A FAMILY TIE AND A COMMON BOND

It's surprising what you find out while researching matters completely unrelated to politics.
I was contacted by a person who had been doing her family tree and who had found out that she and I were distantly related.

I knew her father well but did not realise that we had a common ancestor in the early 19th century.

I rang her up and it seems she has had trouble with the local council re her council house.
She wanted a move to another council house and all was arranged but she found out that she would have been unable to have a parking space for her car. She needed this as she is disabled, so the deal fell through.

Soon after a new parking space and bathroom was provided and a family of immigrants have moved in and the surround to the house is a tip with rubbish all over the place, so that my relative has to take her bin out through her house to get it emptied.

The council say they can do nothing about this antisocial tenant.
So there you have it, yet another uninvited guest being given preference over people whose families have lived in the area for centuries.
I know of other such instances.

What are your Labour and Tory councillors doing apart from collecting their generous allowances and additional expenses when Wigan people whose families have lived and contributed for centuries languish on waiting lists unable to get decent accommodation in their OWN area.

AND WE ARE TOLD TO WELCOME THIS ANTI BRITISH DISCRIMINATION!

NO WONDER PEOPLE ARE TURNING MORE AND MORE TO THE BNP.

WE REFUSE TO BE SECOND CLASS CITIZENS IN OUR OWN COUNTRY.

HOW DO WE TOP THAT?

As the pictures show we had yet another excellent meeting last night. The pictures below were taken during the interval and shows small parties of "BNP thugs" enjoying a chat and a pint

The star attraction of course was our Chairman Mr Nick Griffin MEP and the combination of his attendance and the excellence of the venue drew a crowd counted at 240.
Not bad for a political meeting!
How long is it since a Labour Party meeting had so many attendees.
Nick walked into the room to tumultuous applause and was almost engulfed by people wanting to shake his hand or have their photos taken with him
Perhaps 70 had never attended a BNP meeting before and were impressed by the general friendly civilised atmosphere and of course the quality of Nick's speech. I've had e mails today saying what a good night it was, social as well as political.
He touched on many topics but one of the main ones was that the media barons, pehaps a dozen people control all the information people receive and thus politicians must pay homage to them. This is one reason why they are so universally hostile to our party. They will speak with terrorists, murderers, traitors but refuse to share a platform with us.
Another reason they will not debate with us is that they know we would win the debate.
He said that to have won two MEPs in the face of the continual barrage of lies was a credit to all the activists who had worked so hard.
A member pointed out that only our party depended on the contributions from ordinary members. We have no mega rich benefactors or unions fleecing their members for the Labour Party.
Nick pointed out that even if somebody offered a large sum of money to change our policy, as is the case in other parties we would refuse it.
WE ARE A PARTY OF PRINCIPLE AND NOT FOR SALE!
We have learnt from the smear leaflets put out by other parties against us. Our advice is "people who live in glass houses should not throw stones"
Also mentioned was the importance of attending the RWB festival.
The local council has slapped an order on us banning caravans from the field in a particularly vindictive way. This is presumably because the rabble of the Left vandalised the local villages last time. Many were arrested. No BNP members were arrested but the local council TRIED to make us suffer.
It seems OK for drug fuelled festivals such as Glastonbury to take place (I wonder what the locals think about that), attended by ageing "rebels" from the BBC drinking Champagne at our expense but 50 caravans in a quiet field 600 yards off a country lane is too much to tolerate.
I wonder whether we will be done for having an illegal Punch and Judy show this time.
Well I have a ventrioquist's dummy and I will take that and see if they try to do me for unlicenced entertaining. It could be interesting.
Well they will not as we will take caravans to other sites and subsidise the cost.
All in all the best ever North West meeting which ended with three cheers for our Chairman Mr Nick Griffin MEP.
How do we follow that?

LABOUR'S RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN STARTS NOW

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8171689.stm

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/8171865.stm

GORDON Brown is pinning Labour's re-election hopes on a strategy of dragging injured soldiers through the courts and trying to steal their money.

