British troops are being trained in riot control tactics amid fears that violence and looting will return to Britain's streets this summer.

Hundreds of soldiers from 3rd battalion The Parachute Regiment spent last week learning how to contain and arrest "rioters" in a series of exercises mirroring last summers violence.

Defence sources have confirmed that if violence were to return to British cities, especially during the Olympic Games, the Paras would be "ideally placed" to provide "short-term" support to police forces around the UK.

Such a request would have to be made by the Home Office and would have to have Prime Ministerial approval, according to the source.

During the exercises at the Lydd training base in Kent, the elite troops were pelted with petrol bombs and missiles and "fought" running battles with gangs of protesters as part of the battalion's "public order training".

The battalion is the lead unit in the Airborne Task Force - the Army's premier rapid response unit and can be called on to deal with a wide range of emergency situations - from hostage rescue to riot control - around the world.

Sources have stressed however that being riot-trained does not necessarily mean the Paras will be deployed onto British street in the event of future wide-scale public disorder; instead the move was described as "prudent contingency planning".

There is not understood to have been a specific request from the Home Office or police for the training to be carried out.

The riot training could be used if soldiers were called in to evacuate British nationals or embassies in the face of public disorder in a foreign country.

In the past, riot training was carried out by all troops deploying to Northern Ireland where public disturbances were commonplace. But those skills have been lost following the withdrawal of troops from the streets of the province.

But it is understood that commanders of units likely to be deployed into public order environments have been must have troops ready to be able to deal with all military and civil emergencies.

As well as 3 Para, the Army has another unit known as the "Public Order Battalion", also trained to deal with rioting, bringing the total number of troops to around 1500.

During last week's training package soldiers were taught how to use body-length use riots shields, protect themselves from missiles and how to identify and arrest "ring leaders' using specially trained "snatch squads".

Troops were trained into how to work as teams armed with body-length shields in driving back hostile crowds. The exercise culminated in a full scale riot with fellow soldiers acting as aggressors.

Major Richard Todd, the officer commanding A Coy 3 Para, said: "Learning how to deal with public order situations is a new skill for on a challenging and extremely realistic course.

"Many of the drills are no different to what the Roman Army used to do, with highly disciplined soldiers advancing forward under the protection of shields.

"The key to dealing with large, hostile crowds is control and knowing when and how to react to what is happening in front of you.

"This training is about getting soldiers used to facing a high pressure situation so they don't overreact if they have to face it for real."

Private Peter Harrington, 19, who was also taking part in the exercise added: "It is scary to have petrol bombs thrown at you and really gets the adrenaline going.

"I've had the experience of it now and learnt that dealing with public order incidents is all about looking out for each other and keeping a cool head."

Last summer's rioting was sparked by the police shooting of Mark Duggan in Tottenham. The violence quickly spread across London and to other cities where police attacked with fire bombs, shops were looted and businesses burnt to the ground.

The violence, which saw home owners being forced to jump from burning buildings, led to calls for the Army to be deployed on to the streets to support the police.

One senior source said: "The police couldn't cope with last year's riots and the Army came very close to being deployed.

"All of the Army's riot equipment was in Scotland at the time and that created a time delay but lessons from that have been learnt. The Army could have deployed but it would have been only marginally quicker than the police.

"Soldiers would have powers of arrest and would be entitled to defend themselves using minimum force. It is unlikely they would be armed but that would be an option if the situation deteriorated.

"They would almost certainly deploy with baton rounds, which are discriminate and, if used correctly, non-lethal."

The riots were the were the worst for a generation and caused over £300m of damage. Hundreds of shops and warehouses were looted as gangs of youth organised attacks via twitter and other social media sites.

The number and spontaneity of the riots often meant that police from forces across the country, but especially in London, were stretched to the limit and in some cases unable to cope.

Local residents were forced to form vigilante groups to protect their communities after confidence in the police evaporated.

The US Navy would save a great deal of money, more than the scrap worth of the steel, if USS Enterprise were to be sunk in the Persian Gulf, where the radioactive mess is someone else's problem to deal with. So, why send an ancient ship at the end of her useful life into harms way? The same reason Franklin Roosevelt moved a bunch of obsolete warships from San Diego to Pearl Harbor, while the newer carriers and warships were well away from Hawaii on December 7th, 1941. Israel has 3 Dolphin submarines, given to her by Germany. They have been seen transiting the Suez Canal in the past, and could well be operating in the Gulf of Oman, even the Persian Gulf by now, lying in wait for a used-up and obsolete warship, more useful as a sacrificial lamb than an actual weapon. Facebook has 20 million users worldwide, is worth billions of dollars and, if internet sources are to be believed, was started by the CIA.

The social networking phenomenon started as a way of American college students to keep in touch. It is rapidly catching up with MySpace, and has left others like Bebo in its wake.

But there is a dark side to the success story that's been spreading across the blogosphere. A complex but riveting Big Brother-type conspiracy theory which links Facebook to the CIA and the US Department of Defence.

The CIA is, though, using a Facebook group to recruit staff for its very sexy sounding National Clandestine Service.

does require a Facebook login, so if you haven't joined the site - or are worried that CIA spooks will start following you home from work -check them out on the agency's own site .

The story starts once Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg had launched, after the dorm room drama that's led to the current court case .

Facebook's first round of venture capital funding ($US500,000) came from former Paypal CEO Peter Thiel. Author of anti-multicultural tome 'The Diversity Myth', he is also on the board of radical conservative group VanguardPAC.

The second round of funding into Facebook ($US12.7 million) came from venture capital firm Accel Partners. Its manager James Breyer was formerly chairman of the National Venture Capital Association, and served on the board with Gilman Louie, CEO of In-Q-Tel, a venture capital firm established by the Central Intelligence Agency in 1999. One of the company's key areas of expertise are in "data mining technologies".

Breyer also served on the board of R&D firm BBN Technologies, which was one of those companies responsible for the rise of the internet.

Dr Anita Jones joined the firm, which included Gilman Louie. She had also served on the In-Q-Tel's board, and had been director of Defence Research and Engineering for the US Department of Defence.

She was also an adviser to the Secretary of Defence and overseeing the Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), which is responsible for high-tech, high-end development.

It was when a journalist lifted the lid on the DARPA's Information Awareness Office that the public began to show concern at its information mining projects.

Wikipedia's IAO page says: "the IAO has the stated mission to gather as much information as possible about everyone, in a centralised location, for easy perusal by the United States government, including (though not limited to) internet activity, credit card purchase histories, airline ticket purchases, car rentals, medical records, educational transcripts, driver's licenses, utility bills, tax returns, and any other available data.".

Not surprisingly, the backlash from civil libertarians led to a Congressional investigation into DARPA's activity, the Information Awareness Office lost its funding.

Now the internet conspiracy theorists are citing Facebook as the IAO's new mask.

Parts of the IAO's technology round-up included 'human network analysis and behaviour model building engines', which Facebook's massive volume of neatly-targeted data gathering allows for.

Facebook's own Terms of use state: "by posting Member Content to any part of the Web site, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to facebook an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, fully paid, worldwide license to use, copy, perform, display, reformat, translate, excerpt and distribute such information and content and to prepare derivative works of, or incorpoate into other works, such information and content, and to grant and authorise sublicenses of the foregoing.

And in its equally interesting privacy policy : "Facebook may also collect information about you from other sources, such as newspapers, blogs, instant messaging services, and other users of the Facebook service through the operation of the service (eg. photo tags) in order to provide you with more useful information and a more personalised experience. By using Facebook, you are consenting to have your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States."

Is the CIA really providing the impetus and the funding behind the monster growth of this year's biggest dot com success story? Maybe only the men with the nice suits and ear pieces can answer that.

I read today of the Romanian woman on benefits being allowed housing benefit after saying that selling "The Big Issue" is a legitimate job.
This parasite who needed an interpreter in court in spite of having lived here for four years, as well as the lawyers all at our expense is already getting £25,500 in benefits for her four children, one of whom it seems is disabled.

Now it seems to that will be added her £2,600 housing benefit so over £28,000 in all plus what she makes selling the magazine bringing a grand total of £33,000 per year.
She has a child of two, but no mention of a partner.
She must have had one at one point and probably still has.

How many hard working British families struggle to survive on much less while doing useful jobs which contribute to our economy? There must be millions.

I don't see why she should have any benefits here. If she wants to breed like a rabbit, let her do it in her own country.
I don't even want to see her types in my country, whether they parasitise from us or not.

She and her brood should be sent home and the nice house she has acquired (it seems without speaking English) could be let to some DESERVING BRITISH FAMILY.

The governernment says that although it disagrees with the ruling it is bound by the international law.

I do not accept that. It is a cop out.

I believe the judiciary deliberately undermine our society, some for political reasons and some in order to make more money for their corrupt proffession.

Another article in the paper reports that squatters from Moldova have moved into a house in London which was empty and about to be sold.
The police of course can not help as it is a "civil matter".

So breaking in someone's house is a civil matter is it?
They'd find out whether it was if I found squatters in my house. They wouldn't last five minutes.

And yet another report on the ugly muslim terrorist who can not be deported to face charges of terrorism because of his human rights.
Abu Qatada or whatever his name has been prevented from being deported by the ECHR to answer charges even though that country has guaranteed a fair trial and treatment.

Of course Gary McKinnon can be extradited to the USA as well as the other lad accuses of helping music downloads.
And American jails are not nice places like our holiday camps but it seems they must go even though McKinnon will probably not survive.

The turmoil in the Middle East is continuing and even hotting up with Iran threatenung to close the Straits of Hormuz which will lead to a rise in gas prices here it is said (another indication of the folly of selling our own gas supplies off cheap, and the "dash to gas" while sidelining indigenous coal supplies), and maybe because of the boycott of Iran an increase in oil prices.

Assasinations of nuclear scientists in Iran by Israel continue with little condemnation by our government or media. One wonders if the situation were reversed whether these atrocities would be so played down.

Iran has been accused of disobeying UN resolutions and it has. But so, many times over the past fifty years has Israel without condemnation.
Foolishly Iran stated that it wishes to destroy Israel, while Israel goes about destroying Palestine by stealth, condoned by the West.
Israel does not say what its intentions are even though they betray them through their actions

I hold no brief for Iran nor any muslim regime, but to understand the present situation one must study the history of the Middle East in the 20th century which has been bedevilled by Wwestern and British interference.

