An argument if ever I saw one for bringing back National Service.

Although (sadly due to medical reasons) I was unable to join the RAF, I spent a fair few years in the ATC. I joined when I could, at 13, and left at 18.

When my "friends" were getting drunk on cheap cider on street corners, I was learning to fly aircraft, and target shoot - skills which I activly use as hobbies to this day. Further to this, I was taught about strict discipline (which I thought I'd learned about from my parents, but obviously not to the same level which the Forces required!!)

I was never pushed into joining the ATC, but wanted to as I wanted to join the Armed Forces in defence of our country just as both of my grandfather's had done during WW2.

But unfortunately, I doubt much of today's youth wants to do so, given the negativity our troops (some of whom include my friends who I was in the Cadets with who were fortunate enough (and I stick by that remark, given it was my dream to sign-up for a vast part of my life) to pass all the relevant medicals) receive, and the general lack of national pride.

We need to re-instate this national pride, the element that put the "Great" into Britain. The Bulldog spirit.

But in a country where you have to consider your work-mate's race/background/religious beliefs before you can greet them with a heart-felt "Merry Christmas" - is it going to happen?

And they wonder why there's so many "yoof's" wearing tags with ASBO's round their necks wondering the streets...

When I was at University, I was shown a research paper about a town over in the USA. Unfortunatley, I can't remember it's name off the top of my head (I'd appreciate it if somebody could?)

But basically, the Mayor passed a law whereby the head of each household "must" own a gun of some descript. The crime-rate from that point forwards was 0%. Yep, diddly-squat.

I am concious that this is quite a long response.

But I have quite a bit to get off my chest given the so-called "PC" world in which we live, whereby ones comments about ones love for his country are classed as racist and defamatory, and are hence deleted off various newspapers' comments pages.

Given how the afore mentioned newspaper comment-deleters do not tolerate racism or descrimination, I was wondering if any readers on here could let me know when, given that we've had the MOBO Awards (the Music of Black Origin Awards) the next Music of White Origin awards will be held?

And when will the next Association of White Police Officer's Meeting be held?

Ooohh, sorry, i shouldn't have raised the last two points, because that's racist...

Need I say more?

Ahhh, that name brings back many fond memories. And do try crows - they recognise a gun when they see one approaching, so it takes a bit of skill to sneak up on the bla... never mind.

And as for deleted comments in the media? That's nothing - wait until the Guardian (that bastion of free speech if we agree with you 'cos you toe the party line) bans you FIVE times over a couple of years ... beam beam.

Pigeonshooter,

YOU say,

" But I have quite a bit to get off my chest given the so-called "PC" world in which we live, whereby ones comments about ones love for his country are classed as racist and defamatory, and are hence deleted off various newspapers' " comments pages.

That why, we have this Blog and our BNP meetings, it is ok, to speak your mind on here and at our meets.

NO ONE SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO SAY THEY ARE BRITISH AND PROUD!!