The prime minster has instructed the Ministry of Defence to make wounded servicemen beg for compensation in a move that he believes will wrong-foot the Tories and secure millions of votes across middle England.

A Labour spokesman said: "If there is one thing this country is absolutely sick of it is lazy, horribly injured soldiers lying around doing nothing all day except suffering constant pain and terrifying flashbacks.

"I think most people will be shocked to learn we have given them any money, let alone just enough for them to begin rebuilding their shattered lives.

"This is money that could be used to provide high-class prostitutes and Wii games for those unfortunate teenage boys who found themselves in a young offenders' institute after being forced to break into your house."

He added: "Everyone knows that when you join the army you can either choose to go to war or you can choose to stay at home and provide back-up in case of a fire brigade strike.

"And even if you do go to war you are under no legal requirement to follow orders, especially if they are really stupid and badly thought out."

The Labour manifesto is likely to propose a programme of ritual humiliation for injured soldiers in what opposition parties condemned as 'naked populism of the worst kind'.

The spokesman said: "We'll give you a couple of grand for a severed leg, but you are going to have to bring the leg with you, re-enact the explosion and be judged by a panel of celebrities before we write the cheque."

WHAT DO YOUR ENEMIES THINK?

THE general verdict among the German generals I interrogated in 1945 was that Field-Marshal von Manstein had proved the ablest commander in their Army, and the man they had most desired to become its Commander-in-Chief.
Captain B. H. Liddel Hart

So … that would make Manstein the best general of the entire war then? Now then, what did this man, probably the most formidable individual general this country's army has faced since Napoleon, think about the character of the British?

O.K.H. was bound to regard this sceptically from the outset, partly because of the British national character, which made it fairly improbable that Great Britain would come to terms

If Hitler really believed he had already won the war after the defeat of France and that it was now merely a matter of bringing this home to Britain, he could not have been more wrong. The icy indifference of the British to his peace offer - which was anyway an extremely vague one - showed that neither the Government nor the nation were open to persuasion. And so Hitler and O.K.W. found themselves wondering 'What next?'

Certainly no war goes off according to a firm programme set by one side or the other. But
since Hitler accepted the risks of war with France and Britain in September 1939, it was his duty to consider beforehand how he should cope with these powers in various contingencies. It is quite obvious that prior to - or even during - the offensive in France, Germany's supreme command had no kind of 'war plan' to determine what measures should be taken once the victories it hoped for had been won. Hitler's hope was that Britain would give in. …

… the German Supreme Command had two facts to contend with: First, the existence of an unbeaten Britain which was palpably unwilling to come to terms.

… On the other hand, though, it may be that the British national character, so impressively incorporated in the person of Winston Churchill, prevented Britain from entertaining any serious thought of a rational settlement at that or indeed any later stage of the war. There was that admirable tenacity of the British which impels them to go through with any struggle they have once embarked on, however threatening the situation of the moment may be.

In addition to all this, Churchill was probably too much of a fighter. His mind was too exclusively concerned with battle and ultimate victory to see beyond this military goal into the political future.

… Painful though the loss of Gibraltar, Malta and her positions in Egypt and the Near East might well have been for Britain, it would certainly not have been fatal. Indeed, the British being as they are, it would presumably have served only to stiffen their national will. The British nation would have refused to accept these losses as final and would have gone on fighting all the more bitterly. In all probability it would have given the lie to the slogan about the Mediterranean being the life-line of the Empire. It is also most unlikely that the Dominions would have withdrawn their support.

I wonder what today’s scumbaggy enemies think of us … given that we can’t even deport foreign nonces and murderers ?

Sad isn’t it, what successive governments have been doing to the British character.

A fascinating account of one man’s war, and he wrote it for easy reading. Read it all, or just pick out the bits that interest you. Whatever – you’ll read a new perspective written by our then enemy, and it really will make you seriously consider what you thought happened, in places. Hold your friends close; hold your enemies closer.

