LAST NIGHT'S MEETING

Last night we attended a meeting at our venue in Hindley Green organised not by me but by other patriots in order to discuss our future strategy for nationalism.
The meeting was by invitation only in order that we could have a civilised discusion of the problems we face as a party and country.

It was NOT as has been suggested an anti party meeting but an opportunity to discuss between fellow nationalists ways to further our cause.
However if the party hierarchy had heard about the meeting it would have been "proscribed" ie members would have been forbidden to attend on pain of discipliniary action.
I and my wife have received summonses to attend disciplinary hearings for attending "proscribed" meetings in the past. Of course we have no intention as free people of submitting ourselves to such kangaroo courts which are reminiscent of Stalinist Russia.

The cause of this party turmoil are twofold.

First it is no good denying that recently we have not made the electoral impression we should have done in spite of the shambles caused by the coalition government and their economocally illiterate opposition.
The Front National in France has done so much better than we and we must ask Why?

Secondly in our party too much power rests with the chairman and his sycophantic and undemocratic Advisory Council, and dissent among party members is barely tolerated and searching questions result in the questioner being suspended.

What to do about these problems were the topics for debate last night.
Most, but not all stated that we need a new leader as in spite of all the good work he has done in the past is becoming a drag on our electoral prospects.

The way forward is not at present clear but similar meetings are being held all over the country in an attempt to arrive at a consensus on future action and build contacts between like minded patriots.

Last night we had senior party members from London Kent and Yorkshire as well as from all over South Lancashire and I thank them for making the effort.
It was also good to renew old aquaintances with people we had not met for several years.
It shows their committment to our cause and country.

Our meetings are intended to be constructive and form a basis for a leaner and more effective and democratic nationalist movement.

Lest the above seems a council of despair I have to say that nothing could be further from the truth.
There is an increasing hunger for our point of view, a hunger for a believable party or vehicle in which the will of the ordinary British people can be expressed and persued.
Recently we have not been capitalising on that hunger but there is a rich seam of nationalism waiting to be tapped. It is our job to mine this seam and we are determined not to be found wanting. But now we must set the systems in motion to do it even if it requires a new management, but whatever it takes we will endeavour to do it.

Opponents of nationalism and the British people, do not be deceived by our temporary regrouping.
There will be changes and maybe different personnel at the top but we will emerge rejuvenated and ready to tap into that portion of our people who have been betrayed, have no voice and who are increasingly desparate for true representation.

In Tunisia, Egypt, Libya etc it seemed things would never change as democracy was as here suppressed but as the last weeks have shown matters can change quickly when the people are given their voice.

It is our job to provide that voice AND THAT WE WILL DO.

I say:
"Yes but you have known this for years. Back in August 2008 I was barred (at the gate) from the EGM because of: "my violent behaviour at the RWB in 2007". A totally lubricious accusation because; I did not attend the RWB in 2007!"

Griffin, and his cronies, have taken over a once booming party and turned it into the NG Fan-club. Members who originally supported the Dec 2007 attempt to democratise the party, but then backed down, must bare their full share of responsibility for the current atrocious sate of the party.

Nick Griffin is a petty minded dictator, the truth is simply that straight forward!

I would certainly hazard a guess that the comment above has been submitted by our nearby nemesis Mr Chris Hill....." He quotes: "Members who originally supported the Dec 2007 attempt to democratise the party, but then backed down, must bare their full share of responsibility for the current atrocious sate of the party."....... Obviously, you are insinuating me and the others who use to sit around that beautiful kitchen (as you did too) table expressing our indignation and disdain at the current political state of our parties affairs and helping to draft that letter we sent to the chairman at that time, expressing our concerns.....Well, apart from you Chris (who ran off to UKIP) and pooh poohed our every move from there on in, we all stuck at it and we then raised this party to new heights - certainly in the Wigan and Leigh area since the last major internal dispute of 2007 you so speak of. We stood BNP candidates in 19 wards just last year and in all three general election constituencies and gaining over 6% of the vote thus saving our deposits and culminating in excess of 10,000 BNP votes across the board.
We have firmly put nationalism on the map. And I stick by my loyalty through those times to our chairman regardless.
Only now do I personally think "enough is enough." I have seen and heard enough for me to decide such!
I resent your accusation that "we" should shoulder some of the blame....in fact you should be applauding us for our continuing efforts in getting our nationalist message across out there in our locality...unlike others hey Chris!