Starting during WW1 the arrogance of the Balfour Declaration which gave land which did not belong to us to the Zionists has had a catastrophic effect on that region, intensified by our and the USA's continuing meddling and interference there.

In the Fifties we removed a democratically elected leader and installed the Shah, a ruthless and cruel leader whose crimes were hushed up in the West but suffered by the Iranian people.

In the Eighties we backed Saddam Hussein in a war against Iran in which he used poison gas and only fell out with him when he pointed a gun at Israel, and then got in a war justified on false evidence.

Meanwhile the consolidation of Israel continued with more local people displaced into squalid camps, and those remaining having second class status.

Lebanon has been invaded and parts of Syria occupied by Israel.

And we are surprised by the hatred to us shown by Arabs and other Middle Eastern countries?

They see us as unfair and against them and retaliate as evidenced by the 9/11 horrors and London bombings.

Why do we continue on this path of strife which will inevitably end in nuclear war?
Because of the Zionist lobby in the USA and Britain with its political influence and money.

We should attempt to see things from the Arab point of view and come to a "non interference" arrangement with them.
We should allow matters in the Middle East to be settled by the people living there and if they want to fight keep out of it. Thus any arms held by states there would be of no threat to us.

It is said that Israel is a bulwark for democracy in the Middle East. No it is not, it is a festering bone of contention set among people with no desire for democracy and certainly no desire to be dominated by Zionist money and influence.

Israel has cost the "West" billions and many lives.
Our fuel supplies are threatened by its presence as is our safety.

If we could disengage from all influence there and negotiate the return of muslims here we would preserve our country from further danger from this unstable region.

AN ASSAULT ON OUR FREEDOMS

If anybody still doubts the increasingly undemocratic assault on our rights an anouncement today in the papers would surely disabuse them of these doubts.

We have become inured to the stealthy attacks on our free speech, which I as a child was told was the cornerstone of our freedoms. But we have now to be careful what we say in case we offend people who we did not invite here and should not in my opinion be here in case we are accused of "racism". This latter is the most serious crime of all.

In effect stating that you have more affinity with those of your own ethnicity and object to the colonisation of our land has to be said very carefully or you could end up in court

A court you may say would give you justice.
The evidence weighed by 12 true men, your peers would guarantee justice, wouldn't it?

Well up to now it would, but now it is proposed to do away with juries in many cases and have the verdict decided by a a solitary magistrate or "learned"(don't make me laugh) lawyer.

Why?

To save money they say.
Well if that were the case perhaps the legal proffession should cut theur fees.

You can be sure that those chosen to adjudicate will be chosen to ensure the correct PC views and thus the correct verdict.

But what about those who do not hold views considered by the government as correct or "acceptible". They would be found guilty and punished.

We have had the jury system for hundreds of years and it has provided a degree of protection for the ordinary man, his freedoms of action and speech. Admittedly not all verdicts passed by juries are correct, but not all judgements made by judges are correct, hence the number of cases when at appeal cases were overturned and the judgement deemed to be faulty (I note judges can not be sued for incompetence as can other proffessionals).

Yes speed up the legal process by all means. Make it cheaper by cutting legal and judges fees, but not at the expense of justice.

I do not trust the state to be impartial in all cases as history has shown this leads to dictatorship.

We can only have confidence in the law and justice system when we are judged by our peers. That is our guarantor and we must hold on to this.

Or do we allow ourselves to be conned into Mandelson's "POST DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY"

It is worth spenting £30 million to avoid this.

"The virologist who created a potentially dangerous, mutant strain of the deadly bird flu virus has agreed to omit methodology details from his published reports on the new strain. The decision came after the U.S. government warned Tuesday that published details of the experiment could be used to create a biological warfare weapon.

Ron Fouchier of Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, Netherlands, said he created the contagious form of the deadly H5N1 bird flu strain "easily" by mutating a few genes within the strain. Officials feared the virus could kill millions if it were unleashed.

The study results were to be published in the U.S. journal Science, but in an unprecedented move, the National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity, an independent committee that advises the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and other federal agencies, recommended against full publication after it determined the risks outweighed the benefit.

"Due to the importance of the findings to the public health and research communities, the NSABB recommended that the general conclusions highlighting the novel outcome be published, but that the manuscripts not include the methodological and other details that could enable replication of the experiments by those who would seek to do harm," the committee said in a statement Tuesday.

A dutch scientist, Ron Fouchier, created mutations of the H5N1 virus in a lab saying it will be helpful in treating the disease and creating vaccines.

"The researchers have reservations about this recommendation but will observe it," the Erasmus Medical Center said Wednesday in a statement.

Fouchier said that he hoped his research would assist in developing better vaccines and treatments for influenza in the future. He conducted his research on ferrets, whose immune response to influenza is similar to that of humans.

"We know which mutation to watch for in the case of an outbreak, and we can then stop the outbreak before it is too late," Fouchier said in a statement Tuesday on the medical center's website. "Furthermore, the finding will help in the timely development of vaccinations and medication."

The Erasmus Medical Center press office and the National Institutes of Health, which funded the research, said in statements that the researchers are currently working on a new report that complies with the feds' recommendations before it is published in scientific journals.

Since it appeared in 1996, H5N1 has killed hundreds of millions of birds, but transmission to humans has been rare. There have been about 600 confirmed cases of infections in people, most who worked directly with poultry. While rare, it is a deadly human disease. About 60 percent of those who had confirmed cases of the virus died.

Up until now, experts believed that the strain was transmissible from person-to-person only through very close contact, but Fouchier mutated the strain, creating an airborne virus that could be easily transmitted through coughs and sneezes.

In a written statement, Science's editor-in-chief Bruce Alberts said that the journal was taking the NSABB's request for an abbreviated version of Fouchier's research "very seriously."

While Alberts said that the journal strongly supported the work of the NSABB, Alberts and the journal's editors have "concerns about withholding potentially important public-health information from responsible influenza researchers. Many scientists within the influenza community have a bona fide need to know the details of this research in order to protect the public, especially if they currently are working with related strains of the virus."

The protests over the proposed new railway from London to Birmingham typify the "nimbysm" of the people living along the route. It is also a problem for Cameron and his Tories that many of his supporters, including his father in law are up in arms as is Baron Rothschild.
This latter person will be subjected to a railway within a mile of his country seat which to him is unacceptable. Poor man, my heart bleeds for him.

It is hard for people who have their houses destroyed for such a scheme as inevitably some will be but this has happened all over the country with the building of new towns and motorways and people have had to put up with it.

The difference is that those previously affected have not been as well heeled and lacked the political clout of those now threatened.

It seems OK to build over countryside in semi urban areas where there is a scarcity of open space but not in the broad acres inhabited by well heeled Tories.
Their view will be disturbed and no doubt newts and other supposedly endangered species threatened they will say.
Hundreds of millions of pounds will be expended as a sop to these well heeled people in tunnelling to avoid spoiling their views.

The above may seem that I do not hold the countryside dear. I do especially as a farmer and am well aware of the impact of transport networks on local environments. I live 100 yards from the M6 which bisects my farm and the noise is noticeable at times, but you get used to it and shielded by greenery as it now is the impact is minimal.

If the only reason for building a new railway was the speed of getting to London I would be against it.
My main reason for supporting the venture is that when continued to Manchester and especially Liverpool these cities would be rejuvenated.
Liverpool could become a gateway to Europe and a thriving port once more
In addition many much needed jobs in construction would be created and having been compl;eted the line would be a permanent part of our national infrastructure for many years, unlike the Olympic Games or the "Dome". We would reap the benefits for years and help redress the balance between the affluent South and the neglected North.

Of course many of those complaining are not concerned with the prospects of the northern regions or employment in general, insulated as they are by city office jobs and great wealth.
Many live in the country in second homes and are there only at weekends and do not want their rural idyll disturbed so they can escape the environment in which so many others live.

But how do they travel to their rural retreats? By car along a motorway which will have affected the regions through which it passes just as much as a railway, or even by rail where the same argument applies.

Unless they avoid rail and motorway travel they should at least have the insight that their mode of transport affects others, but then when have these types ever considered others, let alone the national interest?

Michael Mann is an historical sociologist and Professor of Sociology at UCLA. In his book Fascists (Cambridge University Press, 2004) he provides the following definition:

“Fascism is the pursuit of a transcendent and cleansing nation-statism through paramilitarism.” (Mann, op. cit., p. 13)

Definition of terms:

· Transcendence: Belief that the state can transcend social conflict and blend all social classes into a harmonious whole. Belief in the power of political ideology to transcend human nature and produce a better world.

· Cleansing (ethnic): Favoring one or more ethnic or racial groups over others, either by granting special privileges or imposing disabilities; deportation of ethnic minorities, or worse.

· Cleansing (political): Silencing the political opposition so that the transcendent aims of fascism can be realized. Restricting the freedom of speech, outlawing opposition parties, imprisoning political opponents (or worse) and indoctrinating youth in fascist principles.

· Statism: Promoting a high degree of state intervention in personal, social, or economic matters. Belief that the state can accomplish anything.

· Paramilitarism: “Grass roots”, populist squadrism aimed at coercing opponents and obtaining popular approbation by acting as a supplementary police force.

2. Robert O. Paxton

Robert Paxton is an American historian and emeritus professor of history at Columbia University. In his book The Anatomy of Fascism (Alfred A. Knopf, 2004) he develops the following definition:

“Fascism may be defined as a form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation or victimhood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy and purity, in which a massed-based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external explansion.” (Paxton, op. cit., p. 218)

3. R.J.B. Bosworth

Bosworth is professor of history at the University of Western Australia and has been a Visiting Fellow at Columbia, Cambridge, Oxford, and Trento Universities. In his book Mussolini’s Italy: Life Under the Fascist Dictatorship, 1915-1945 (Penguin Press, 2006) he reviews the definitions of Mann and Paxton, with some approbation and some criticism. Regarding Paxton he points out, for example, that the Italian Fascist regime, once in power, left the court system largely intact, provided a good measure of due process, never established anything close to a gulag, and accommodated the church – hardly things that indicate it was “without ethical or legal restraints”. Regarding Mann, he disputes the notion that Italian Fascism “killed democracy” by observing (rightly) that pre-Fascist Italy was not a democracy anyway, and questions the importance of ideological “transcendence”. Bosworth avoids a succinct definition of Fascism for reasons he himself summarizes as follows:

“…it might be argued that the quest for definition of fascism has become absurdly laboured. Why opt for a long list of factors or paragraph of rococo ornateness when Mussolini, on a number of occasions, informed people he regarded as converted to his cause that Fascism was a simple matter? All that was needed was a single party, a dopolavoro [“after work”, a social leisure time organization], and, he did not have to add, a Duce (with a Bocchini to repress dissent) and a will to exclude the foe (somehow defined). To be still more succinct, as Mussolini told Franco in October 1936, what the Spaniard should aim at was a regime that was simultaneously ‘authoritarian’, ‘social’, and ‘popular’. That amalgam, the Duce advised, was the basis of universal fascism.” (Bosworth, op. cit., p. 564.)