FIGHTING WIGAN'S CORNER?

Our illustrious Wigan MP pictured above, (I bet you have never heard of anything he has done for Wigan) is doing his best to combat global warming by flying to the South Pacific on a £ 3,400 business class trip to "exotic spots around the region"
The purpose of the trip it is stated is to "promote the advancement of Parliamentary democracy and understanding of democratic governance".
They will fly to Fiji from where they will take connecting flights to Kiribati (no I have never heard of it either) and then on to Tonga where older people remember at the Queen's coronation they sent their pleasant queen to the ceremonies. I believe they are a happy race, possibly a bit overweight owing to their love of pig meat, in many ways a suitable refuelling stop for our MP.
From there on to Tuvalu and then to Vanuatu before returning to London.
I would have thought that these exotic island communities would have worked out a political system suitable to their needs without advice from people such as Mr Turner, a member of a party which refuses to condemn hammer attacks against political opponents. They have surely nothing to learn from the anti democratic Labour Party which has all but abolished the right to free speech in this country.
I am sure the people of Wigan, stuck in traffic jams, unable to get housing owing to immigrants being given preference, or waiting in Brocol House for their dole, having been made unemployed by the policies of his government, appreciate Mr Turner's efforts on their behalf.
BTW the picture above was taken from the website "They work for you",
It's good to know Mr Turner is always "working for Wiganers".
We are indeed fortunate in having an MP who works for us 12 months a year,(and it's all "within the rules").
THANK GOD FOR BRITISH DEMOCRACY AND PROBITY.

FASCIST POLICE IN CODNOR

I am flaming neawt.

Amber Valley council has put a ban on caravans for our RWB festival this year.
This is a spiteful vindictive rule put in place especially for us to try and stop our festival.

It seems OK for steam rallies or motorbike rallies or even the drug fuelled Glastonbury festival with hundreds of thousands of people, druggies, thieves and of course middle class hippies including hundreds of wealthy lefties of the BBC to clog the roads in Somerset, but perhaps 50 caravans for two nights in Codnor is unacceptable.

We are not allowed to have a drinks licence and last year were threatened with prosecution for having an unlicensed Punch and Judy show.
A man playing his own music (so no breach of copyright there) was stopped playing and a photo of the microphone was taken. I saw this happen.

The police are against our festival because hundreds of anti British rabble want to cause trouble to the local inhabitants so they complain about the disruption.
This trades union and Labour supported rabble cost the local police force £250,000. (perhaps it would have been better to let them in and we would have sorted them out for nothing)

I dont blame these inhabitants but why don't the police stop all the coaches in Codnor bringing this rabble and let us get on with our festival.
If these people were not bent on disruption there would be no need for any police presence.

Our festival is well run and antisocial behaviour is not tolerated. We don't need the police.
BUT the politically correct police put any possible obsticle in our way in an effort to stop us. It is just like the Stazi in former East Germany.

WHY ARE THERE NO RESTRICTIONS ON TORY OR LABOUR RALLIES?
It is obvious the state is trying to prevent our lawful gatherings on private land.
BUT WE WILL NOT BE STOPPED. THERE WILL BE MORE AT THE FESTIVAL THIS YEAR THAN EVER.
I have plans, within this unjust law of thwarting them, details later.

BTW we have Romany Gypsies among our members. What are you going to do about their "Human Rights"? and in any case what about ours?

STAZI COPS, YOU WILL NEVER DEFEAT US. REMEMBER WHEN THE COUNTRY FINALLY DOES GO PEAR SHAPED, which it will even with the Tories in power---WE MAY BE YOUR BOSSES. WHAT THEN?

I ask all true patriots to make the effort to go to the RWB and show these fascists that as free people in a supposedly free country WE ARE ENTITLED TO HAVE OUR GET TOGETHER.

IF WE ARE DEFEATED IN THIS IT WILL BE ANOTHER NAIL IN THE COFFIN OF BRITISH FREEDOM.

