I'm getting many messages by phone and e mail with the details of the organiser (Mr Stephen Hall) of the thuggish action against our private function in Leigh which forced us to cancel it and hold it elsewhere.
He prides himself that we were hammered and "driven out of Leigh" Not much democracy there then.
His supporters he claims came from all over including Socialist worker Party members. I've never seen a socialist do much work. I bet you are not working Comrade Hall.
What right do they think they have to prevent many Leythers from going to a political event in their town? Many he says were students. It is surely the purpose of students to learn hence the name. They are not there to advise. I don't know what he thought they learnt in Leigh apart that violence is an acceptable way to settle political differences. IT IS NOT!
I could have understood if we had been proposing a political rally but this was a private ticket only event.
If he considers this action right he would therefore have no problems with we who disagree with him disrupting his events.
His election literature did not inspire many people. He claims to have been"indefatigable" (isn't that the word your friend Galloway used?)in leading strikes in several industries for better conditions.
Did he succeed? Did he hell.
His efforts to save the mining industry were a signal failure, unfortunately as I mourn the demise of that great industry.
We now have no pits in Lancashire partly due to his intransigence and the anti union policies of Thatcher.
It was obvious they could not win but that was not what they wanted, they wanted to bring the country down as all their actions have shown since.
People have seen this and this was reflected in his derisory vote when representing a party dedicated to promoting foreign workers and customs at the expense of the local workers.
Leigh has no time for fascist thugs such as Mr Hall and that is why I have been getting so much information about him from people in Leigh.
But don't worry Comrade we dont use your fascist tactics of violence so you don't need a police presence to protect your family (diddums are you frightened), but we will remember you and your imported thugs (funny how the only people injured were our members when you were so peaceful).
We believe you and your ilk are agents of this increasingly fascist state intent on destroying our country, but people are seeing the light, and we will WIN,in spite of you! or even because of you.

The danger for the BNP is that it gets thoroughly infiltrated, manipulated, and used, by the security services to advance their agenda?
UKIP often seems to promote the interests of the Pentagon and Israel.
Hi Charles,
At last a point I can disagree with (reading your blog was beginning to make me feel feel like a yes man).
You said:

I say:
Sorry Charles I simply can't agree. These people have no right at all to us violence and intimidation to disrupt any event, political or otherwise.

I'm back to feeling like a yes man again.
Keep well.

We know the security forces try to infiltrate the BNP.
We are on our guard pehaps at times too much so but suspicion is necessary in these times.
We will never promote the security forces agenda. Why? Because our aims are stated and not liable to change.
Our view could in the future co incide with that of the security forces but that will be when, and only when their agenda coincides with ours.
We know UKIP is a government tool to derail the BNP.
I'll do a blog on that tonight.
Chris I know what you are saying and I take your point.
I was looking at it from the police point of view that they had to contain the possibliity of violence and that is why they COULD have had problems with our meeting.
I agree there would have been no justification for it but I was just trying to see it through the eyes of an impartial cop (are there any?).
Hi Charles,
You said:
'impartial cop (are there any?).'
I say:
Yes! The vast majority in fact are impartial, it's just that they don't get to rise through the ranks. Inspectors and above seem to be promoted because of their politically correct attitude (ie Brownie pointers), not on their ability to serve the public.

Chris, surely you mean "brown nosers".
Hi Charles,
Let's agree that unfortunately police officers need to be more adept at boot-licking, than protecting the public, if they want advancement in the police force theses days.
But I also think that the ordinary bobby on the beat deserves our respect more than ever these days, simply because they have to put up with these boot-lickers. Imagine how frustrating it must (when you're trying to serve the public), to have superiors only interested in how many Brownie points you've help them win with their political masters.
