think an ice age is? Well, to give you a hint: if you are reading this from anywhere in Britain, then where you are sitting right now was under an ice layer at least a mile deep. Global warming Britain can survive - indeed, we'd be able to produce much more food if our climate was a few degrees warmer ... but an ice age will be the death of Britain and the rest of northern Europe, northern Russia, all of Canada and a big part of the U.S.A. Warming isn't a worry, cooling is. Read it all

Just being my usual cheerful little self. Sweet dreams.

PRINCE HARRY'S "OFFENSIVE" COMMENTS

Yes, although Prince Harry was joking and larking about in his PRIVATE home video he did make an offensive comment.

In his mock phone call to his Grandma the Queen he ended by saying "God save you".
In former years this would have meant the block for treason but even though in jest there was a hint of mockery at our national anthem.

I am a lukewarm royalist (I would be more supportive of the monarchy if the Queen refused to sign away our British rights to Europe),but this is not mockery of his grandma. It mocks the National Anthem which to me represents our country AND IT'S PEOPLE and thus should not be mocked while it is in use.
I would prefer "I Vow To Thee My Country" but as yet this is not our anthem and we should show respect to the existing one.
All the hoo ha has been about calling in a friendly way a person from Pakistan my "Paki friend", note the last word friend.

These people seem to go about being offended about so many things, English people are afraid to speak in case they are prosecuted.
They should stop being offended. We in our party are often been called offensive names but that seems OK. Only Afro Asians and "gays" must not be offended.

I would like to say WHAT OFFENDS ME--
THE TAKING OVER OF MY COUNTRY BY FOREIGNERS WITHOUT OUR CONSENT.

These people who dislike our way of life are quick to take advantage of it by claiming houses, benefits and suing anyone who "offends" them under the anti British race laws
They are not offended enough to return to or remain in their own countries where they will be shielded from this "offending speech".

NOBODY ASKS WHAT OFFENDS US, well I'm getting sick of it.
What offends you?

NEW HEADER

I'm trying to improve the look of our blog and make it more user friendly but as an oldie have not mastered all the tricks available.
I await my grand daughters expertise in this.

The header is of a pit wheel which I have in my yard which I thinks represents the people of Wigan and respects the toil and often death of our forebears who bequeathed our town to US.

It is not a big wheel, only 6 foot in diameter but was used on the headgear of a small local pit 100 years ago and latterly at Windy Arbour Colliery. It was I believe originally in the headgear of "Low Brooks Colliery" about which a book was written under the title "The Unfortunate Pit" in view of the many deaths from explosions underground.

I painted the colours in black and gold to represent the wealth (for some) gained from Wigan's famous coal industry (and my sadness at its demise) and my pride in what the working men of Wigan achieved.

WIGAN IGNORED

So Gordon Brown visits the North West at great cost to find out what concerns people of our region. He took questions from "a selected audience" and gave his usual anodyne answers to the planted questions.

Note the audience and thus the questions were "selected". Hardly an opportunity for him to meet real people and hear or answer their questions. He wouldn't dare.
He brought other cabinet ministers who fanned out over South Lancashire (the real original Lancashire) to see and talk to other selected people.

Studying a map of these visits reminded me of a Polo mint with a big hole in the middle.
Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington, Bury, Bolton and Leyland. The large central area which included Wigan and Leigh was left out, this in spite of Leigh being the constituency of Andy Burnham.

Why was this? Could it be because this central area has the safest Labour seats and they can be safely ignored? Or are we not "diverse" enough to warrant any encouragement?

We have become used to being ignored and our road system is among the worst in the country. A third of a million people seemingly do not count. However judging by their financial incompetence and inability to avoid disaster it will make no difference but it shows the low regard this area is shown by these "top people"

WE DESERVE BETTER! We were at the heart of Britains industrial revolution and wealth which our forefathers toiled and sometimes died to create.
It is up to us to upset this complacency and promote our policies which would breath new life into our area and this we are determined to do.

We believe in our area and its people because we are of it and them.
We will not use the people of this area as a milch cow to give us a cushy job followed by well paid "industrial consultancies" gained by not what you know but who.
We stand for and with the people, OUR PEOPLE! and will promote THEIR INTERESTS ABOVE ALL ELSE!

HEALTH CONCERNS OR MIND CONTROL?

A disaster which is destroying our local communities is taking place by stealth aided and abetted by government legislation, namely the closure of many of our best loved pubs.
30 years ago all our villages had Labour clubs, working mens clubs, British Legions and many more pubs than they have now.

The Hare and Hounds pub pictured above is one of the latest casualties and there are another two former prosperous pubs in Billinge alone which are up for sale. Many all over Wigan are under threat.
Pubs are one of the institutions for which Britain is famous and which will soon cease to be part of our landscape which will be immeasurably poorer for their demise.

Local MPs weep crocodile tears over this loss but they are the cause of this.
High business taxes, rates and alcohol duty have all contributed but the final nail in the coffin has been the blanket ban on smoking in pubs, brought in on spurious health grounds.

If MPs were so concerned about the detrimental effects of smoking why is it that the only bar in the country in which smoking is allowed is in the House of Commons? Do you honestly think MPs care about our health more than they do their own? Smoking is also allowed in the European Parliament in Brussels.

As a retired doctor and ex smoker I am perfectly aware of the danger of smoking as I am aware of the dangers of some sports and alcohol in excess.
However I, as an Englishman believe in freedom so long as people know the risks of their actions.
There should be smoking pubs and non smoking pubs, but that would lead, as I have experienced to empty non smoking and full smoking pubs. I, given the choice would avoid the non smoking pubs if only to avoid the boring self righteous people in them.

The government knows this. It wants to destroy pubs and working mens clubs. Why? Because when working people meet over a pint they often voice politically incorrect opinions and could in some cases voice, Heaven forbid views similar to those of the BNP and that would never do would it?

Many political movements and unions had their birth in pubs and thus they are seen as a threat to the governing elite of Europe and its British poodle.
PUBS AND CLUBS ARE A DANGER TO THE EXISTING POLITICAL ORDER SO THEY MUST BE QUIETLY KILLED.
Meanwhile people can sit at home with their cheap lager and be brainwashed by the government controlled gogglebox. THEY will not start rocking the government's cosy boat.
Also the profits made from this cheap undrinkable crap will go to companies who fund the major parties.

1984 IS HERE NOW AND ONLY THE BNP CAN SEE IT.
So stop pretending to save our pubs, you hypocritical MPs.
You have destroyed them but THE BNPcan see through you!

WE WILL RESTORE THEM!