THE WORLD RECOGNITION STAKES

San Francisco bringing up the rear at 71

Sydney a nose ahead at 82

Paris moving rapidly up on the inside with 326

But at least two lengths clear, in the lead is that leviathan of the World Recognition Stakes, Wigan. So a big cheer for Wigan and its score of 440 ...

... surveillance cameras.

Market Place, Wigan

Looks like Big Brother NuLabour just doesn’t trust the people of a town that can produce more than 7,000 BNP voters.

Big Brother Nulabour is your local council, and also your national government. Do you like having your lives monitored and regulated by people who obviously don’t trust you?

So what are you going to do about it eh? Go on – what are you going to do?

There will be a general election and a major local authority election within ten months. So what are you going to do about it?

A WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING

Cllr. Nigel Ash

A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing!

"This Council views with grave concern the implications of the amount of people in the Borough that voted BNP in the European Parliamentary elections that took place on Thursday June 4 2009."

Taken from Cllr. Nigel Ash's latest post on his personal Blog regarding last week's council meeting!

"We, as a Council and individual Councillors, must pledge to the people of this Borough that we will work harder to understand their concerns and support policies that promote jobs, better housing and fairness for all."

"If this is to work successfully all party leaders that support these values must pledge to put their differences to one side and fight those who may act like a wolf in sheep's clothing in working against these values!"

MANDELSONIA

I'm so outraged by this little story that I'm quite blatantly nicking it in its entirety, from here:

He is the most powerful 'pink' person in the country, he is unelected, he will remain at the centre of power, even after the corrupt edifice of Nu Labour is swept away. He will remain in the Lords until somebody places a stake through his dark heart.

One 'man' rules this country unelected, unaccountable, unpalatable, the result of the fear and cowardice of Nu Labour.

Surely I'm not the only one who finds this disturbing? And the " Families, Children and Young People" Cabinet committee? Mandelbum? And what about this one? - " Borders and Migration "? Special interest in "Young People" from Brazil, do we suppose?

POSTING THE WRONG LETTER

According to reports our illustrious Home Secretary Alan Johnson "is not losing any sleep" over the prospects of our population rising to 70 million.
That is equivalent to 10 Birminghams extra or 15%.
He likes multiculturalism. OK fine if he does.
BUT MILLIONS OF US DON'T.

Where does he think all these extra people are going to live? What will the do to earn their living? Where is the land, water and food going to come from?
We are already the most overcrowded country in Europe. We want some places for peace and quiet. We want a British way of life.

The influx of all these people is like gatecrashers to a party. They were not invited by the hosts.
We, like the hosts of a party do NOT welcome uninvited guests.

Mr Johnson is not entitled by his brief stay at the Home Ofice to irreversibly alter the population and character of our country. He is not the host in control of our country and he has no right to set himself up as such.
It was not in the Labour manifesto and he has no right to impose his wishes on the British people.

As an ex postman let him post his ideas for a future Britain through people's letter boxes and see how many votes he gets.

Perhaps that is why he ceased to be a postman, posting the wrong letters.
He should go back to his former job, but before he does he should realise--

WE DO NOT WELCOME IMMIGRANTS NOR A CHANGE TO OUR SOCIETY.

The problems that this policy, if continued, WOULD CAUSE HIM MORE THAN LOSS OF SLEEP.

NICK GRIFFIN'S SPEECH

The above is the link to Nick Griffin's maiden speech in the European Parliament.
It was fantastic, short and to the point.

My wife often asks me do I write his speeches. It seems like it but I dont but he says exactly what I said on a blog a few days ago.
His bringing into the short time allotted to him the fascistic attacks on democracy by hammer wielding thugs sponsored by the Tories and Labour Parties brings in to the open in Europe the democracy deficiency in Britain.

His warning about the West's belligerence to the admittedly undemocratic country of Iran is timely, and his wish that we are not drawn into unwinnable wars against muslim countries is sensible.
Only today we read in the papers of Israeli missile bearing submarines transiting the Suez canal ready to attack Iran.

