WIGAN MP ANGRY - AND I'M A MONKEY'S UNCLE
http://www.wigantoday.net/wigannews/Angry-MP-attacks-banks.4892526.jp
So, Neil Turner's angry about the jobs situation is he? Do you want to know how angry he and the rest of the Labour Party really are? To paraphrase from 'Gone With the Wind' - frankly my dear, they don't give a damn.
A new power station is being built in Nottinghamshire: of the 850 construction jobs available, over 500 are going to Poles, Romanians, Portuguese and Spanish workers.
A Department for Business and Enterprise spokesman said: “The EU enables companies from one member state to bid for contracts in another and bring their own workforce on a temporary basis.
What was it our excuse for a human-being Prime Minister said? Ah yes, that's right: "British jobs for British workers". Now go back a paragraph and read again what A Department for Business and Enterprise spokesman said. Do you suppose for even one minute that the Prime Minister wasn't fully aware of that when he said what he said about British jobs and British workers? He is an out-and-out liar (so sue me - LIAR!). My mother always used to say "Better a thief than a liar", on the grounds that with a thief you at least knew exactly where you stood ... but with a liar ...?
http://bnp.org.uk/2009/01/government-stabs-british-workers-in-the-back-once-again/
Now you're asking yourselves: what has this to do with Wigan and Neil Turner?
Well, do you think for even a minute that Neil Turner too isn't fully aware of what A Department for Business and Enterprise spokesman knows? And that being the case how can we believe he cares a damn about any job in Wigan other than his own? What does he know would happen if there was a large 850-man construction project here in Wigan? Wigan, Lancashire, Manchester - even the county of my birth Anglesey (read about Anglesey Aluminium Works - the biggest, best, and best paying employer on the island - closing soon ) would be no different from Nottinghamshire.
Why are these things happening? European Union regulations. Banks collapsing because of lousy regulation by the Bank of England and the F.S.A.? Well, only up to a point Lord Copper. You see, A.A. on Anglesey is closing because EU regulations ban its electricity supplier from giving discounts on its new electricity contract; they say that commercially they would be happy to do it, as previously, but now EU regulations ban it. As the electricity supplier said: "There's been no breakdown in the relationship between ourselves and Anglesey Aluminium but we have explained to them the situation. "We cannot extend the current contract with them due to new European legislation on providing subsidies to private companies." Why is the bank regulation by the FSA so poor? Well, the FSA has to work under EU regulations. The Labour party and Mr Turner know this - so why is he attacking the banks about JJB?
It's because of EU regulations that the Labour party signed up to that the Nottinghamshire jobs scandal is happening and would happen here too in like circumstances, that our largest aluminium works is closing (the second biggest plant, in Cumbria, is also soon to close and for the same reason), that the banks are so poorly regulated, and that JJB is having the finance trouble seen recently. Mr Turner knows all this.
Wigan MP is angry? No - Wigan MP knows he soon has to face the electorate, that's all. He couldn't care a damn about anyone's job but his own.
Vote BNP; you know it makes sense.
Especially vote BNP for the upcoming Euro-elections. Send BNP MEPs to Brussels so they can root out all the EU spanners and drop them in the works.

IS THEIR JOY RACIST?

ENGLAND YOUR ENGLAND
In England patriotism takes different forms in different classes, but it runs like a connecting thread through nearly all of them. Only the Europeanized intelligentsia are really immune to it. As a positive emotion it is stronger in the middle class than in the upper class – the cheap public schools, for instance, are more given to patriotic demonstrations than the expensive ones – but the number of definitely treacherous rich men, the Laval-Quisling type, is probably very small. In the working class patriotism is profound, but it is unconscious. The working man's heart does not leap when he sees a Union Jack. But the famous ‘insularity’ and ‘xenophobia’ of the English is far stronger in the working class than in the bourgeoisie. In all countries the poor are more national than the rich, but the English working class are outstanding in their abhorrence of foreign habits. Even when they are obliged to live abroad for years they refuse either to accustom themselves to foreign food or to learn foreign languages. Nearly every Englishman of working-class origin considers it effeminate to pronounce a foreign word correctly. During the war of 1914-18 the English working class were in contact with foreigners to an extent that is rarely possible. The sole result was that they brought back a hatred of all Europeans, except the Germans, whose courage they admired. In four years on French soil they did not even acquire a liking for wine. The insularity of the English, their refusal to take foreigners seriously, is a folly that has to be paid for very heavily from time to time. But it plays its part in the English mystique, and the intellectuals who have tried to break it down have generally done more harm than good. At bottom it is the same quality in the English character that repels the tourist and keeps out the invader.

