Figures from the Office for National Statistics indicated 42.4 per cent of all pregnancies to women under the age of 20 ended in a legal abortion in 2008. This compares with 37.8 per cent a decade ago.
Experts said that though some progress had been made in halting Britain's alarming rate of teen pregnancies, abortion was increasingly seen as the major method of contraception for many young women.

We are supposed to be unable to replace our AGED POPULATION with INDIGENOUS YOUNGSTERS yet we are always told we have the HIGHEST TEENAGE PREGNANCIES IN EUROPE.
It seems we are not being allowed to replace ourselves, which we obviously can, the TRAITORS allow the MURDER OF THE (mainly Indigenous) UNBORN.
THIS SICKENS ME - IF THE NAZIS HAD BEEN TERMINATING UNBORN CHILDREN ON THIS SCALE THROUGH ABORTION IT WOULD NOW BE CATEGORISED AS A WAR CRIME.
The leaders of this country have created this through creating LAWS to allow it, what does that say about them and us that we accept ABORTION as the NORM ?

4 the £10,ooo wedding is a farse, people wake up, provide and shelter your own, get into the REAL WORLD.
In an age where personal freedom is king/queen (so long as it doesn't offend the new neighbours), it is difficult to demand those that get pregnant to keep the conception...
Now, this doesn't mean we have to pay via our NHS contributions for the abortions.
But again, how do we persuade women to keep babies they do not want?
It used to be scorn if we're honest. And again, in today's world, you cannot offend the new neighbours so there goes scorn out of the window.
Financial incentives perhaps? It works for the lower sections of society... although one only has to look around to envision the outcome (the feral and the feckless).
An observation of mine is that when women went to compete (not just take part) in the workplace, that is when the birth rate dropped. Money and independence or dirty nappies and dependence, not much of an enticement.
So, as fascist as this sounds, the ever greater independence given to us as individuals might be detrimental to our family life.
No way would I be advocating taking that away though, I'm not Stalin Jr, I'm Jack Jr, more of an autocrat than a fascist.
The Church failed. The State failed. Ergo, we (the royal one) failed.
And perhaps the biggest problem was the downgrading of morals.
To me, we will continue to fail due to our humanity's obsession with individual perfection.
Apologies for the cryptic waffle, abortion is one taboo subject, as it has always been, and a highly emotional one too.
The most important thing is funding these lifestyle choice abortions. If by good conscience we cannot condone such a practice, surely we should be entitled not to forced to finance it?
And if we do have to finance it, surely strings can be attached where a contraceptive is fitted (excuse the pun)?
Then again, asking the State to do such a thing would be giving the green light for mass sterilisations. Now that's a scary thought.
One difficult subject to contemplate this... already been pondering this since yesterday.