Now I don't like the regime in Iran but I don't want our country to be drawn into any conflict between Israel and that country.
The odds are that Israel will attack the nuclear facilities in Iran as they have done in Iraq and Syria, but we should not be drawn into it.

Nick is right. We are not the world's policeman and should keep out of any conflict. As he said if the politicians think fighting is a good thing they should send their family
He also in his speech gives the lie to those who say our party is against muslims.

We are NOT but they have their countries and way of life and we have ours. They don't want our ways and we don't want theirs.
We should both keep our noses out of other countries business

MORE GOVERNMENT STUPIDITY

A PERSPECTIVE ON SCHOOLS.

The announcement of a proposed PFI funded school in Lowton gives a perspective of what is wrong with this governments attitude to education (and everything else)
They seem to think that buildings are at the heart of education and everything else, paid for by PFI of course thus sadddling the taxpayers with debts for years to come.

A LITTLE STORY OF MY EDUCATION.

I started school in 1944 and learnt to write on a slate. We had to make a piece of chalk last a week and then we could have a book (cut in half) and a pencil. There was no school secretary or phone but if we misbehaved we were caned, as I was. We sat facing the teacher and had to pay attention.

There was a small playground but we had a football field by the council tip, the "mucky alley" as we called it. Health and safety would have had a fit nowadays but we came to no harm.

By the age of 7 we all knew our tables and by nine knew fractions and decimals. Everybody could read.
Technical drawing was taught at age eleven and started quite a few on their career as draughtsmen and engineers.
I later went to Grammar School and had lessons in (horror) asbestos huts which were so cold that we wore our coats in lessons. It was only later that we moved to new premises.

If buildings had a significant effect all my fellow pupils at primary school and grammar school would have been failures.

Instead they progressed to jobs as tradesmen, engineers, the professions and several becoming university lecturers.
In spite of the admittedly poor classrooms all made the best of themselves, and kept on the right side of the law.

I often meet fellow pupils who benefited from these methods in these spartan conditions and they are well rounded successful retired people.

My experiences have left me believing that it is not the buildings, but the teachers and the school system which are important, and that modern teaching methods are to blame for the shocking deterioration of educational standards.

The only solution this government has is to throw money at the problem and allow private firms to make a huge profit, to be paid back by mortgaging our children's future. The same goes for the NHS.
So in my opinion new "Super Schools" are not the answer. Proper teaching and discipline is.

BTW I was not a model pupil and was often punished for my transgressions and was once told by the Head that "your trouble is that you are agin the government"

I STILL AM.

THE SUPPORTERS OF FASCISM

I have taken this picture from Martin Wingfield's blog. Sorry Martin. I know I have used Tony Ward's picture on a previous blog but this illustrates the point better. As you see the people named at the side are all supporters of the so called Unite against Fascism (UAF) who perpetrated this hammer attack on a person for the only reason that he had a different point of view.

Peter Hain is well known to be a crook and lied over his expenses as well as supporting violence against his opponents in the past.

Keith Vaz is well known as a shady character and friendly with people of dubious repute.

Diane Abbott, the well known Lefty socialist had no hesitation in sending her son to private school in spite of campaigning against private education for others (hypocrit)

David Cameron, surprisingly supports this communist led violent pressure group whose aims bear no relation to his Tory Party of privelidge.
I have e mailed the local senior Tory Cllr Mike Winstanley to get his party to disassociate himself from this violent Trotskyite group but have as yet had no reply.

So there you have it. A group of MPs of little integrity giving support to a group which violently attacks people with whom they disagree.

AND THEY CALL US FASCISTS!

Come on Dave. You are the least odious of this squalid group.

SAY IT PUBLICLY that you are against these thugs OR WE WILL USE IT AGAINST YOU AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY.

We don't expect the others to do so, they are too deep in the sleazy mire, but we hope you will show a little integrity.