M.P.s EXPENSES
Tonight I wrote to our Wigan M.P., Mr Neil Turner about the upcoming vote. Here is a copy of what I wrote:
Subject: Upcoming vote on disclosure/non-disclosure of Members’ expenses.
Kindly note that there is much general dismay at your Government's intention to suppress detailed disclosure of Members' expenses despite having promised to do so for the avoidance of both abuse and its suspicion, and in particular Mr Straw's intention to alter Freedom of Information law in order to facilitate this.
There is no legitimate reason that Parliamentarians should be exempted from the duty imposed, rightly, on all other public servants, to account to taxpayers for their money that you spend.
This attempt to suppress information about expenses arouses even more suspicion of abuse than had you said nothing, and just left things as they were before recent scandals became public knowledge. This will be seen as yet another nail in the coffin of Parliament’s barely surviving reputation for integrity.
Why on Earth do you wonder about the apathy of voters, about the low regard in which you are all collectively held, or wonder why the British National Party is steadily increasing its support nationwide? In this matter of expenses (amongst much else), you are all collectively held up as objects of derision.
The remedy is in the hands of yourself and your fellow Parliamentarians, who would do well to consider who employs you, and why.
You would also do well to remember that your employers observe you and, drawing their own conclusions from your actions, will, in their turn vote accordingly at the appropriate time. It is already noted that your share of the vote in this constituency has steadily dropped since you were first elected.
We do not know how you, personally, intend to vote in this matter so, for now, we give you the benefit of the doubt. Bear in mind though, that along with numerous other people, we will check, and publish; whether to your credit or discredit.
As far as you are concerned, though, the public at large will not distinguish between Members who vote honourably in this matter and those who do not. The inevitable upshot is that suspicion of abuse will fall upon you all if this attempt at suppression is successful.

I suggest all our readers in Wigan write a similar (not identical as that would be seen as 'spam') letter to whichever of our three M.P.s represents you. I further suggest that all our readers from elsewhere write to their own M.P., about this topic, wherever that may be. Thanking you in advance.
To make it easy for you to write to your M.P., just click on the following link:
I picked up the details of this matter from the blog of the leader of the Libertarian Party. Please vist and follow the links he has provided in order to get all the details of what our Parliamentarians are trying to do to stop us finding out how they spend our money.

The Libertarian Party - the only political party other than ourselves that supports our right to exist and to believe what we do believe. The only party that may be our opponent, but is not our enemy. Remember that when we are the elected government of our country.
Don't forget - write! Write now! That's right - right now!
Right?

