UNIVERSITY CUTS

The news of cuts to university funding has predictably caused concern among students and staff at those universities with student sit ins etc.
I can understand their anger but have to ask whether many of these courses are worth funding in the current climate.
The cuts amount it is said to 1.6% of total funding.
Many firms can make these cuts by greater efficiency, but then they have to produce a product that consumers want to buy.

Many of the courses on offer are well known to be "Mickey Mouse" courses which achieve little in the job prospects of students and load them with huge debts.
These students have been betrayed into thinking that there is a vast market for Media studies, drama, psychology, ancient history etc and are disillusioned when they find no jobs available, meanwhile companies complain that they can not recruit enough scientists and engineers.

Nursing is now a degree course and while some nursing graduates are necessary many of these graduates fail in the TLC aspect of the job and are too proud to actually nurse.

I believe students in disciplines which are essential to our national survival should be totally funded by government while the "soft" subjects should be dropped.
This of course will not be done. Many top politicians did Politics, Philosophy and Economics"(PPE), a completely useless course. Politics is a matter of opinion and has no scientific basis. I've not yet found out what Philosophy REALLY is or what use it is in the real world and the economists are responsible for the country's woes.

Spending will have to be cut but it is essential that vital scientific courses should be funded to a greater extent.
With intelligent allocation of resources we could save money and improve education standards in "hard" subjects while ceasing to delude thousands of indebted students that a well paid job awaits them on graduation instead of flipping burgers which is all their "qualifications" will get them.

Oh, and stop foreign students taking so many places thus allowing more British students a chance.
But then universities are regarded not so much as educational establishments as private profit seeking enterprises which is the anithesis of what their real purpose should be.

Never mind, next time you see a Foreigner driving a nice big car and going to his nice big home, or taking that expensive exotic holiday, you can be proud of the fact that you have given them their jobs, homes and their wealth at you and your childrens expense.

Let's hope that when your Children are Starving and Homeless that the Foreigners take pity on them and offer them a crumb of comfort, rather than blow them to pieces.

RIGHTS OF TRIBAL AND INDIGENOUS PEOPLES

That this House welcomes the 20th anniversary of International Labour Organisation Convention 169 on Tribal and Indigenous Peoples, which recognises and respects the land rights of indigenous peoples; notes that protecting the land rights of indigenous peoples is the most effective way to protect the world's rainforests, crucial in the battle against climate change; further welcomes a memorandum submitted to the Environment Audit Committee by the Department for International Development and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs which recognises the importance of ensuring indigenous peoples' rights are respected in terms of ownership of the carbon asset; notes the Government's continued refusal to put these rights on a firm legal footing and ratify Convention 169, on the grounds that there are no indigenous peoples in the United Kingdom; further notes that this has not prevented either the Netherlands or Spain from joining the list of 20 countries, including Brazil, that have ratified the Convention; believes that protecting the rights of indigenous peoples is a matter of international concern; and calls on the Government to ratify Convention 169 without delay.

The Government regularly receives requests for additional bank holidays for a variety of reasons. The pattern of Bank Holidays is well established and accepted but we keep all of these suggestions under consideration.

Lord Goldsmith’s review of Citizenship published in February 2008, recommended considering the case for creating a national day focused on ideas about shared citizenship. The purpose of Lord Goldsmith’s review was to provoke a public debate on these issues. The Government will consider Lord Goldsmith’s recommendation in light of the ongoing debate. Your suggestion of a Bank Holiday to celebrate St George’s Day on 23 April has been one of the popular suggestions we have received. However, there are other very popular suggestions, including one for a new ‘British Day’ after Remembrance Sunday to celebrate the contribution of our Armed Forces.

So NO St Georges day Bank holiday for the English, as this would be discriminatory to those who are NOT ENGLISH. But we have these covered as New Labour are allowing Schools to close on Islamist celebration days such as Eid, Ramadan etc for the foreign followers of alien religions, but it's ok as the Christian kids will be forced to have the time off school. More time for them to immerse themselves in Islam and their own destruction.

I can't hear a thing through all the Noise the Christian leaders of this country are making over the demise of our Christian heritage, aided and abetted by the C of E (Cowards of England ?).

ENGLAND WILL PREVAIL

When I was a kid during WW2 times were hard for many people. Food was rationed and the standard of living was MUCH lower for everybody.
I was lucky as my dad was a doctor but if children had to live as we did now they would be considered very deprived.
Many people in the village were poor but I NEVER heard them say that they needed enrichment. More money or less arduous work perhaps but we were a tight knit community who did not look kindly on "immigrants" even from neighbouring towns.
We had no wish to be vibrant and diverse BUT we knew who our neighbours were and could leave our doors unlocked.
We were at ease with ourselves , had a community spirit and earned our keep.
Yes the standard of living has increased greatly but we have lost something, our sense of cohesion and community.

The increased affluence was not due to diversity it was due to our own efforts, in spite of the efforts of the wealthy and bankers to cream off more than their due and what they were worth.


We could have had the better standard of living without diversity and retained our identity and community spirit if we had been allowed.
In this so called democratic society we were never asked whether we wanted diversity or the draconian laws against free speech.
If we had been asked I know we would have replied WE DON'T WANT IT. You can have a homogenous society and still have a high standard of living as Japan and South Korea have. BUT WE WERE NEVER GIVEN THE OPTION.


Someday we will regain our land in spite of the internationalists. How I do not know BUT WE WILL.
It could be peaceful or bloody, it's up to them but our England WILL be ours someday.

DO THE POLICE ENCOURAGE VIOLENT UNREST ?

Undercover Police Officer admits to ENCOURAGING VIOLENCE and being part of a Violent Subversive 'Deep Infiltration Police Unit', aimed at causing Social and Racial unrest and orchestrated violence against the BNP and it's members.

An officer from a secretive unit of the Metropolitan police has given a chilling account of how he spent years working undercover among anti-racist groups in Britain, during which he routinely engaged in violence against members of the public and uniformed police officers to maintain his cover.

During his tour of duty, the man – known only as Officer A – also had sexual relations with at least two of his female targets as a way of obtaining intelligence. So convincing was he in his covert role that he quickly rose to become branch secretary of a leading anti-racist organisation that was believed to be a front for Labour's Militant tendency.