4. Conflation

a. Elements deemed essential by all authors

All three authors agree that statism, nationalism , unity, authoritarianism, and vigor are essential elements of fascism.

b. Elements deemed non-essential by all authors

All three authors spend some time discussing things commonly thought to characterize fascism but which do not. They note that such things as parades and street violence were common features of mass movements at the time, and not distinctively fascist. They also note that the role of anti-Semitism in the rise of fascist movements was minor. In the Italian case, it played no role at all in the early days, and indeed many Jews were party members. And then of course there was Mussolini’s Jewish mistress Margherita Sarfatti. In Germany, anti-Semitism was intentionally downplayed by the Nazis during their ascendant phase because many voters found it offensive.

c. Areas of disagreement.

Bosworth is not wholly satisfied with the definitions offered by Mann and Paxton, as previously noted. Mann differs from Paxton and Bosworth on various points, two notable ones being:

i. Charismatic leadership. Mann tends to assign this attribute lesser weight because his analysis includes fascist movements (in Romania, Hungary, Austria, Spain, and Greece) where charismatic leadership was not an essential element.

ii. Violence. Unlike Bosworth and Paxton, Mann is a sociologist and takes a more thoughtful approach in analyzing the use of violence in fascist movements. For Mann, violence is something that states do to maintain order; they do it with military and police forces, prisons, and the gallows. It is the use of paramilitary violence, not violence per se, that Mann finds to be an essential attribute of ascendant fascism. Once fascists have control of the state, they tend to enforce the state’s monopoly on violence and suppress the irregular violence of the squadristi (Black Shirts, Brown Shirts, etc.). Mann has the better of the argument here.

5. Synthesis and Extension: The Ultimate Definition of Fascism

After reviewing the works of these and many other authors, together with sundry primary historical and sociological sources, I think the following definition best captures the etiology and ontology of fascism.

“Fascism is a form of political and social behavior that arises when the middle class, finding its hopes frustrated by economic instability coupled with political polarization and deadlock, abandons traditional ideologies and turns, with the approbation of police and military forces, to a poorly-defined but emotionally appealing soteriology of national unity, immediate and direct resolution of problems, and intolerance for dissent.” (Chuck Anesi, 2008)

Cause and Effect Diagram for European Fascism

a. Middle Class. In the United States, the term “middle class” as used here includes the high prole, lower middle, middle, and part of the upper middle classes. Americans generally think themselves one class higher than they actually are. To paraphrase Crane Brinton’s Anatomy of Revolution, the lower classes have their peasant revolts, the upper classes have their palace coups, but the middle classes make revolutions.

b. Economic Instability. Economic instability played a prominent role in the rise of fascism wherever it was successful, and was more perilous to the middle classes than to the lower classes (who had little to lose) or the upper classes (who were insulated from its effects). Demographic analyses of fascist party membership (Mann, op. cit.) shows quite clearly that members were on the whole younger and better educated than population means – precisely those who would be most likely to have their opportunities blocked by economic instability.

c. Polarization and Deadlock. In all cases where fascism was successful, its rise was preceded by a period of political polarization and parliamentary deadlock. In Italy, forming a stable parliamentary majority had proved impossible since 1919, and making Mussolini Prime Minister in October 1922 offered a convenient way to break the deadlock. The celebrated “March on Rome” could have been easily resisted by the government (and in fact most fascists on their way to Rome were prevented from reaching it by police forces), but it offered a handy excuse for Victor Emmanuel II to invite Mussolini into the government. In Germany, it had been impossible to form a parliamentary majority from March 1930 until Hitler’s appointment as chancellor; Hindenburg had been ruling with emergency powers article 48 of the German constitution until the appointment of Hitler as chancellor in January 1933 allowed formation of a conservative majority government. Ironically, the failure of leftists to compromise and work with centrists was a major enabler for the rise of fascism in both Italy and Germany.

d. Abandonment of Traditional Ideologies. To paraphrase Thomas (not Michael) Mann, World War I fired the mine beneath the Magic Mountain of pre-war Europe when the Enlightenment heritage of individual rights, progress, and equality collapsed into unprecedented carnage. The war left the victors exhausted and demoralized, the losers angry and resentful, and everyone wondering what went wrong.

The victors applied a policy of self-determination to reduce the level of ethnic strife by rationalizing borders and creating homelands for the various “races” (speech and culture groups) of Europe. This scheme failed to reduce tensions for four reasons. (1) regional heterogeneity made it impossible to create ethnically pure states; (2) the desire to weaken the former Central Powers led to violations of the policy — placement of large German populations in the new nations of Czechoslovakia and Poland, and large Hungarian populations in Romania and Czechoslovakia; (3) the policy was at odds with the natural desire of the victors for territorial booty, and failed to reward Italy with any significant territorial gain (the South Tyrol not being significant in the Italian view); and (4) the policy promoted aggressive nationalism.

The war was also followed by sharp though brief economic recessions and, in some countries, by hyperinflation.

Given all this, it is not hard to see why many authors have seen World War I as the primary “cause” of fascism. Enlightenment liberalism had failed to prevent a huge blood bath, created a peace that nobody was happy with, and wrecked the economy. New ideas, many thought, were needed.

e. Approbation of Police and Military Forces. The police and military forces are responsible for execising the state’s monopoly on violence to maintain order and defend the state. They are highly organized and skillful at what they do, and respect competence and efficiency. They will not long respect a government that is incompetent and inefficient.

Fascists did not “seize power” through any credible threat of violence. Once in office, they proceeded to consolidate and expand their power through technically legal means.

f. Poorly-defined. Fascist ideology was vague and protean. This is a source of endless frustration to those who expect to find a coherent definition of fascism in the the writings of party “philosophers”. But it reflects nothing more than fascism’s pragmatic approach to attaining its goals and its unwillingness to be bound (like its predecessors) to failed dogmas. Like all popular movements, fascism tried to encapsulate ideology in terse slogans – “Believe, Obey, Fight”, “Strength through joy”, “Work makes you free.”

g. Emotionally appealing. It is commonly observed that fascism was more a matter of the gut than of the head. Clearly those who joined fascist parties often did so from shrewd self-interest, but the same could be said of those who join any party. It was the emotional appeal of fascism – the notion that through sheer hope and force of will difficult and long-standing problems could easily be resolved – that set it apart. Triumph of the Will. This idea of course was not new and is still popular. The New Age doctrine of “Manifesting” holds that ideas firmly held will become reality. This doctrine appears in many forms – e.g. “The Power of Positive Thinking”, “The Law of Attraction”, “Change You can Believe in”. In its weak form it holds merely that positive thinking is more likely to achieve a result than negative thinking. Generally this form is harmless and often productive. In its strong form, it holds that positive thinking will in fact produce the intended result. In this form it is indistinguishable from magic.

h. Soteriology of national unity, immediate and direct resolution of problems, and intolerance for dissent.

i. National unity. This was a fixed core goal of fascism. It held that social conflict could be transcended through service to the nation-state as the embodiment of the will of the people. With all serving the same master, internal conflict would disappear and the people (with certain out-groups excluded of course) would achieve their destiny.

ii. Immediate and direct resolution of problems. This is often confounded with violence. Practically however it had more to do with cutting through red tape and taking shortcuts. Sometimes this involved squadrist violence, and sometimes it did not. It is important to realize that excessive bureaucratization and ineffective justice systems played a role in the rise of fascism. An example will be helpful.

(a) Shopkeeper sells wine to children. Fascist thugs beat up shopkeeper.

(b) Shopkeeper sells wine to children. He has bribed the police and nothing happens.

(d) Shopkeeper sells wine to children. The police arrest him, and he is promptly fined and imprisoned.

(e) Shopkeeper sells wine to children. He is cited and the case drags on for a year, ultimately disposed of with a plea to a lesser charge or a deferred prosecution agreement.

A person interested in doing substantial justice with proper safeguards for individual rights would choose scenario (d) as the most desirable. But if scenario (d) is not working, is scenario (a) worse than the remaining choices? At least with scenario (a) substantial justice is done. And these were the kinds of choices that fascists had to make. Direct action did achieve immediate results and contributed greatly to the popularity of fascism in its ascendant stages.

iii. Intolerance for dissent. It would be trivial to observe that since the fascist model required individuals to serve the nation-state as the embodiment of the popular will, and subordinate their interests to it, dissent would be unthinkable for any true believer. A stronger reason for suppressing dissent can be found in the emotional characteristics of fascism. Accepting that ideas firmly held become reality, a dissenter imperiled the collective spell, and dissent was seen as a species of malefic witchcraft.

B. Amateur Definitions of Fascism

Brief reference must be made to definitions of fascism offered in popular works intended for the mass market. These “definitions” are typically lists of attributes deemed to be essential characteristics of fascism. Invariably these lists contain attributes that are often found in non-fascist states, and the authors fail to distinguish fascism from simple authoritarianism, if indeed they even understand that distinction. Examples of authors offering these trivial analyses include Naomi Wolf, Lawrence Britt, Umberto Eco, and others. (I very much like Umberto Eco’s fiction but he is definitely not an analytical thinker.)

II. Avoiding Fascism

A. Maintain Order

Ensure that the people are secure in possession of their lives, liberty, and property. Locke had this one right. And as Jefferson observed, a government that does not ensure these things should be overthrown. Until a government can ensure a high degree of public order it has no business doing anything else. Pursuit of other objectives, however worthy, while public order is lacking will bring the government into contempt and require the people to seek security from vigilante and squadrist organizations. At that point the government is seen as a useless hindrance and fascism is imminent.

