Ethics

Common knowledge?

Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 600 employees and has the following employee statistics:

* 29 have been accused of spouse abuse

* 7 have been arrested for fraud

* 9 have been accused of writing bad cheques

* 17 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses

* 3 have done time for assault

* 71 cannot get a credit card

* 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

* 8 have been arrested for shop-lifting

* 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits

* 84 have been arrested for drink driving in the last year

Which organisation is this?

It's the 635 members of the House of Commons, the same group that cranks out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

Could you list a source for these claims?

Here's a few to be going on with (I can't be bothered looking up the bios for every single MP) ... and of course - we could always go back a bit and dig out people like Joe Ashton, Archer, Aitken et al.

And every single MP is responsible for the ongoing illegal war in Iraq, then there were all those responsible for the illegal Kosovo operation. I say they are ALL responsible because they either voted in favour of these, or they failed to resign after the votes in favour.

You might find this place interesting too - every level from councillor through party officials, MPs and Euro MEPs:

And is there anyone - seriously, anyone - who does not consider both Blair and Brown to be outright liars?

Our entire Parliament is held in nothing but contempt by the overwhelming majority of the population of this country. What profession is held in lower esteem than MPs? Pimps, perhaps?

I've been to your blog - I find it hard to believe you think well of these people.