THE GLOVES ARE OFF

THE SACRIFICE OF OUR YOUNG LADS

The shambles in Afganistan continues with more of our young lads being killed each day. I can't bear to watch it on TV.
The government says it is important and protecting us from terrorism and we have to expect some casualties in a war.

WE SHOULD NOT BE THERE.
If they think it so important they should send their own sons to risk their lives with inadequate equipment. The amount spent on MPs expenses, if spent on equipment would have saved many lives.

There is no strategy of what to do in future. The Afgan government is corrupt and probably in league with Al Qaida. When we leave chaos will return.
WHAT A WASTE OF GOOD YOUNG LIVES.

The Afgans do not want us in their country. I don't blame them. We would not want a foreign army in our country.
Any terrorist threat to us is caused by two things.

Our presence in their country and Muslims in this country.
The obvious answer. Bring our troops home and send all muslim extremists back.

If there were no muslims here there would be no muslim terrorists. Surely that is obvious.
So for a failed multicultural experiment which was foisted on our people our soldiers die, we are put in danger of terrorism here and innocent Afgans die.

Will these politicians never learn.

BNP policy.

If we were in power all our soldiers would be brought home as soon as possible,(starting tomorrow) and we would cease to interfere with other countries systems of government.

WE ARE NOT THE WORLD'S POLICEMAN!

NICK ON THE ANDREW MARR SHOW

Nick Griffin's first interview on the Andrew Marr show was excellent.
Nick answered the questions easily and refuted many of the lies which are endlessly repeated in the media. He was more than a match for Marr as he is for any interviewer. You can not get behind a man who speaks the truth, a rarety among politicians.

Nick's answers were slick and a bit hurried but accurate. We only found the answer later.
I watch the Andrew Marr show every Sunday and enjoy the newspaper reviews. This time they seemed to go on endlessly discussing important topics such as Michael Jackson, lasting twice as long as usual.
It was only this afternoon I found out why.

The BBC felt bound to give Nick a platform but did not want it to last too long which would have enabled him to state more of our policies which would have resonated with viewers and gained us support.
Thus the BBC adhered to its word in name but shortened it to reduce its impact.
Nevertheless the interview will enrage the thugs of the far left. It was worth it just for that.
More importantly it will have shown Nick as an intelligent man of integrity and will have gained us many friends in spite of the shortness of the interview.

For those who missed it the link is below.

JUDGE A MAN BY HIS FRIENDS

The picture of Gordon Brown shaking hands with Colonel Gadaffi, a man formerly labelled by the British Government as supporting terrorism shows what a hypocrit Brown is. makes you feel like throwing up, doesn't it?

Remember Gadaffi was implicated in the murder of PC Yvonne Fletcher in London in the Eighties and also the Lockerbie bombings.
Brown's other "friends" include IRA terrorists Gerry Adams and Martin Mc Guinness as well as the ruler of China who imposes his will on innocent Tibetans.

It seems he will shake hands and talk with anyone however evil with one exception--an elected member of the BNP.

Labour Tories etc will not even speak to BNP elected members. Not very democratic is it? Do our votes not count ? The people we elected have a right and duty to represent our views.
Why is this denied?

It shows how far the governing classes have strayed from democratic principles when they refuse to debate with us. They MUST be hiding something. They speak to tyrants and murderers.

But then they, the two main parties are complicit in the murder of innocent Iraqis and Afgans as well as our soldiers involved in this illegal war. They then villify us for saying we don't want people displaced by their warlike actions coming here as we are full up, and will not speak to us.

They are no better than the Mafia with their "Omerta" code of silence.
Wealthy controlling murderers controlling our land.
We are out to expose them and bring them to justice, AND THAT IS WHAT THEY FEAR.
AND--

WE WILL. THEY WILL NEVER STOP US.
WE WILL PREVAIL.

ASHTON-IN-MAKERFIELD COUNCILLOR NIGEL ASH SPITS HIS DUMMY OUT

"Not in my name"
Cllr. Nigel Ash

It seems that this local councillor for Ashton-in-Makerfield has a real bee in his bonnet when it comes to the British National Party.