The major impediment to maintaining public order in the United States at this time (2008) is the judiciary, which has introduced so much procedural due process that bringing simple cases to trial can take months or years. A re-assessment of these archaic and inefficient procedures would be beneficial, and needs to be undertaken before a crisis exposes their weakness.

B. Compromise

Gandhi said that in his law practice he “strained every nerve to bring about a compromise,” and that “The true function of a lawyer was to unite parties riven asunder.” (Mohandas Gandhi, The Story of My Experiments with Truth, ch. 14). Gandhi saw compromise as a spiritual necessity.

The role of maximalism in the rise of fascism has been noted previously. The failure of left, right, and center to compromise and form coalitions weakened the governments of Italy, Germany, Austria, and other countries, promoting the rise of fascism.

Compromise requires intellectual honesty, a faculty often lacking on the right and left. It is necessary for the wise to broker compromises and “strain every nerve” to achieve them.

C. Remember that Law is Violence, and Use it Sparingly

Amateur commentators on fascism (Wolf, Britt, Eco et al.) fail to see that fascists did most of their work using the state’s monopoly on “legitimate” violence with nearly universal popular approbation. This included passing laws that controlled the most trivial aspects of human behavior, backed up by the traditional apparatus of police, courts, and prisons. In many cases considerable procedural due process existed, most notably in Italy, where the judicial machinery was largely untouched. But of course procedural due process used to enforce an unjust law does not yield justice.

The point here is this: if you think you are better than a fascist because you are passing laws to control people’s behavior in trivial and oppressive ways, instead of beating people up, well, you are wrong. The fascists did exactly the same thing. In fact, you are worse than a fascist, because you are too cowardly to do the dirty work yourself, and want to leave it to the police and the courts.

So unless you would be willing personally to use physical violence to enforce a law, knowing that you might be severely injured or killed while doing so, you have no business making such a law, and will only bring contempt upon yourself and the legislature if you do so. This of course is one reason the U.S. House and Senate are held in such low esteem – they are seen, with some accuracy, as a collection of ignorant, cowardly windbags hiding behind the state’s monopoly on violence. (This may seem harsh, but no reasonable person viewing the Congress of the United States in 2009 could possibly disagree with it.)

III. Fascist FAQ

A. Scope
This section addresses various questions received in emails, usually from readers who have read amateur definitions of fascism.

B. Didn’t Mussolini say Fascism was “rule by corporations”?

Yes, but he did not mean BUSINESS corporations, and he meant rule by means of corporations.

One means to achieving the fascist goal of transcendent unity was corporatism. In Italian Fascism, this involved a vertical reorganization of society into syndicates or “corporations” that grouped people by their field of endeavor, rejecting horizontal distinctions of management and labor. The initial organization, following the Rocco Law of 1926, “established syndicates of industry, agriculture, commerce, maritime and air transport, land and inland waterway transit and banking, with intellectuals and artisans being grouped in a seventh syndicate of their own.” (Bosworth, op.cit., 226)

Thus, when Mussolini referred to a “corporate state”, he meant organizing management and labor into syndicates under the thumb of the Duce. This was rule by means of corporations — an expedient but certainly not a defining characteristic of fascism.

No more need be said of this. Wikipedia has a decent concise article on Corporatism that will clarify proper usage of the term.

This confusion is not new. I remember when I was an undergraduate many years ago a student used the term “corporate state” in class, referring to some vague idea of a state in which business corporations run the show, and the professor, being an Oxford man, thought he was talking about Fascist corporatism. The confusion was soon resolved. But we are likely to see more of this now that the American education system has given up teaching history, philosophy, mathematics and so forth in favor of diversity studies and post-modernist literary criticism.

C. Can fascism be defined as radical anti-communism?

I guess, if you want to define Bolshevism as “radical anti-capitalism”. Seem like pretty impoverished definitions to me.

D. Why is your style irregular in its capitalization of “fascism”?
When used in reference to Italian Fascism the word is a proper noun. Otherwise it is not.

Imagine if massive new deposits of high grade iron ore, copper aluminium and tin were found in this country, there would be massive investments in new mines and the price of these metals would fall drastically.

Well there are massive resources of these metals in Britain, scrap which is sent to China as raw materials for their expanding industries. In effect this trade is the result of globalisation and is a reduction of our resource base.
Also exported are precious metals such as cobalt, much used in the electronics industries.

I believe we should ban the export of scrap metal and store it until the demand is there at home.
Many would say it would depress the price of scrap, and make recycling less profitable to local authorities and at first glance it would.
But thought through the savings would be immense.

No more thefts of manhole covers, cables or lead from roofs, nor even war memorials especially if dealers were under local authority control. No more electricity power cuts or train delays.
It is estimated that theft of metals costs the economy a billion per year.

If we could use genuine scrap to produce goods here industries would be rejuvenated and jobs created saving money now paid out in unemployment benefit.

I do not trust the present fiat money system which creates money out of thin air and lends it at high interest. This money does not really exist, but metals do.
They are raw materials for the manufacture of goods, as was shown in WW2 when all metal was recycled for reuse here and played a vital role in the war effort.

If we keep selling these resources and getting lines of biniary figures on a computer we are getting nothing in reality in return.

As a country we should start conserving "things" as opposed to money for when the value of "money" reaches its true worth, nothing, things will still have a value.

As a country we should not do as we did with North Sea Oil and sell it off cheap and now buy it dear.

I said it at the time and have been proved correct.

OUR COUNTRY SHOULD HOLD ON TO ITS TANGIBLE ASSETS, including scrap.

Everything else will be proved to be worthless.

Further to the previous article on racism there have been a multitude of so called racist incidents usually involving footballers, who, sensitive souls object and on on occasion be reduced to tears on account of being subject to an insult containing the word "black"

Aw diddums. These people are supposed to be sportsmen but are reduced to tears at the mention of their skin colour.

You can use any insult you like a fat thick ugly lazy bastard and although the insult is there unless you use the word "black" it is not a hate crime.
It seems these touchy people are only offended by mention of their skin colour.
They obviously have a massive chip about this aspect of their being.

If insults were thrown in my direction, and they have been, I would be more offended about the insult rather than any mention of my complexion., but in any case I would have to endure them.

I would have no redress in law.

You can mention Scouse gits, Cockney s**ts, tight fisted Yorkshire people or even Wigan woolly backs and fiery redheads without penalty. You can use the most insulting words in the language and it seems it is not a "hate crime" even though these insults are not used to those you like, but use the word "black" and you will have a visit from the police.

Thus to call an ethnic African black is the worst insult of all.

Why is this? Do they have an inferiority complex?

I suspect they do. They have much to feel inferior about.
Although at many sports blacks excel, in the intellectual stakes they are at the bottom of the pile in all nations.

In spite of its promotion there is no black history. There have been no sub Saharan civilisations whereas in all other continents there are the remains of great civilisations.

There are and never have been successful African states, let alone democracies.
Human knowledge has not been added to by Africans. Look at any scientific programme on television and note the Asians, Chinese, Japs and whites and the absence of blacks.
How many black professors are there?

Alone among races they demand "respect" but give us little to respect.

Diane Abbott blames colonialism for the state of Africa and its nations, but forgets that India and South East Asia were also colonised as was much of China.
They pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and are out competing us in many instances while Africa remains a cesspit of incompetence and corruption.

These race laws are being used by our evil state to disempower the British people by putting us at a disadvantage and suppressing our free speech, but whatever they do the majority of Brits do not welcome this invasion which has been encouraged in order to destroy our national identity even though we have to keep our mouths shut.

He runs a business consultancy - Tony Blair Associates - which has deals with the governments of Kuwait and Kazakhstan among others and is a paid adviser to JP Morgan, an American investment bank, and to Zurich International, a global insurance company based in Switzerland. Mr Blair makes a further £100,000 a time from speeches and lectures while also presiding over a number of charities including a faith foundation.

Mr Blair has previously been criticised for cashing in on contacts made in Downing Street and these accounts will likely add to those concerns.

The documents also reveal that in the two years until March 31 last year, Mr Blair’s management company had a total turnover of more than £20 million and paid tax of about £470,000.

STEPHEN LAWRENCE CASE. JUSTICE?

With the jailing of Dobson and Norris in the Lawrence case I had hoped this PC circus would have ended, but now it does not seem to be the case as the police will continue their "work" to convict even more of those originally accused.

I have to ask how many people does it take to stab someone?

I accept that the two convicted were two unsavoury thugs and the murder was horrific, but it does seem that if the victim had been white little would have been heard about it after the first innocent verdict.

Certainly seven hundred years of English law would not have been cast aside as happened with the new "double jeapordy" provision and £millions would not have been spent in police and legal expense if there had not been a political motive.

That motive has been to appease the PC multiculti brigade and help put at a disadvantage those of us (the majority I believe) who oppose this uninvited invasion.

Indeed the Mc Pherson report that the police are "institutionally racist" has been used as a stick against people of British stock.

He is right , the police are institutionally racist, or at least the police chiefs are, they are racist against us.

It is considered that racism can only be perpetrated by whites on blacks, and this is shown by the phrase "reverse racism", an oxymoron if ever there was one. It is interesting to contrast the prominence given to this victim with memorial buildings and plaques with that given to other victims, which demonstrates the politicising of certain crimes especially if the victim is black.

Racism is and always will be endemic when different races mix, it is a natural human reaction to the outsider however reprehensible.

BUT IT DOES CUT BOTH WAYS.

Stephen Lawrence was no angel, a bully, petty drug dealer by all accounts and a "Black Power" activist, hardly a portrayal of peace or wishing to live in harmony with the society in which his parents had inserted their family, to the disadvantage of the original inhabitants.

Murder is murder whoever the perpetrator or victim is and is equally to be deplored and race does not come in to it.

Making a white on black murder more of a crime will stoke resentment because of its unfairness.

And justice must be done impartially and seen to be done so.

I believe the authorities were determined to get a conviction and am sure the jury was selected carefully as a "wrong" verdict would have caused the usual riots and arson that people of African origin are prone to indulge in.

The verdict may have been correct, I don't know but the case was politicised from the start and because of that--

LEAVE THE GUN LAWS ALONE

The tragedy of the multiple shootings have brought out the inevitable kneejerk calls for tougher gun laws.

