IMPRESSIONS OF CYPRUS

If my absence from contributions to this blog has been noticed it has been because of our having taken two weeks holiday in Cyprus.
Yes I know we went 3 months ago, for the first time and really enjoyed it so we decided to go again.

On our second day we went on an off road safari through the Trudos Mountains with a Cypriot driver in a Land Rover.
Our first stop was at a resevoir which to my surprise was three quarters full in spite of there being no rain on the island for 6 months. I mentioned to the driver my surprise at the quantity of water available bearing in mind that all crops in summer must be irrigated.
His reply? I don't know what's wrong with your country, 3 weeks without rain and you have a hosepipe ban and I had to admit neither did I.

Sitting in the front of the Land Rover with him he told us how he had been driven out of his home in Northern Cyprus by the Turkish army and his father was among the hundreds killed.
The Christians had been driven from their homes and their homes taken by 300,000 Turks who "previously had lived in caves" (his words)
We drove through a village which looked a bit different which he said was populated by people who hoped their occupancy would be temporary and that they would be able to return to the North, a folorn hope I think.
And after all the Turkish aggression our politicians wish to have Turkey , a country in which the army and muslims battle for control admitted to the EU.

I was struck by the infrastructure and general prosperity and asked the reason. He told me that the only exports were cement to Saudi Arabia and potatoes etc to Britain. The main industry was tourism but people gained no benefits if they were capable of work and refused to do so, so everybody found jobs.
The villages were clean and graffiti free but the thing that struck me most was the absence of non Europeans. There was a problem he said, with illegal immigrants coming through the border from North Cyprus having crossed Turkey and crime was increasing as a result he said, but I saw no evidence of non Europeans there.
He distinguished strongly between illegals and legals. The former he complained about but the latter he accepted as they came to contribute and not to suck the society dry.

Of course Cyprus has not our population density so perhaps he could afford not to worry especially as the legals were European.
I never saw a police car or policeman for that matter and felt safe wherever I went, unlike the feeling I get in some of the more diverse parts of our country.
Yes they have the weather but little water and few natural resources apart from the sun but they have made the most of what they have without the help of non Europeans, and we were sorry to have to finish our holiday.

A final point. In our Land Rover was a woman who had been born in Cyprus in the RAF base but was from Yorkshire which goes to show that it is not where you are born which dictates your nationality but the stock from which you stem and confirms that "if a dog is born in a stable it is not a horse".
It's ironic that on returning to Manchester Airport in my own country I saw more third worlders in 5 minutes than I did in 2 weeks in Cyprus.

To once again quote Enoch Powell "when the Gods wish to destroy a people they first make them mad".
My return to my country seemed to confirm that we or those controlling the country must indeed be mad OR TRAITORS

A SHAGGY DOG STORY?

In the news today I see that ACPO the private company run Association of Chief Police Officers are taking a tough line on a new minority group, namely the "dogging community", and no I'm not referring to dog owners.

This deserving group, (the doggers not the police) have it seems been subject to "hate crimes" on account of their indulging in their pastime of having sex in public places,toilets, fields, car parks and even on private land.
Now police have been ordered to treat verbal abuse of these fun loving people a hate crime as it causes them to have post traumatic stress for up to 5 years whereas victims of non hate crimes (I suppose that means robbery etc) recover in 2 years.


Members of these "communities" (yes we now have a dogging community as well as all the other persecuted minority groups) have the right not to be insulted or ridiculed even if they are breaking the law which they are but the "hate" element of the offensive words it seems trumps their offences as it does most other crimes.

And no I am not a killjoy and have had my moments in the back of a car but to have sexual relations publicly in a park in front of others who may not wish to view the spectacle is in my opinion going too far.
The police are saying that these "doggers" have rights but so do the unfortunate members of the public who inadvertently witness their passion for alfresco sex.

The inclusion of private land in the advice presumably means that if you find them hard at it (no pun intended) in your front garden you must mind your language in asking them to leave or you will be arrested for your "hate" leaving them undisturbed to carry on enjoying themselves but definitely not at your pleasure.

At least in these times of cuts it's nice to know that police resources are used to the best advantage in combatting crime, while allowing doggers to continue servicing each other even if it is in your garden.

Is this why they now call themselves "The Police Service"?

WHAT SORT OF COUNTRY IS THIS ?

Word has reached Big Brother Watch of a new paid-to-snoop service which will allow members of he public to monitor CCTV cameras from their own home and alert business owners to shoplifting and anti-social behaviour. Upon alerting business owners to a crime taking place, a text message will be sent to the business owner alerting the of the alleged crime.

With a quarterly membership fee of £12.99, members of the 'Internet Eyes' scheme will be offered to chance to accumulate points in order to obtain cash prizes and awards. Users will receive three points for alerting businesses “to an act they believe may be theft or represent other unlawful or anti-social behaviour” and two for “acting in good faith” in flagging up a supposed ‘incident’ even when “no theft or other unlawful or anti-social behaviour occurred”.

Regardless of whether or not the user identifies any crimes taking place, Internet Eyes will award cash payments to the most prodigious of users. Those using the website for an average of an hour a day will receive a payment of 50 pence per month rising to £1.50 for those online for sixty hours or more.

While Big Brother Watch does not oppose the use of CCTV surveillance in sensitive areas such as airports and ferry terminals, it’s astonishing to think that innocent people out doing their shopping could soon be spied on by an army of busy bodies with an internet connection.

Big Brother Watch has requested a full list of those businesses currently operating the scheme.

PAKISTANI POLITICIANS AT WORK IN BRITAIN...WHY ?

In Sept this year a Pakistani politician Imran Farooq was murdered in London outside his home.

"Imran Farooq, a senior member of the MQM party who has been in London since 1999, was attacked in Green Lane, Edgware, on Thursday evening."

Now I have to ask WHY does a Pakistani Politician have a home in England?
What purpose does it serve for him or Pakistan by living here ?

We also have the ex-military leader Pervez Musharraf creating a new political party in London called the Pakistani Muslim League.

"Former Pakistan military ruler Pervez Musharraf has apologised for "negative" actions he took while in power, as he launched his new political party, the All Pakistan Muslim League, in London."

Why are foreign nationals able to create and run political parties in Pakistan from London ?
Have we given our country away to Pakistan ?
Why do they come here to set up and run their political agencies.

Don't you think they would be better served living in Pakistan ?
Or is the truth that they are running their political parties in Britain for and By Pakistani nationals in our Parliament and running our Councils?

Why are Foreign nationals allowed to stand for election in Britain ?
Our Bill of Rights has outlawed any foreign national from standing for election in a British Parliament and ruling over the Indigenous population.

The BILL OF RIGHTS are our INALIANABLE RIGHTS and cannot be removed.

DO ISLAMISTS HAVE A DIRTY BOMB ?

PURULIA: A criminal with alleged links to gangs across the country and even Afghanistan was nabbed in Purulia with nearly 1 kg of uranium on Sunday. The market value of the radioactive element is said to be about $7 million.

When police raided Ishtaq Ahmed's house at Dubra village in the Maoist-dominated Para area after a tip-off, they found a box with 'URM, Made in USA' stamped on it. An automatic revolver, a pipegun and 21 rounds of ammunition were also discovered during the search. Ahmed was arrested and a case filed at Para police station mentioning uranium seizure.

Police haven't opened the sealed box as the substance inside could be dangerously radioactive. It is being sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory for tests.

If Islamists can get hold of Uranium, could they already have "DIRTY BOMBS" or are they making more ?
