NICK'S VISIT TO ORRELL?

At a party last Sunday I was informed that Nick Griffin had attended a service in Orrell at the invitation of Wigan Metro.
Knowing nothing of it I assumed it was a case of "false identity" and it still may be as I have not had it confirmed.

However today I was contacted by the press to ask for my comments on Nick's attendance and the usual shrieks of fury from the hammer wielding, state funded "Wigan Against Racism"group of misfits.
I have replied by e mail with my comments and will see how much is published.
I will put the full unexpurgated letter on the blog in a few days after I have seen whether my letter has been edited.

If the story is true I can not resist this anthem, beginning with "And did those feet"etc

THE NORTHERN IRELAND PEACE DIVIDEND

Why are these riots taking place in Northern Ireland?. It doesn't say much for Tony Blair's "Peace Process"
Yes they are against Protestant traditional celebrations of a battle fought long ago but this mayhem is not necessary.
It is said that these processions are provocative. Why? Everybody is happy to celebrate St Patricks day. Is that provocative. Neither tradition provokes me.
What does provoke me is muslims marching in MY country and demanding preferential treatment. I am provoked by even having to look at their medieval garb.
The two sides in this never ending feud are in effect brothers separated by minor differences in politics and religion.
Whether a person is Protestant or Catholic pales into insignificance beside the threat to both communities, i e islam.
I have friends both Catholic and Protestant and more that I do not know what their faith is, nor do I care. We are all of the same stock, only separated by ancient historical events.
All people love their traditions and I enjoy seeing both sides proclaiming their identities, but they are both Christian identities nurtured in our history.
Instead of fighting like this we should celebrate our unity in the face of the islamic danger which threatens all our traditions.
Let both sides celebrate each other's ancient traditions and work together to save our lands from this alien islamic religion.
HOW ABOUT IT BROTHERS?

SUNNY HUNDAL - SELF PROCLAIMED ENGLISHMAN

SUNNY HUNDAL - WANTS TO BE AN ENGLISHMAN

I’m not entirely certain whether this is simply a wind-up or whether he’s being serious, but our old chum Sunny Hundal of Guardian CiF and Pickled Politics fame has decided that being merely British (-Asian) is not good enough for him. Oh no! He’s not holding back, he’s not hiding his light under a bushel, he’s coming out and going for the full English, as in From now on I’m English, not British.

Here’s the man himself, something of a rara avis in fact, a turbanless Sikh – at least that spares him the humiliations his erstwhile (non-English) fellow tribesmen have apparently been experiencing at the hands of the neo-fascists who man the security barricades at Britain’s airports.

He could also be a Woman if he wants to.

Sounds like a New labour meeting with Harriet harman and the loony left.

A MALAISE IN THE TOWN HALL

I read in the paper today that Wigan Metro staff take nearly 18 days off sick per year, nearly 3 times as much as the time taken in private industry.
Why is that? In private industry the work is often more onerous and dangerous so one would think the workers would take more time off. But no. In private industry they know their jobs are on the line, especially if the firm goes out of business.
Also in the Town Hall many managers don't bother whether the job is done on time or not or even at all. Often the job seems pointless (Like Elliot's).
Workers think "the boss doesn't care so why should I". And the boss doesn't care as it is not their money being wasted.
On the other hand praise for good work is not given so there is complete lack of motivation to be a good worker.

The basic trouble is management.
Wigan managers are paid massive salaries (I have still not found out how these massive salaries are awarded and by whom)but the stats show they are not managing.
How to cure this malaise?
Make the senior management's jobs and pay dependant on the satisfaction, dedication and efficiency of their underlings as evidenced by the sickness rates. If these are too high. Sack the managers.
Then they would pay more attention to the work environment, employee satisfaction and output generally.
A bonus would be that staff numbers could be reduced (and I don't mean binmen or care workers) and our council taxes also reduced.

UK schools told rearrange exams, cancel lessons to avoid offending Muslims during Ramadan

DHIMMITUDE UK

Sharia law. Plain and simple.

A council has ordered schools to rearrange tests, cancel swimming lessons and stop sex education to avoid offending Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan.

All primary schools and secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent have been issued with the guidance aimed at Muslim pupils who may still be fasting when the new term starts in September.

But critics dismissed the dictats as ‘over-zealous’ bureaucracy and said all pupils would be forced to miss out on activities as a result.

During Ramadan, all Muslims who have reached puberty are forbidden from eating food or drinking liquids between sunrise to sunset to encourage discipline and self-restraint.

Some younger children also choose to fast for all or part of the month.

To help them with this, Stoke-on-Trent City council advises schools not to schedule exams or hold parents’ meetings and social events after school.

They are also directed to avoid swimming lessons because some parents and pupils consider the risk of swallowing water too great.

The papers even advise schools to cancel sex and relationship education because Muslims are expected to avoid sexual thoughts and relations while fasting.

Although the guidance was specifically drawn up to help Muslims, it will affect every pupil in the roughly 90 schools in the area.

According to the last official figures in 2001, just 3.2 per cent of the population of Stoke is Muslim.

The guidance, which was issued at a council meeting, advises schools that fasting pupils who are eligible for free school meals should have the option to take their food home with them in a packed lunch.

Teachers are warned that fasting children should not be over-exerted during PE lessons as they may become dehydrated.

They are also told that they should provide more space for prayer in school and offer their support to pupils who may have had to get up before dawn to have their breakfast and may therefore be tired.

Critics from the Campaign Against Political Correctness said the document was an ‘over-bureaucratic waste of time’.

Co-founder of the campaign John Midgley said: ‘Instead of meddling in this politically-correct way the local authority should trust the judgement of pupils, parents and teachers.

‘If there’s an over-zealous implementation of this guidance that may mean some pupils could miss out on activities they could reasonably expect at school,’ he added.

Ramadan is based on the lunar calendar, meaning the date it falls on a different date each year. It is between August 11 and September 9 this year.

This means that for most of the month, the pupils will be on school holidays. They will only be at school for the last week.

The guidance was put together with material produced by the Muslim Council of Great Britain and was presented to the city council’s Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education.

When are WE going to say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH" ?

UNEMPLOYED SOMALI IMMIGRANT GIVEN £2 MILLION HOME.

Abdi and Sayruq Nur, who fled war town Somalia, had been unhappy that their previous home – also paid for by housing benefit – was not convenient for shopping and meant their children had to get the bus to school.

Now in a move certain to anger taxpayers, the couple and their seven children have relocated to a five bedroom town house in Notting Hill, where they can count artist Lucian Freud and designer Stella McCartney among their neighbours.

The family’s new home is thought to be one of the most expensive ever paid for by housing benefit and the revelation comes just a month after Ministers pledged to rein in Britain’s £20 billion a year housing benefit bill.

Mr Nur, 42, an unemployed bus conductor, arrived in Britain with his wife, who is now 40, in 1999 from Somalia and they were granted asylum.

The family were housed in a five bedroom property in the Kensal Rise area of Brent, at a cost to the taxpayer of £900 a week.

However last month Mr Nur declared he was unhappy with the property because it was in a “very poor area” and was not convenient for schools and shops.

This is a bloody disgrace but at least the Rich and Famous are now starting to live with those they so dearly want to come here.
I can't wait for the VIOLENCE to start, especially on their doorsteps.
Then they may realise how truly wonderful Multi Culturalism is.