That people holding gun licences should be checked is common sense, but what about the more dangerous illegal guns used in far more murders such as that of the Indian student in Salford?
More draconian gun laws would have no effect and we are rapidly getting to the situation even now where the only people who have access to guns are the criminals.

And what about knives?

In our village 40 years ago a man killed his wife and children with a knife and strangled his mistress with a rope.
There was no call for a ban on knives or ropes, and indeed the majority of murders are committed with a knife or rope, should we ban these as well?

The talk in the papers illustrates how little media people know about the requirements needed to obtain a gun licence.

I know how the system works as I sign many gun and firearm certificates, unlike the "experts" in the media

A full medical history is needed for a firearm certificate (rifle) and any suicidal or other signs of mental instability and even marital disharmony preclude the issuance of such a certificate.
It is my job to unearth any dangers before signing them fit to have a rifle.

The killer in Peterlee had a firearms certificate (and shouldn't) but the weapon used was a shotgun, not a rifle, for which the rules are less draconian and a certificate easier to gain.

Long range,(up to a mile) rifles are far more dangerous than shotguns and they are rightly heavily controlled, but shotguns are safe at 150 yards but devastatingly lethal at short range.

Shotguns are an essential part of country life, without them farm crops would be devastated by crows and pigeons and many of the people who control these pests are welcomed by farmers on to their land.
Yes they get pleasure but they do a lot of good, but they are generally stable and law abiding or they wouldn't have got a certificate in the first place.

Unfortunately people sometimes do flip and tragedies occur but to ban all guns would deprive the vast majority of owners of pleasure and incur great losses in agricultural production.

And the criminals would still kill with their unlicenced guns and knives.

Leave the gun laws as they are, if mad men do not use them they will kill in other ways and those killed would be--

FRIENDS IN HIGH (AND LOW) PLACES

It's New Year's Eve again and we have the usual list of those deemed by the government worthy of "honours".
This charade is a demonstration of who the government holds in high regard and in so doing throws a spotlight on their values.

The knighthood "for services to the arts" bestowed on a man who reputably made £100 million betting on the downfall of Northern Rock (not a very productive way to make your money).
His half million donation to the Tory party was incidental and even though he has engaged in and represents the worst aspects of the corrupt banking system he is considered good enough to be knighted.

Then we have Gerald Ronson, a jailed thief and fraudster rehabilitated after his spell at Her Majesty's pleasure, for his work for charity, no doubt subsidised by the money he has creamed from the banking and property businesses to which he returned following his release.

People may remember his co defendant Guinness who developed Alzheimers in jail and was released early when he made a miraculous recovery, the first recorded instance of a cure for that disease.

Then we have the thug and ex drug dealer who received an award for not returning to his former criminal activities (yet) who also got an award, for being black I presume as I've heard of no young white ex thugs who have been so honoured, nor of the millions of people who have helped their communities without first becoming a criminal

Golfers and various arty farty people have received gongs but few people who have contributed anything to our nation have received anything.

If I was offered an honour I would decline it, not wanting to be associated with the sleazy business men, so called sportsmen or theatrical luvvies, not that I ever would be and nor would any true patriot. And that says it all. It shows the priorities of the ruling elites and they sure as hell are not the people who have contributed to our nation.

One exception I would is Jonathan Ive who played a big part in the development of the I pad and showed what British people can do. Unfortunately he had to use his talents in the USA and his brilliance did little to help Britain finacially, but he did contribute something to human knowledge and wellbeing, unlike many of the others who are just parasites.

The Tories have shown that they are in hock to the sleazy worlds of business and finance with token appeasement actions to blacks and sportsmen (golfers mainly, what does that say about them?) and luvvies. But Labour are no different and in the past have awarded gongs to people of dubious value and repute.

If the honours system is to be of any value the highest should be given to those who have built up MANUFACTURING and other businesses providing employment rather than taking them over, breaking them up and selling them to foreigners.
Other awards should recognise campaigners and workers who seek to improve the lot of the ordinary person and indeed some are awarded to such people, but these will be people who do not question the status quo or rock the boat.

It is obvious the biggest gongs are given to the powerful people in the finance, media and posh sports categories while lesser gongs are thrown out like the late dictator of Haiti, Papa Doc threw out money to his impoverished citizens to keep them quiet.

Our system is hardly less corrupt than his was.

I am sure you'll all agree that the senseless and unprovoked murder of Indian student Anuj Bidve, 23 in Salford on Boxing Day morning was a shocking act of inconceivable wanton violence of the very highest order and iterates just what our society has now become and how worthless someone's life is to others.

As we learn that the fifth person arrested in connection to the murder was from Leigh - we also understand that there is a £50,000 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer and in addition will also be treated by the GMP as a "hate" crime as explained here below:

WHY "DONATE"

Million young people unemployed "Donate" is the latest offering.
There are no important elections imminent and anyhow in the past local branches have paid their own expenses during election campaigns, we certainly did.

Not only that we have not had an audited summary of the BNP's accounts for several years let alone accounts for the Trafalgar Club.

SO WHY THESE NEVER ENDING REQUESTS FOR DONATIONS?

Andrew Bron's shadow "Ideas" and Brent group manage without continually asking for money.

If a conference is called expenses can be recouped by a door collection.
If a local campaign is needed the money can be raised locally as we have done often in the past.

Of course my question above is rhetorical. The debts of the party are astronomical and have not been incurred in the promotion of our cause, rather by mis management, idiotic legal cases and top officials living off the fat of their contributors.

HOW THE BNP HAS SUNK from the heady days when we thought we had made the breakthrough and were frightening the opposition.
Now they just ignore us.

Nick Griffin seems determined to hang on to his position in spite of his bringing the Party to its knees. He must be able to see the rapid decline just by looking at the membership figures, local activities or even the poor attendance at meetings and the annual conference.

We nationalists are intelligent enough to see through him and his deceit. I accept I for too long had rose covered glasses but over the last twelve months my eyes have been opened to the chicanery and lack of any semblance of democracy in the party.

As evidence of Nick Griffin's financial deviousness is the incident of the seizure of his car for non payment of debt. He said in a vain attempt to get away with it said the car was on loan from Ian Kitchen.
Common sense would indicate that an MEP with a large salary and expenses would not have had to "loan" a clapped out Skoda from a Party member (and a strange brand of car for a nationalist leader to use). He had the cash to buy any car he wanted (like his wife has done).

This deviousness reflects badly on the Party and those who can not see through it are either blind or stupid.

We desparately need a new nationalist vehicle, a united grouping of all the strands of our cause, putting aside irrelevent doctrinal differences in order to save our country.

I would suggest all patriots follow Andrew Brons's paralell party and the Brent group who are seeking to unite these strands.

Nick Griffin by his deceit and toxicity is beyond the Pale as are those associated with him. They are a hindrence to Nationalism.

However the spirit of burns brightly among millions of people, not just those normally associated with our cause and our job is to harness this as yet hidden support..
Without Griffin and his ilk we can do it.

Stories abound in the media today of crowds rushing out in to what has become a post Christmas tradition, the sales.
To my mind all this is an indication of collective madness or hysteria induced by subtle commercial programming. That it is so important to the shops to encourage this madness shows how much of a margin they usually make on their wares.

Now I am as keen on a bargain as anyone else but I was told by my mother many years ago that a "bargain" that you did not need was not a bargain, but expensive.

Many of the things bought in the sales consist of cheap Chinese crap which are completely un necessary to anybody's standard of living. There are I realise some shoppers from the Far East who crowd the London shops for luxury goods (which is code for extravagent) but these are mainly made abroad and apart from the shop's profits bring little in to our country.
It will be of little benefit to our manufacturing industry.

This seasonal madness does not benefit our country. It helps the shops but increases imports and does not in my opinion increase the total happiness of the people even when not bought on credit.
Unnecessary goods bought on credit bring the misery of a debt slave to those participating and only help shops, bankers and foreign manufacturers.

Next year will be hard for everybody as a result of excessive personal and government spending and we will need all we can save. Far better to reduce debts and save our money as the future looks bleak.

So I shall not be visiting the sales and thus not be tempted to waste my money. That will remain in my pocket, ready for a rainy day.

On that bleak note I hope all have had a happy Christmas and that we all will not be too hard hit next year by the looming economic turmoil.

Remember relationships with family and friends are more important than cheap (or dear) baubles and do not cost.

That there is a serious health problem with excessive alcohol drinking is well known and accepted and the authorities are seeking a solution.

I read and there does seem some truth in it that in the colder Northern parts of Europe alcoholism is more of a problem than in the warmer South. Whether this is genetic, environmental or social is arguable, or a combination of all three, but I do believe there is at least a genetic component as evidenced by my own family history. Several solutions have been put forward usually involving increasing the price of alcohol. Doctors in particular favour this tactic saying that an increase in the price and thus affordability would decrease consumption but then doctors can themselves afford to pay more.

Now if price were the main driver of consumption, alcohol problems would be greater in more wealthy people but the contrary is the case. Poorer people have more alcoholic problems than richer people.

So what to do?

I do not think an across the board price increase will make a discernable difference and will penalise poorer people who just want a cheap social drink and do not drink to excess. It is unjust and easy for affluent doctors to advocate as they would be unaffected by any rise.

Government advice on safe limits is a waste of time and encourages ridicule.

The question must be asked "why has the problem increased so much in recent years"? before a logical answer can be given.

I believe it is the increase of strong lagers, ciders and alcopops sold in supermarkets which encourage young people to drink to excess and not for the flavour of the drink. They drink to get drunk and not for the social pleasure or the taste of the drink. Much alcohol is consumed in city centre clubs where apart from "Happy hours" the drinks are extortionately dear. In addition drugs are often bought and taken at the same time, hardly a cheap option.

Alcoholics like other addicts will drink whatever the price and it is unjust that moderate social drinkers should be penalised with higher prices because of other's stupidity.

If drink becomes to dear people will again brew their own as Gorbachev found out in Russia.

Admittedly if there were no alcohol there would be fewer cases of liver damage but life devoid of this social lubricant would be much poorer. It is the abuse that is the trouble and the present seeming social acceptibility which is at fault.

Traditional pubs selling weaker better flavoured beer and other drinks should be encouraged through tax breaks and supermarkets selling high strength tasteless drinks taxed more heavily.

Advertising should also be curtailed.

This would achieve the preservation of our pubs, make our city centres safer and improve the health of the young people who have become to believe it is "cool" to be drunk.

