MEMBER'S DEATH

It is with great sadness that I have to report the untimely death of one of our stalwart members Mr Thomas Smith.
Tom had been a member for several years and was a regular attender at our meetings. We appreciated his quiet humour and support, (although we envied his ability to seemingly always win the raffle).
We knew he had not been well earlier in the year but he came to a meeting about 3 months ago and seemed recovered and we certainly did not expect his death.
Our condolences go out to his family.
The funeral is at Wigan Crematorium next Thursday at 1.30 pm.

I was so sorry to hear of the death of one of your members. Death is of course part of life, but it's still very sad when the inevitable happens.

The contrast between people like this gentleman who turn up to meetings knowing that they don’t have long to live (but are still willing to give some of the precious time they have left to save our nation), and people who say things like ‘what do I care I’ll be dead by then’ is clear. Some people care about the future of our nation, and our people, some people live only for today. This man was obviously a real gentleman and a sad loss to the party and our country, but he should also be our inspiration!

Chris Hill.