I stumbled across his blog just after the European elections when he was throwing a real strop with the return of two British National Party MEP's. After chucking away his rattle and spitting out his dummy he wrote "not in my name" they're not! (Check out his earlier posts.)

Well he's posted another spat at the British National Party with his latest post on his lame Blog.

It is quite obvious that this chap is a strong supporter of the hammer wielding fascist criminals at HopeNotHate.

Why not pop over to his blog
http://nigelash.blogspot.com/ and have a look at what he has to say!

NORTH WEST REGIONAL MEETING IN WIGAN

Officials and members from the NW region gathered last night for the first organisers meeting since the Euro Elections. The mood was of course boyant especially when our Chairman Nick Griffin walked in. I was surprised to see him.

How he does it I do not know, in Brussels in the morning and at our meeting in Wigan in the evening. He has tremendous energy and it shows his devotion to our region that he managed to make the meeting.

The picture below was taken from Martin Wingfield's blog (sorry Martin) and it shows a small section of those present with not everybody being able to find room at the large circle of tables round the room. Nick explained some of his experiences in Brussels and this was followed by the appointment of new officers for the party (including my wife) who was appointed as NW regional fundholder.
This meant that I had to take a back seat while she sat at the main table. I hope she will talk to me in future.

Seriously I think she will be good after a few lessons of what is expected, as she is a stickler for detail.
Organisers were appointed for new areas as we still have areas which are not adequately covered.

Arrangements were made for closer co operation between groups and branches as we are now in a much larger league and we have to move fast to catch up.

We have great plans for the General Election and candidates are being sought and picked.
The other parties will not know what has hit them come the election.
The meeting lasted 3 hours including a short break and many continued discussing details until nearly midnight.

What a difference a couple of years makes when a small back room in a pub would have been sufficient, we really are growing fast, much of it due to Clive Jefferson whose dedication and push as helped us so much, in spite of the worst that our enemies can throw at us.

These get togethers always leave me elated. It's nice to keep in touch with old friends, exchange experiences and become motivated to overcome the hurdles the undemocratic antics of those against us.

WE ARE GOING PLACES!

MORE USELESS SPIN FROM LABOUR

I see our illustrious Andy Burnham and McCartney are involved in a homeless initiative in Wigan to tackle these issues in Wigan.

They say they will work with "Asylum seekers, travellers, Eastern European migrants and drug users" and advise them on health issues and drug abuse.
Once again they get the wrong end of the stick, perhaps why their policies have been so disastrous in the past.

First of all there is no such person as an asylum seeker as they have all travelled over several safe countries to get here, and are bound by the Geneva Convention to remain in the first safe country they get to.
Secondly "Travellers" are by defintition are on the move, hence the name and should thus have their own travelling accomodation. They are certainly not Wigan's problem.

Eastern European migrants are the same. Why should Wiganers sleep on the street while they live in houses.
Druggies are a product of inadequate policing and penalties for pushers and should be taken in for "Cold Turkey".

Hundreds of decent Wiganers, hard working taxpayers can not get accomodation because of marital breakup and draconian laws.
Our duty as a community should give priority in housing to these our brothers.
The others have nothing to do with us and should not have priority while one genuine Wiganer is homeless.

One matter these paragons of virtue our MPs do not mention, houses. They talk about "health" and "alcoholism" and "drugs".
What good is that if there are no houses?

TYPICAL LABOUR, ALL TALK AND NO MEANINGFUL ACTION but no doubt great expense. Put the money into social housing and less on "initiatives"

But then there would be enough houses in the town if all these people who do not belong were not here.

We are encouraged to welcome these outsiders EVEN WHEN OUR OWN CAN NOT GET HOUSES.

TYPICAL LABOUR BETRAYAL OF ITS CORE SUPPORTERS.

WE'LL SEE YOU AT ELECTION TIME!