Let the moderate social drinkers have their pleasure but penalise those whose excess causes trouble.

Must go and have my afternoon tipple now. A price rise will not deter me.

Emma West, the suspected tram racist, has been granted bail.

The decision was reached at a Croydon Crown Court hearing behind closed doors this morning.

Miss West is charged with a racially-aggravated public order offence after a video showing a woman abusing passengers on a Croydon tram was posted online on November 27.

The 34-year-old, from New Addington, had initially been denied bail at Croydon Magistrates' Court on December 6 and faced the prospect of spending Christmas behind bars.

She is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on January 3 for a committal hearing.

FOREIGNERS ATTACK CAROL SINGERS FOR CANCER CHARITY DUE TO CONGO ELECTION OUTCOME

Carol singers raising money for a cancer charity in Trafalgar Square were attacked by protesters during a night of disorder that saw 139 arrests.

Shops were attacked, passers-by threatened and car windows smashed during a demonstration in central London against the election result in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The carol concert was raising money for MacMillan Cancer Support. It was organised by a group of friends whose loved ones had been treated for cancer.

Masked teenage boys ‘stormed’ the singers, throwing bottles of water and hot drinks into the crowd. A woman in her 40s, said to be undergoing treatment for breast cancer, was pulled to the ground. A youth attempted to set light to the Christmas tree, an annual gift from the city of Oslo since 1947, one witness said.

“They were determined not to let us sing and have fun and utterly ruined the atmosphere. Have your protest and make your point, but why did you have to ruin a lovely occasion with your scuminess,” Mark Horton, a conductor of the choir, wrote in a message online. The concert was cut short amid safety concerns.

The attack was ‘egged on’ by teenage girls who screamed and shouted “like that of the possessed”, another witness said.

Police made 110 arrests for affray as fights broke out between demonstrators.

Other arrests were made for assaulting police officers, obstructing police and blocking a public highway. Police held demonstrators inside double decker buses before ferrying them to custody.

The demonstration began as an agreed ‘static’ protest in Whitehall on Saturday evening against the re-election of President Joseph Kabila, which international observers say “lacks credibility”.

The vast central African country has immense mineral wealth but has been ravaged by civil war, corruption and economic mismanagement. Protestors accuse Western governments of propping up the regime.

On Thursday a group of 200 Congo demonstrators forced the evacuation of Oxford Circus tube station, central London, after they set off a passenger alarm on an underground train.

HAS NICK LOST HIS MARBLES?

Has Nick Griffin completely lost his marbles?

Earlier this week he reported on the official website that the Russian elections were better run and fairer than ours.

Today hundreds of thousands of Russian people have been demonstrating against the unfairness in those elections.

Somebody must be wrong. It seems Nick is either gullible or is at ease with a system of a ruthless leader who will bend any rule to secure his continued power.

I accept that election practice in our country is flawed and corrupt especially in heavily ethnic areas aided by the postal voting system brought in by Labour in order to secure their re election.

As Nick rightly says, the media are uniformly against nationalist parties and use subterfuge to hinder and attempt to silence us.

But Putin has done the same.

Opposition media outlets have been silenced and their leaders arrested and positions of power given to Putin cronies, but after these elections declared fair and well run by Nick there have been protests.

There have been allegations that the results did not reflect the actual votes and some of the protests have we are told been because Putin after having installed a puppet Prime Minister Medeved decided he himself would be the president for another term. All opposition has been suppressed to ensure Putin's continued control.

because of the suppression of all opposition in the media in Russia as here the opposition has used the internet to spread their message and used it to good effect. Perhaps there are lessons for us here in this respect.

But does something sound familiar in all this? A leader, popular at first seeking to continue his position of power by undemocratic means. I don't suppose Putin had proxy votes but as the supreme leader of Russia he did not need them but his tactics for retaining power are little different than Griffin's.

Now I did like Putin. He has been a good nationalist leader, just as I liked Nick Griffin but this determination to cling on to power leaves a nasty taste just as Nick Griffin's similar actions do.

Both are undemocratic, even though they are both supposedlyn patriots.

The difference is that Nick Griffin's lies and cheating have not been countered by demonstrations as he has led the BNP into insignificance and terminal decline.

Why?

Because nobody cares. He has by his actions emasculated for now the nationalist cause (we will rise again under a new CLEAN united leader).

Good luck to the Russian demonstrators who risk a dank jail in their fight for a democratic voice, but shame on Nick Griffin for his endorsement of this corrupt election.

Much as I dislike Cameron I have to admit he did the right thing last night in not caveing in to the demands of the Euro countries dominated by Sarkozy and Merkel.

It means that he has protected an important part of our economy, the City of London which will help our future problems.

BUT Why has he stood his ground on this issue and this issue alone?

Why is banking so much more important than manufacturing industry to Cameron?

Simples. Because the bankers of the City of London finance the Tory Party and all Cameron's Eton friends "work" in the City.

I accept in the present situation the London Banking business is of great importance to our country, but so were other industries which were allowed to wither on the vine, indeed were in some cases sold off to foreign owners while Cameron's friends made their cut in the City.

I am pleased that we are somewhat separate from Europe because of Cameron's stance but it should not end there.

There are many rules eminating from the EU which are not covered by his decision and which surely need to be taken back to British sovereignty.

The people voted for a "Common Market" not rule by Europe.

It is said that we will have to re negotiate these rules which we did not vote for.

It is quite simple. We should take our democratic rights back unilaterally. Europe needs us more than we need them. We have a balance of trade deficit with Europe and if they imposed sanctions we could boycott their goods.

We are the customers and they must consider us. We have the clout.

But the main reason is that the Euro is a failed concept and will collapse soon so we are better out of it.

We should have the referendum Cameron promised.

Why will he not give it to us?

If he believes in democracy we should have it, but he won't give it to us because he knows the people want out.

He thinks he knows better than the people.

He may do but I doubt it.

A TALE OF TWO DAUGHTERS

I have two daughters, one working in the private sector and one in the public sector as a teacher.

The eldest, the teacher is good at her job I'm told but has the usual long holidays, job security and a good pension.

She was on strike today over pension entitlements even though she voted against striking, the school was closed.

The younger daughter works in private industry and although she has a good job it is not as well paid as her older sister.

She has been made redundant three times and now works for a German firm and if she is absent from work too much would be sacked. In the snow last year she walked 5 miles to work while the teacher daughter stayed at home because the school was closed, but got no thanks for it. In spite of her hard work her job is not secure especially in a financial downturn.

In other words one daughter has little job security, poor holiday entitlement and the prospect of a lower pension than the one who is a teacher. She also has to pay in her taxes to subsidise the teacher daughter (25% of council taxes go to pay for public service pensions) even though she is paid less than the teacher.

She also had to make arrangements for her children owing to the strike.

I have to admit the daughter who is a teacher is very against the strike but as the school is closed is obliged to be off.

The strikers are hitting people with poorer work and pension conditions than they have themselves in itself unfair.

So why the public sector strikes?

Because the workers in that sector will have to pay more than formerly agreed for their index linked pensions and work longer before they receive them. It is a worse deal than they had before and I can understand that they do not like this, but those pensions are heavily subsidised by the state, in other words NOW they get much more than they paid in.

I am all for a decent standard of living for pensioners but these public pensions are unaffordable and this largess of public money can not go on.I know the workers contribute a great deal of money to them but they get back far more.

The fact is there is not enough money to pay for the public service pensions, so whatever the unions say eventually when the money really does run out and the government can borrow no more the promise to pay these index linked pensions will be renaged on.

The whole pension system private and public is a giant Ponzi scheme. Pensions paid out now are paid out of present contributions.

Many people think that when they contribute to these schemes there is a big "pot of gold" waiting for them when they retire. There is no such pot. The money is not there but this fact has been disguised until now.

The workers in the public service are in effect paying a tax to the Chancellor to subsidise present pensions and for anybody younger than fifty there is no hope of a return on their money. Their contributions do not go in to their pension pots.

Private pension schemes are as bad with the pension advisors making more money out of contributions than the owners of those schemes, sometimes as much as 30%.

It supports a big industry in the City of London and is just a big con.

I believe young people should save themselves for their pensions with the money they would have otherwise paid into these schemes.

I realise that older public sector people such as me have benefitted by these schemes in the past but the glory days of big pensions are over and there is no hope of them continuing.

However the government should talk to the unions and lead by example.

We are all in it together they say.

Well they should take a pension cut as should anybody receiving a high public sector pension, judges, headmasters, senior policemen and doctors etc as the present system can not carry on.

I realise that there are many other things the government should do to curb expenditure, bankers bonuses, foreign aid etc but these are other matters.

The fact is

THE PRESENT SCHEME IS UNAFFORDABLE and striking will not improve matters.

Far better to opt out and save yourself rather than subsidising the exchequer or private funds.

The country is broke and you will never get your money back.

Record immigration expands population by quarter of a million

A total of 252,000 more migrants arrived in the UK than left in 2010 – the highest figure ever for a full calendar year.

It was due to a huge fall in the number of people emigrating, especially Britons who left at their lowest rate for more than a decade.

The world economic crisis was blamed for fewer people looking abroad for work and fewer Britons looking for a retirement in the sun.

Foreign students also arrived in the UK in record numbers while Eastern European workers are moving back to the UK at three times the rate they did at the height of the recession.

The figures are a major headache for David Cameron who has pledged to bring net migration down to the “tens of thousands”.

The Home Office last night insisted it was till too early to see the impact of planned measure to cut numbers and that more up to date provisional estimates suggest the trend is reversing.

However, some of the main drivers behind the figures are beyond the Government’s control, such as emigration and the flow of EU citizens.

Matt Cavanagh, associate director at the think thank IPPR, said: “Today’s figures remind us that it was a mistake for the Conservatives to choose “net immigration” for their overall political target.

“The figures confirm that net immigration in 2010 was the highest on record. Not because immigration is rising – as the ONS make clear, it has been stable since 2004 – but because emigration is falling.

“The government cannot control emigration – just like it cannot control immigration from the EU – so it ends up trying to clamp down even harder on those areas of immigration it can control.”

A total of 591,000 migrants arrived in the UK during 2010 while 339,000 left, according to the Office for National Statistics.

