Hmmm - apart from between the last ice age and the next one (and there WILL be one - it's aready overdue), i.e now, I don't believe there was a motor industry or a great deal of coal burning during the times referred to here. Or even much in the line of people, come to that (too many cows farting maybe?):
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/environment/climatechange/6606227/Antarctic-temperatures-between-ice-ages-6C-warmer-than-today.html
The case for man made global warming is getting shafted by the day.
And what just happened at the University of East Anglia, one of the leading centres pushing this nonsense? And how much in research funds has Phil Jones, the leading climate scientist received?
£13.7 million, that's how much. Of YOUR tax money. What was that about the energy industry funding people fighting against this fraud? £13.7 million - and that was just one man. I'd hate to see the numbers if we started looking into how much all of them have had. And our politicians have KNOWN it was all a fraud, but they saw it as a means by which they could levy more and more taxes. It's all about CONTROL - control of you - by them. And Gore has just announced that NOW is the best time to buy carbon credits ... by which ... errrm ... he and his companies stand to gain Billions.
Here's what happened at the UEA:

Standing Orders tell us there is a language warning for this site. Read and scroll, there are at least six items about the scandal coming out of UEA.

You going to give up on it now Chris? Or are you going to keep coming back like a Jehova's Witness? They've got a bit of religion in them too.
Or are you going to give me more and more excuses for bringing this sort of stuff to folks' attention? I've got more if you want ...

Hi Morg,
No mention in the article about the £13.7M that you claim Phil Jones has received (please supply your source for this amount), and who is this gentleman anyway?
Also the main point of the article seems to be one email supposedly sent 10 years ago. Talk about grasping at straws, this really does take the biscuit.
That email is reported as saying:
...................................
"I've just completed Mike's Nature [the science journal] trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie, from 1981 onwards) and from 1961 for Keith's to hide the decline."
..................................
Firstly we have no proof that this is indeed a real email sent by anyone at the centre, nor does it mention climate change at all. The phrase "to hide the decline" could be refereeing to anything (ie ice cover or pigeons in Greece) we simply don't know. But if theses were genuine email records going back over a decade, and there was a conspiracy, one would expect something more than a single 10 year old anonymous email to come to light, wouldn't we?
But let's consider the worst case scenario here, let's assume one team of scientist (10 years ago) did manipulate the data to support their own ideas. How would that discredit the thousands of other honest and trustworthy scientist, from all around the world, who over the last 10 years have produced genuine data and undertaken legitimate analyses that confirms Global Warming as a fact?
Lastly your links always seem to be to sensational news stories from the Newspapers* or to unscientific blogs of doubtful credibility. Want some real facts about Global Warming then you could visit the website of a real scientific institution: "National Snow and Ice Data Centre"

*I do accept the Telegraph is slightly more respectable than many of the other scandal rags.
Hi again Morg,
I've just found Phil Jones (actually it's Professor Phil Jones; FRI, Ph.D, MSc BA) and he does seem to be a real expert in the field of Climatology. SO WHY NOT LISTEN TO HIM MORG!
Oh! C'mon you two!
2012 is the year!
"The prophecies revealed in this book explain the demise of the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, and much of western Europe, which will be followed by man's final world war. This last war will be the result of clashing religions and the governments they sway. Billions will die! The destruction of this time will far exceed the very worst times of all human history."

Follow the links, read them properly, and the sourceis there.

http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Ah4XLQCleuUYdFIxMnhMNnlXb2JQcDZUendjUXpWWUE&hl=en
A spreadsheet listing all the grants he's had to research climate change, and where they came from.
When I read a blog I read it properly, follow all links, scroll when I'm told to.
The scam is dead - the body just hasn't stopped twitching yet.
And you can make all the ah buts you want. it is over.
Phil Jones is Dr. Phil Jones, lones at the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia.
You asking me that tells me how you read the links:
You skimmed them until you noticed something to argue with, then moved on. That name is mentioned all over the place - it's also on all the outgoing emails. So if you'd really read properly, you wouldn't have to ask that.
That's the last time I'm taking you to info I've already provided.
WHY NOT LISTEN TO HIM you say. Because he's a bloody LIAR on a grand scale perpetrating a fraud. That's why not.
Gary - that's the sort of thing Chris is likely to believe, not me :)
I've seen that film too - CGI being used in place of plot and decent acting. So many of Hollywood's films do that these days.
Morg,
I know!
I think you know my own stance on the "climate change" issue.
I still mix paper with tin cans and glass bottles in my rubbish bin!
And sometimes I even forget to turn my computer monitor off!
What a rebel!
p.s.
I don't even feel guilty with my continuous bodily functions after I've had fish, chips and mushy peas!
Hi Morg,
You said:
" Phil Jones, the leading climate scientist received? £13.7 million, that's how much. Of YOUR tax money. What was that about the energy industry funding people fighting against this fraud"
I say:
NO! I've checked out the link you gave (and downloaded the spreadsheet) and that £13.7m figure is a total for all projects that Prof Jones has been involved with since 1993 (ie over 16 years). Of that £13.7m, over £11.36m came US sources (that is not from our tax money at all) from all, of the remaining £2.36m most came from EU departments, and of those Prof Jones was not always the leader of the research group. Although of course in many (as you would expect given his expertise) he was.
Good science and research costs money, and when that research needs to commission data from satellites that costs even more. All this expenditure is in the public domain, now how much have the Oil Companies and Arab Sheiks spent over the last 16 years protecting their billion dollar incomes: $100m; $200m, $500m we don't know because unlike expenditure on real science that money remains hidden.
Finally please stop referring me to unaccredited blogs, if you think you have any real evidence (published by respected accredited sources) let me see it.

One last point Morg,
Many of those projects don't (at least from the brief descriptions given) appear to be directly related to climate change at all. Although of course (given he is a climatologists) they are all weather related in someway.

He's still a lying scheming toad - and I don't want him to have ANY public money.
Look, you can dig around for any little niggles you can find, but the jig is still up. It's over - get used to it.
Hi Morg,
You said:
"He's still a lying scheming toad - and I don't want him to have ANY public money."
I say:
OK produce the evidence to justify that statement, because until you do his reputation appears to be exemplary (quite simply a fine man of science).

Chris - the gig's up. You'll be a lot happier if you just walk away from it.
This is going to be big news for a long time. May even lead to court cases.
Can this be the last word please?
The evidence is in the 67Mb of leaked (not hacked) emails and articles.
No point arguing with you Chris - it's not that you can't see it - you wont.
Hi Morg,
It isn't me that can't or won't see the obvious, it's you. At every point in this thread I have answered the arguments that you have put up in an attempt to discredit good science with. But without fail you have ignored my responses and simply repeated the same old propaganda produced, for you, by groups with only their own greedy interests at heart.
Six bridges in Cumbria have this weekend been swept away by the highest rain fall ever recorded in the British Isles. This summer we saw the Northeast Passage open to commercial shipping for the first time in history. And the list simply goes on and on. And theses are the type of weather conditions scientists have been telling us will occur far more often as the earth warms. Coincidence? I think not!
What isn't working Morg is your idea that using unaccredited blogs (published in the large part by anonymous authors) will convince most people. 10 year old ambiguous unaccredited emails that claim to prove a conspiracy, but in reality show nothing of the sort, are simply not evidence. While the results produced by thousands of dedicated scientist, working in many different organisations from all around the world, are!
Morg please if you have on accredited site that denies Climate Change is now an established fact, link me to it, otherwise accept the truth.

You have answered precisely nothing.
Just like someone spouting religious dogma. Go away.