NO PASARAN - "NONE SHALL PASS"

Just saying the words isn't enough, is it Red. It didn't work in Spain, and it's not working now.

You take our Chairman to court twice on the same charges - we chop an arm off (pull in more voters); You attack one of our activists with hammers - we take the other arm off (pull in more voters - it's not a coincidence that Wigan produced more BNP votes than any other town or city in the Northwest. Even Lowles describes it as "an unmitigated disaster"); you throw eggs at our Chairman, by now an elected MEP - we chop one of your legs off (pull in yet more support, even a little from the media). Before you know it Red we'll have the other leg too.

What are you going to do then Red - threaten to bite our legs off as we progress on to Downing Street, leaving you behind?

Look, you may be effective up against huge clumsy monolithic organisations (or not?), but when you come up against a sharp and flexible operator like the BNP you're thoroughly outclassed.

Every time you come up against us, we pass you, and we'll keep on doing so all the way to government. Perhaps you ought to change your name from the UAF to The Black Knight.

THE FUNCTION OF THE MONARCH

Not really local but I'm waxing philosophical this afternoon.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE MONARCHY?

Now I am a monarchist, partially because I was brought up to be one but having considered the alternatives I still think it is the preferred method of having a Head of State. It is also a link with tradition and makes millions in tourist money.

Of course that does not include any of the hangers on who are not in a direct line to the throne. They should get a job, as befitting their talents, so not much cost there then.

BUT,
Consider the alternatives.

Tony Blair as President, or Gordon Brown or Cameron or any other politician on the make.

Our Queen is above politics, basically she rubber stamps laws made by the incompetents in Parliament, as is her function as a constitutional monarch.

BUT SHE IS OUR SOVEREIGN.

She embodies the people of our country and its sovereignty or independence.

SO SHE SHOULD PROTECT US and refuse to sign any laws which bring us closer to being dominated by the EU which diminish our independence or sovereignty.

It could be argued that as a constitutional monarch she has no power--but she has.
If she did not sign these laws would not pass.
Would she sign a law abolishing the monarchy? I doubt it.

She would do more for the monarchy if she refused to sign any law which brought closer union with the EU, and publicised the reasons why.
She would win the gratitude of the majority of the British people and assert her true role in protecting our rights.

That's my opinion. What do you think?

THE RAPE OF WIGAN BY BIG BUSINESS AND PC

So Wigan Metro are proposing to build nearly 300 flats (sorry apartments) in the old Rylands Mill.

Where is the need for all these "apartments" which will be in addition to the massive building complex round Trencherfield Mill? What about the congestion of the town centre caused by all these extra people.
The planner Mr Dickman, make of that what you will says provision will be provided for parking for 55% of the residents and that should be adequate as the building is close to the town centre.

Does Mr Dick**** not realise everybody does not necessarily want to go to the centre of Wigan. Also if they have to travel to say Manchester the trains are already overcrowded with no prospect of improvement as stated in the press today.

I'll bet Mr Dickman has at least one car at his house and probably more, but he feels it OK to deprive others of that option.

In addition a new proposal was discussed at a public meeting in Kitt Green today. This is for new industrial building in the remaining Green Belt and surprise surprise more houses.
No doubt the meeting will be merely a sop to the community and be rubber stamped by the council.

Now I am all in favour of people having decent houses but when good council houses (with gardens tended by the Metro) are allocated to immigrants all over the area, while locals wait for accomodation, it seems that the quality of our town and people is of secondary importance to PC and big money. New cycle lanes will be created. That will do a lot of good for traffic flow.

Also with so many empty industrial units in the area and many "Brown Field" sites available the Kitt Green is another example of "The little people" ie us being ignored.

Big business and PC is at the back of this and not the interests of Wiganers.

Councillor Prescott's view that all this building will create jobs is correct, in the short term.
But is it worth destroying our town and what little open space we have for that.

If the council adopted the slogan "Wigan Jobs for Wigan Workers" perhaps the problem of house and job availability would be solved without destroying our town.