Britons made up 136,000 of those leaving, the lowest level since 1998. The number of people emigrating who are of retirement age has also fallen dramatically from 21,000 in 2005 to 6,000 last year, including a fall in retiring Britons from 16,000 to 4,000 over the period

Related figures showed the number of people leaving for work purposes in the year up to March 2011 was 174,000, the lowest level in five years.

Previously popular emigration destinations such as France, Spain and Australia have all seen falls.

The trend reinforces claims that fewer Britons are retiring to southern Europe because the exchange rate with the euro is so low while fewer people are looking for work overseas because of the dire global economic conditions.

In a further blow for ministers, a record 238,000 long term students arrived last year.

And the net inflow of Eastern Europeans workers from Poland and other countries who joined the EU in 2004 has trebled from 16,000 in 2008 to 49,000 last year.

Sir Andrew Green, the chairman of pressure group Migration Watch UK, said: "At over a quarter of a million in 2010, net migration was the highest it has ever been. It was more than five times the level of 1997, when Labour came to power.

"It is absolutely vital to get this down to less than 40,000 if we are to keep our population below 70 million."

UK Independence Party home affairs spokesman Gerard Batten MEP said: "The Government has to own up. It hasn't a clue how to deal with the problem, and it has to be honest that whilst our migration and asylum rules are set in Brussels it will never have the power to control it."

The net migration figure was the highest for a calendar year although the level for the 12 months to September 2010 was higher at 255,000.

The Home Office last night leapt on separate, provisional figures that showed net migration in the 12 months to March this year showed a fall to 245,000.

Damian Green, the immigration minister, said: “The latest net migration figures are also encouraging, showing a fall since the recent peak in September 2010, but we are clear there is much more to be done."

Downing Street said Prime Minister David Cameron remained committed to reducing immigration from the hundreds of thousands to the tens of thousands.

Asked whether he thought it could be done, Mr Cameron's official spokesman said: "Yes, he does, but clearly that process is going to take some time."

PROGRESS. A RAPIDLY GROWING PARTY?

Over the last couple of weeks I have searched the main BNP website in order to keep up to date with the activities and progress of "Britain's fastest growing political party", but in vain.

There have been no new articles for two weeks.
Perhaps it is because the writers of the articles are busy signing up new members or taking the message further afield.

I would however have thought to have heard of some activities local to me. In the past there were frequent meetings and I was often spoilt for choice.
It seems others are also in the dark as I get frequent phone calls asking what is going on and unfortunately I have to confirm I know nothing. This seems surprising in such a rapidly growing party. It would be nice if I or other members could be kept abreast of the activities and the rapid progress in our fortunes.

In desperation I looked at the "Cumbrian Patriot blog" run by Clive Jefferson and found that there had been no articles for six months.

Now I know Clive is a very busy man filling a multitude of roles in the Party from Elections officer to Treasurer, not to mention his arduous duties as a parish councillor and must be hard pressed to write articles for his blog.
I feel however he should delegate his blog writing to someone else, for how else are we to know of the progress made?

So Nick and Clive, do not let modesty get in your way. Let the people know what you are up to. Broadcast it to the nation and afterwards relax in the knowledge that others can see these and the warm glow of pride in a job well done.

I appreciate the work you have to do, the sackings, expulsions, court cases and financial worries may leave little time but can you not give members some indication of the rapid progress you have made so we may brag about it together.

MORE ECONOMIC MADNESS

The latest government scheme to stimulate the economy and solve the housing problem demonstrates their lack of economic knowledge.
The idea that to help first time buyers with their deposits by guaranteeing most of the amount will make buying a house easier is madness.
The cause of the present high house prices was that borrowing too much too easily caused a boom in those prices.

I know a high deposit is hard to save for but if this is made easier house prices will go up by an equivalent amount as more people take advantage of the seemingly favourable terms and rush to buy.
This will help nobody least of all those young people tempted by this seemingly good offer as they will end up paying a much higher mortgage. If in the meantime interest rates go up they would become unable to keep up the mortgage payments and be repossessed. It would be a repeat of the sub prime disaster in the USA.

The government it seems not to have learnt from this recent lesson in economic madness.
Continuing in this cycle of madness, after enough people had joined this band wagon causing a temporary rise in prices when the inevitable slump came many would be in negative equity.
Of course the banks and builders would benefit from this temporary boom but the price would be paid by those conned into buying at a time when prices are higher than what is sustainable in the long term.

Of course there is a severe house shortage as there is bound to be with 500,000 extra people entering the country each year.
That is what prices the young people out of houses, a shortage caused by immigration.
There is a shortage of council accomodation as well. The government idea is to continue the Thatcherite idea of selling public housing to tenants at knock down prices and using the money to build fewer houses elsewhere.

I have always been against selling council houses off. They were originally built to serve a social need, housing for those who were unable to afford to buy. Now it seems they are increasingly allocated to immigrants.
These houses were originally built with the taxes of the British people and should be reserved for the poorer BRITISH PEOPLE.
They should not be sold off, least of all to those people from abroad who have jumped the queue to gain social housing.

A simple way of solving some of the problems would be to reserve social housing (and housing benefit) for those of British stock. If that were done there would be houses enough for all British people, and it would encourage alien people to return to their own countries.
It would also reduce the cost of mortgages, rents and the price of houses, to the benefit of all apart from those who paid too much for their properties and speculators in the housing market.
It would also reduce the need for taxes as rents could be lower and thus housing benefits.

It won't happen of course as the government is in hock to the building industry and the immigrant "communities"which supply them with the cheap foreign labour to the detriment of our own youth.

But just say it did.

We could then have cheaper houses for OUR young people, more jobs and relieve our countryside from the danger of being completely built over.

If the value of the properties owned by my generation fell they would be just as liveable and be a small price to pay for the future of our descendants who it seems are now destined to a life of unemployment and unable to afford a family while immigrants occupy the social housing stock and use this asset to achieve race replacement by out breeding us.

Common sense Nationalist economics I think.

Our "leaders" for the most part studied "Politics, Philosophy and Economics at university.
Either they had poor teachers or were poor learners as their politics has been shown to be a failure (the EU project) philosophy(destroy the British people?,foreign wars?) or economics (massive debts).

We are ruled by incompetents who mostly have never worked with real people in the real world and know nothing of the subjects they were so expensively subsidised to learn.
That Cameron knew so little about life was shown yesterday when he walked round a building site in his specially provided boots with his trousers outside them.

Our leaders are fools but so are those who voted for them.

When will the people learn?

HOPE FOR A EURO COLLAPSE

As the Euro crisis deepens, hastening to its inevitable, and to most in our country welcome demise those in control desperately try to keep the show on the road at any price.
Unelected bureaucrats have been imposed on the peoples of Greece and Italy and only time will tell whether the people will put up with the measures prescribed.
Stock markets are falling and bond rates are rising, both indicative of a lack in confidence in the whole concept (or a ploy by bankers to cause further assaults on democracy)

Some were shocked at the imposition of unelected leaders to Greece and Italy, without realising that the European Community is run by unelected behind the scenes bureaucrats.
The EU Parliament makes resolutions but has no effective power. That is exerted by the unelected "Commission". Not exactly democracy, but then it is little different from the situation here when Cameron renages on his promise for a referendum, cuts in immigration and unsuitable and unelected people given power,("Baronesses" Warsi and Ashton for ecample)

The justification for this stealthy and massive retreat from democracy is that these people know better than the average pleb.
Well on past form those now ruling us have not acqitted themselves very well as they designed the obviously failed concept of the Euro and cooked the books to allow Greece to enter the Euro zone. It is ironic that the man who committed this fraud now runs Greece.

Democracy is a concept our people hold dear, have fought for and will not give up easily. We were ruled by kings and dictators in the past but nowadays it is bankers.

The will of the people they say is often wrong and dictatorships can be more efficient and get things done. What the people want is not always in the best interest of the country they say.
That is no doubt true sometimes in the short term until the inevitable corruption takes over, but do our so called leaders expect us to believe that our countries and lives will be run in our interests rather than the bankers who rule us now?

And don't think dictatorship by bankers is more benign than those of former Communist or Fascist dictators. Many of the recent wars have had banking advantages as a motive.

Cameron said last week that if we left the EU we would end up like Norway.
Well that's the best reason for leaving, as Norway has a high standard of living and a budget surplus owing to its gas, oil, hydroelectric and fish resources, the latter saved from over exploitation by its freedom from the EU.
Does Cameron really believe Norway is at a disadvantage, or Switzerland, a country which decides its future by referenda?

Cameron has shown himself as much a traitor and in hock to the NWO as his Labour predecessors and the Europhiles in his own party who, with the complicity of the bankers are presiding at the ruin of not only this country but Europe as a whole.

The Eurocrats have mixed our populations in order to dilute national solidarity and opposition to the injustices now being perpetrated on us. The multi culti mix will make a "peasant revolt" harder to sustain.

When the iniquitous Euro project does collapse it will be hard for all Europeans, but with luck we will be able to unite with the people of those countries to take them back, and

PUNISH THOSE WHO BETRAYED US by taking our peoples into a system destined to fail and against our interests.

BBC's biased reporting of Global Warming - the consequences

The debate about Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) rages within the blogosphere, but not in the U.K. mainstream media, which is led by the leftwing newspaper The Guardian and the BBC.

In Britain the BBC wields more power to shape public opinion than any other organisation over any other nation on earth. Moreover, the BBC invariably takes its cue on the big issues from The Guardian, from which it stands accused of adopting its political outlook.

Consequently the BBC has relentlessly promoted one side of the argument whilst suppressing the other, with catastrophic consequences for the nation's governance.

There is however a significant fact-based scientific consensus that argues against the theory that man has had, or is having, any significant impact on the climate.

These scientists cite the fact that past rises in global temperate predated the atmospheric rises in CO2; that the past rises in CO2 were actually a product of temperature rise, not their cause; and that the temperature rises were actually a product of increased solar activity.

It is, however, a side of the debate that the BBC refuses to air, contrary to its lawful obligations.

This twelve-minute video introduces the style in which the BBC covers the warming debate, followed by a selection of clips featuring renowned scientists whom the BBC freezes out, delivering the arguments that the BBC refuses to air.

The final four minutes introduces a major story of Press criminality, which for the last thirteen years the BBC and the rest of the media have suppressed.