But unwittingly you have made two good points there. Firstly under Griffin the party has lumbered from one crises to the next, losing many good members on each occasion. And all these crises (Yes all of them) have been, either directly or indirectly, down to either Griffin's incompetent man management style or his financial skulduggery.

Wigan has indeed bucked the national trend, due solely to an excellent organiser (Charles) and a few dedicated activists. And many other groups over the last eleven years have also had such success, but ask yourself: “where are they now?”. Griffin systematically destroys them, that's where they are, scattered to the four winds by Griffins madness. How long will Charles remain the Wigan organiser now he has dared to stand up and be counted?

One last point: I did not run off and join UKIP after the 2007 attempt to democratise the party, in fact I stayed on as a grass roots member for a further 2 years. I even offered my services back in January 2008 as local organiser (a position I said I would not use to promote the VofC group), an offer that was not even acknowledged by Griffin (the then NW regional organiser). I have also received an abusive email from Clive Jefferson (using a BNP.org email account), and my complaint (sent by registered mail) about being denied entry to the EGM in 2008 was also not even acknowledged by Griffin.

Yes that's right, but surely nobody (worth their salt) agrees with every policy of any political party. But at least in UKIP your not expelled for disagreeing or speaking out.

Chris,

I will not fall into the usual trap and continue the boring to-and-fro broken biscuits bollocks with you - I will leave it at that if you don't mind!

Have a great active political career!

Sorry Chris, but, I've just GOT to replicate this little gem from our great friends over at The British Resistance:

UKIP Terms & Conditions of Membership

Membership shall start from the date of receipt of the initial membership subscription and continue for the number of years for which the subscription has been paid.

Membership subscriptions are not normally refundable.

Members shall be considered to be fully paid-up until the end of the month of expiry. Membership shall be considered to have lapsed if not renewed within a further two months.

The Party may refuse or rescind an application for membership if the National Executive Committee considers that the application does not fulfil the criteria for membership as set out in the Party Constitution.

The Party Secretary has the right to suspend or expel members who clearly bring the Party into disrepute by association with or membership of an organisation, membership of which the NEC has declared to be incompatible with membership of the Party.

Membership is not available to anyone who is or has previously been a member of the British National Party or the UK First party. Any applications made from people who are or have been members of these organisations will be refused, and any subscriptions collected will be refunded. By applying for membership you certify that you are not and have never been a member of either of these parties.

Any action under paragraph 5 shall be confirmed by the NEC at the earliest opportunity.

Regards, Steve.

Dear LLN (12:20 hrs),

That is indeed very disturbing. I have to say that I was not asked myself about any previous party memberships when I joined UKIP 15 months ago. And I have to say that since joining the party I have had nothing but the warmest welcome from both party officials and the grass-roots members I have met. In fact I was asked (and accepted) the position of Chairman for the North Lancashire Branch, and it was certainly no secret that I had stood for the BNP, as council candidate, on 4 occasions.

On first reading your post I was inclined to return my membership card in disgust. But (after some consideration) given that this rule is obviously not enforced, and is certainly not representative of the views of the vast majority of UKIP members, I think I can best serve democracy by showing this rule up to be stupid (not to say undemocratic). By staying with UKIP, I hope to prove to its small number of doubters that: most Ex BNP members are decent citizens who simply chose to exercise their right to join a perfectly legal political party which, at the time, seemed to offer the British people a chance to overturn the madness of other parties. The fact that it (the BNP)has been shanghaied by a madman should be totally irrelevant.
