The UK Government pledged support for the poorest people in Asia and the Pacific with an increase in funding for the region’s development bank.

Mike Foster, Development Minister, announced that the UK - through its Department for International Development (DFID) - will purchase the full UK allocation of new shares in the Asian Development Bank, following Parliamentary approval.

The money raised by the Asian Development Bank will be used to fund schemes such as helping people in Bangladesh to adapt to the effects of climate change by supporting cleaner energy initiatives and opening up mobile phone access in Afghanistan to improve opportunities for trade and business in the region.

Although the Asia-Pacific region has achieved rapid economic growth over the past few years, about 900 million people still live on less than $1.25 a day. Asia was particularly badly hit by the global financial recession, and in some countries the excellent progress made over the last decade has been reversed. Many still lag behind in key areas like education and health. ...

ANDY BURNHAM'S PROTECTION RACKET.

If you live in the Leigh constituency, then this might be of particular interest to you. But if you live elsewhere in the Wigan borough and thus have a NewLayabout M.P. then it is also of interest because it shows how low that party will sink in order to hang onto power and all the personal goodies this can bring if you don't mind stealing from the public.

Actually, it probably doesn't quite show how low that appalling party can sink to because there's a few weeks of campaigning still to go. How much will you bet that this disgraceful crew can sink a lot lower before the election is over?


The row erupted after Labour sent cancer patients mailshots saying that their lives may be at risk under a Conservative government.

Andrew Lansley, the Shadow Health Secretary, said: “It is shameful that the Labour Party, knowing that we are the only party that is going to increase investment in the NHS, have decided to deliberately scare patients and misrepresent what we have said.

“I’m actually rather shocked that they are trying to target breast cancer patients and alarm them by making up stories about what the Conservative Party would do. 

“I think Andy Burnham, the Health Secretary, should write to every woman Labour sent these cards to apologise and withdraw these claims.”

"A wealthy associate of Peter Mandelson who has poured money into Labour causes is the target of a stepped-up international bribery investigation, the Guardian can disclose.

According to legal sources, Victor Dahdaleh, a London-based aluminium trader, has had his Belgravia premises searched by the Serious Fraud Office, and offshore bank accounts linked to him are being examined in the Isle of Man and Channel Islands. He is also under criminal investigation by the US department of justice."

A GROWING PRESENCE

Our strength is growing locally in spite of and probably because of the hammer wielding antics of the UAF Searchlight thugs.
It seems from today's WEP that we have created a stir.
Our increased support is well known to me as I take all the enquiries and we have built on this to create a party with great potential for growth.

We have been helped by the incompetent thieving government and opposition parties who in their arrogance think they know better than the ordinary person whose life is being devalued.

However it is not easy for us as we have to face daily the bile and hatred spewed by the internationalist globalist press and the violence by the state sponsored thugs of the UAF and Searchlight.
These latter organisations not only deny us the right to free speech but violently try to disrupt even our non political gatherings.

Fortunately people are now realising the distortions of the media and are turning to us.

Strange that. Most of our members are ex Labour voters.

THEY JUST DON'T GET IT.

They still don't get it do they?, or do they?

After nearly a week campaigning the three "big" parties have not touched on any issues important to the people of Britain.
The Tories have promised to reverse some of the proposed increase in National Insurance and an endless debate continues how to save the supposed few billions this would cost.
I don't like to say it but I agree with the Tories.
National Insurance is a tax on jobs and in my opinion should be reduced much further giving money to businesses and workers rather than having it squandered by the government.

How to pay for it? Easy, come out of Afganistan and stop foreign aid some of which goes to China.
No mention of these options and we have not touched on waste such as the £ 40,000 to be spent on discipline at Hawkley Hall school.
A cane would sort this out at no cost.
Or the 5 a day fruit and veg coordinators who have been shown to have had no effect on the consumption of vegetables and fruit, and the multitude of non jobs we currently support with our taxes and council taxes.
Why do these parties not speak about these things.

The latest Tory idea is to give married couples £3 per week as an encouragement.
I believe in marriage but can they not think of things more important or relevant to our people?

Immigrants taking most of the new jobs,
Young people unable to get jobs,
Our soldiers being killed in an illegal war,
Industries closed and relocated abroad,
Housing going to immigrants rather to people who BELONG here and whose families have paid taxes all their lives.
No go areas in our towns where English people fear to go.
Crowded streets and inadequate infrastructure because of increased numbers of people.
Our children's education suffering because of an influx of foreign children who do not speak English and often bring diseases like TB with them

I could go all night but none of these issues have been discussed, instead they waffle on about a billion here and a billion there.

For God's sake we as a country owe more than a TRILLION pounds, and nobody mentions that.

I think this silence is because they have no answers to the problems because whatever they say they caused them.

The BNP has the answers, Come out of Afganistan, stop foreign aid and leave the EU.

SORTED Most of the budget would be paid and that is before we have started on waste.