COMING APART AT THE SEAMS.
http://leg-iron.livejournal.com/131957.html
There isn't a word in it that I can disagree with. Strangely enough, I find it a perfect match for Charles's post immediately preceding this. Read it all - I suspect none of you will have any disagreements with it either:
Something odd is happening.
Following on the heels of the lie that state schools are producing better results than public schools, Ed. ‘So What’ Balls has declared that poverty and so-called ‘disadvantage’ is no bar to academic success.
http://www.spectator.co.uk/coffeehouse/3237436/lies-damned-lies-and-league-tables.thtml
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/education/article5525090.ece
That’s true, as it happens, but why is he saying it now? After more than a decade of excuses for lousy teaching, dumbing down of exams, children applying to university with results the university know full well mean nothing, universities having to teach basic spelling and grammar because the schools didn’t bother, claims by Righteous all over the press and the internet that only rich kids succeed (led by the proclamations of the Toynbee), even Tom Harris being shouted down on his own blog for mentioning that perhaps some kids might be brighter than others and it might not all be down to money…
Now we have the Monster for Re-education himself, the man who wanted to remove any actual learning from school and replace it with touchy-feely subjects that naturally don’t include any actual touching or feeling because that would be bullying and sexual assault, declaring that schools are just making excuses for poor performance.
Well of course they are, you goggle-eyed cretin. We’ve been screaming it for years. Universities have told you. Some of the few remaining sensible teachers have told you. The legions of Burberry-clad drones you’ve produced could have told you, if they had left school with the ability to articulate. We know the schools are in a mess. Everyone knows. We also know who caused it. You, Balls, you flappy-eyelidded bloated buffoon. You and your Righteous warriors of equality and political correctness. You did it. Have you really only just realised?
Every time anyone mentions the idiocy that goes on in our schools, we are met with Righteous declarations of ‘Elitist Nazi racist BNP right-wing Tory bully-boy’ and told that every instance we highlight, every single one, is just an urban legend blown out of proportion by the media. Every time someone points out that differences in achievement might have more to do with differences in intelligence rather than social class, we are shouted down. Examples are held up of schools in ‘disadvantaged’ areas that perform poorly.
Well of course they perform poorly. Bouncy Balls has just admitted the reason. They can get more money by claiming to be full of poor disadvantaged thickos than by actually doing their jobs and teaching these kids some real knowledge. It’s profitable to have a high proportion of failure. It’s profitable to have a load of special needs kids, whether they really are or not. It’s profitable for the school and it’s profitable for the Righteous pretend charities that create and sustain the illusion that a huge percentage of the population has a vaguely-defined disorder or two.
This whole administration has been built on excuses, lies, dependency and benefits. All of it. The Incredible Blinking Man has apparently managed to keep his eyes open long enough to realise that it can’t work. Now the money’s run out, it can’t work. There is no endless stream of benefits. There is no more credit. There’s nobody to pay all the tax the Gorgon needs to sustain his vast army of State employees, especially when they retire.
For the last decade, schools have turned out people who will never find this or any other website because they can’t spell it. They can’t read books because books are full of correctly-spelled words they don’t recognise. They have no real skills, they have GCSE’s in administration and social work. They have been told that they are too good for menial but essential jobs, even when they aren’t. They have been told to expect nothing but the best, no life but the good life, and those evil middle class taxpayers will fund it all.
Thousands of those middle class taxpayers are now out of work. They aren’t paying tax any more. Raising taxes on the rest will put them out of work or out of the country. People are not buying stuff because they can’t afford to. Production and imports are falling because there is no market for the stuff here any more.
So now, somewhere in the dim recesses of the hive-mind of socialism, a lone neuron has realised that in order to make money, the country has to produce something. In order to do that, it needs people capable of producing something. The potential in all those schoolkids can only be realised if they are actually taught to use whatever abilities they are born with, and to stop expecting to have everything handed to them while they laze about in front of the TV with the Argos catalogue.
Too late, Blinky. You can’t fix this in time. You have a generation of worthless, self-important Entitled now and most of them will pass those attitudes on to their children. It will take at least a decade before any change is noticed, even if you make those changes right now. It will take at least two or three generations to undo the mess you’ve made.
He’s not the only one. The Ginger Midget has declared that the country’s immigration controls are a shambles. Yes they are, Bleary, and your Righteous drones have shouted down anyone who’s said that for years.
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/article5489536.ece
And Bananaman has stated that the war on terror isn’t working. You mindless oaf, Milkybar. Your government used it to set up cameras, ID cards, pseudoplods who don’t know the law, airports where you have to strip almost naked to get through security, photographers and trainspotters arrested as terrorists, and an opposition MP raided without a warrant. You used it to fine people for overfilled bins and against another country's banks. Now you admit it was all a sham? Too late.

You know the only gleam of hope in all this? They already sound like they’re in opposition.
I hope they’re practicing for the inevitable.Of course, it could all be a distraction so we won't notice this.

I've got nothing to add to that just now.