A MOUNTAIN OUT OF A BLACK MOLE HILL

Being a true Wiganer I have little interest in soccer, preferring the real game for men Rugby League where diving is non existant and men are really men.
Other "sports" such as tennis , OK for soft public school people like Cameron, Clegg and Blair also do not interest me and I speak rarely about any of these activities.
However in the press and television today there seems nothing else apart from the "racist" aspects of soccer.
Sepp Blatter has been accused of "racism" by saying that players should shake hands and make up if a naughty racist word has been uttered in the heat of a match.
What's wrong in that?
A South African official, I can't remember his name has said John Terry should not captain England after some remark he made, and the Bulgarian FA have been fined because some of their fans have shouted racist words.
It has been noticed that other European countries do not follow the "Kick racism out of football" concept to the letter as we do in our country.

It is true that insulting comments (only to a black player) will in this country possibly get you a jail sentence but this does not apply to other European countries YET.

The fact that English fans have to keep their mouths shut does not mean they welcome African players any more than fans in other countries.

The black "English" players (an oxymoron if ever there was one) have threatened to strike.
Let them.
We should be represented by English players and if African players are good they should play for African countries who would then possibly do well.
They would however have to be good to beat the German side as they train hard but if they do, good luck to them.

No doubt they would do well as they are without doubt generally good athletes, and they seem to be very touchy, but they have a lot to be touchy about and that probably explains it.
Apart from their athletic and musical ability Africans seem, as judged by the past achieved little in such fields as science or any intellectual persutes.
In all societies they are at the bottom of the pile and that is not the fault of English "racists". So whose fault is it?

No one denies they are great runners and sportsmen but they are not European and the people of Europe resent their presence in large numbers here however good they are at these non academic spheres.

It is known that there is much anti white racism in Africa but that is never mentioned.
Gagging the European people will not stifle their resentment, it will stay hidden because of the law but it will remain.

I resent my town being increasingly infiltrated by these people just as Africans resent us in their failed continent, but unlike them I dare not say anything.
I was brought up to believe in the free speech, hard won by our ancestors which it seems is now being taken away from us.
Insults I admit are unpleasant but how many of us have not been mocked over our place of birth or accent, but we have put up with it.

The old saying "sticks and stones don't break my bones" is still valid today in my opinion, and all should accept it.

Those who can not have a chip on their shoulders and to make a song and dance about of it indicates that perhaps the insults are deserved.
These insults in the heat of the moment are no more racist than the call in Africa for "whitey" to get out of Africa, so grow up and don't let it bother you.

BTW I will not get out of Africa as I will never set foot in that failed continent.

Mystery Radiation Detected 'Across Europe'

The hunt is on for the source of low level radiation detected in the atmosphere "across Europe" over the past weeks, nuclear officials said today.

Trace amounts of iodine-131, a type of radiation created during the operation of nuclear reactors or in the detonation of a nuclear weapon, were detected as early as three weeks ago by Austrian authorities and then two weeks ago by the Czech Republic's State Office for Nuclear Safety. Today the International Atomic Energy Agency released a statement revealing similar detections had been made "in other locations across Europe."

The IAEA said the current levels of iodine-131 are far too low to warrant a public health risk, but the agency still does not know the origin of the apparent leak and an official with the agency would not say where else it has been detected. Considering iodine-131 has a radioactive decay half-life of about eight days, continued detection means the leak occurred over a period of several days at least and is possibly ongoing.

The IAEA said it does not believe the radiation was left over from the nuclear disaster at Japan's Fukushima Daiichi plant in March and the Czech Republic's State Office for Nuclear Safety said it was unlikely to have been caused by an incident at any nuclear plant's core. A meltdown there, the Czech agency said, would have released several other radioactive isotopes in addition to iodine-131.

The IAEA has been unable to determine from which country the radiation is emanating, and both Czech and Austrian officials said it was unlikely their countries were the source. Austrian officials said in a statement that a study of the dispersal cloud indicated the radiation is most likely coming from somewhere in southeastern Europe.

In addition to nuclear plants, iodine-131 is used in many hospitals and by radiopharmacutical manufacturers as it can be used to help treat thyroid problems in small doses.

"Anywhere spent nuclear fuel is handled, there is a chance that... iodine-131 will escape into the environment," the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says on its website.

Military bands to return after bomber's £2m last request

The former elite bomber pilot, who flew a De Havilland Mosquito for a Pathfinder squadron, loved to hear performances at the Victorian bandstand in Mesnes Park, Wigan as a boy.

But his home-made will left such vague instructions that it took a lengthy High Court debate to clarify his exact wishes after he died childless aged 91 three years ago.

Yesterday, a High Court judge finally gave a ruling that met the dying wishes of the popular veteran and finalised an agreement between Mr Higham's family and the Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust.

It means the Trust will now use the interest from the £2 million gift to fund at least two performances by military bands each year.

Before his death, Mr Higham, who was known as Billy, signed the will dividing his £7 million fortune between relatives and the Trust.

The handsigned will read: "I leave to Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust the sum of Two Million Pounds less the amount already donated over the last few years [ ...] to be invested and the income of which is to be used for the playing of Military bands (Royal Air Force, Royal Marines, Army etc) in Mesnes Park Wigan.

"My trustees to ensure that my wishes in this matter are followed, and that they are fulfilled. Failure by the Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust to guarantee the provision of military bands in Mesnes Park Wigan would mean the return of these funds into my estate."

But the will was never formally completed by a solicitor and remained in its original handwritten form.

His nephew, John Higham, said his uncle's family home had been next to the park where he would hear the bands play every Sunday.

"He said it was traditional for them to have military bands in Wigan," Mr Higham told The Daily Telegraph.

"It was stopped for budgetary reasons but he always said there was no reason for there not to be military bands in Wigan park.

"He used to say, 'I'm going to leave some money for bands' but he said to me, 'it's got to be for military bands and/or brass bands.'"

Mr Higham flew Sunderland and Lancaster bombers for the RAF at the beginning of the war and later became a Mosquito pilot, joining the daring raids in Germany.

Mosquito planes, known as Mossies, were light aircrafts that were flown at low altitudes to attack specific targets in order to guide nightly raids.

They required great skill from the pilot to fly so low at very high speeds to drop flares and light up targets for larger bombers.

After leaving the air force, Mr Higham took over the family floristry business, which is still going strong today.

The veteran retired to Cornwall, where he died in 2008 with an estate that included paintings by his friend and artist James Lawrence Isherwood.

"He's done well for himself and at the end of his life, he wanted to return a bit for Wigan," his nephew added.

"There were six brothers altogether and they all served in the war. Billy said he didn't want it in memory of him, he wanted it in memory of the Higham brothers of Wigan.

"I hope we can arrange for a Lancaster bomber to come flying over, in memory of Billy."

Stuart Murray, chief executive of Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust, which manages the park on behalf of Wigan Council, said: "We're delighted with this generous bequest.

"April 2012 will mark the end of Phase One of a multi-million pound restoration scheme and the newly refurbished bandstand will serve as a perfect location for Military Bands performing in-line with Mr Higham's wishes.

"His legacy will ensure that many thousands of people will be able to enjoy live music in this wonderful park."

Rules of the Trust:

1. Wigan shall put on military bands at Mesnes Park on not less than two occasions each year unless due to circumstances of force majeure.

Dominating the headlines on the tv today we have the murder of the black power activist Stephen Lawrence. Murder for whatever reason is indefensible but this murder was "racist".

I'm not sure if you are murdered whether somebody said something nasty to you or not would make much difference but it seems it does.
I do not propose to put his photo on this blog, you have seen it many times in the papers, cropped of his "Black Power" fist and in any case I don't want to put you off your tea.

This case was only persued by the Daily Mail because the editor Paul Dacre had Lawrence senior to do some plastering for him. Not only that after the case the law was changed so that "double jeapordy" would be allowed that is a person could be tried a second time even if acquitted the first time.
The State have been determined to get a conviction for this case.
That is not to say the alleged perpetrators of this murder are decent people, (I nearly said whiter than white but you know what I mean), I don't know if they are or not.

It is said that the killers "swallowed" him.
Now that is an interesting statement in comparison to Charlene Downes who WAS swallowed after being made into kebabs. The police had evidence but for some reason failed to make it through the courts and convict the perpetrators possibly in order not to inflame "community relations".

But then this was not a racist murder so even though it is expected she was eaten it was not as serious as that of Lawrence who it is alleged as he was killed was called a black bastard or some other disallowed name, in spite of the fact that he was black and could well looking at his Black Power pose be a bastard.

Of course Charlene was killed with no independent witnesses present and possibly? no racist comments made but the fact remains that she was never seen again after visiting the kebab shop and in any case there are few prosecutions of aliens when acting in or saying racist comments.
Murder is murder whatever is said at the time and should be punished severely but one does wonder if the victim had been white whether such a fuss would have been made.

No such long standing campaign has been made by the press about Charlene Downes. Why?.
Is it because she was white?

Also Kris Donald brutally tortured before being set on fire did not grab the headlines as "Black Power"Lawrence's case did.
His parents have seemingly never been out of the papers, I am, although sympathetic to them at having lost a son am sick of looking at them.
It seems they revel in the publicity.
How many murders of black kids have there been since, mostly at the hands of other blacks.

Do these kids not count?
Evidently not, as a racial element can not be brought in and so the families of these kids suffer in silence with no publicity as there is no whitey to blame even though they are just as dead.

The Lawrence family, possibly willingly are being used by the State and media and the Equalities Commission to promote their anti British agenda.
I don't blame them for that, they have lost a son but they seen to revel in the publicity generated.
BUT justice should be equal for all even white victims.

The European shambles continues with the leaders of that delusional and failed concept doing everything to save it.
Greece has a new Prime Minister and Italy is soon to get one, both of them bankers imposed by the ECB.
Von Rumpoy has said that the situation should not be decided by democracy, a statement which betrays his undemocratic totalitarian beliefs.
So now two countries of Southern Europe are now run by unelected bankers. The justification is the mess the politicians have made and there is some sense in that.

But the mistakes or plans of the politicians were in the concept of the EU in the first place, putting different countries, societies and cultures under one umbrella in a "one size fits all " association.
But a one size fits all organisation does not fit all as anyone with an ounce of sense can see especially now, but the European Central Bank and the Eurocrats are now engaged in a scheme to displace democracy to achieve their desired plan.
That unelected bankers are now the leaders of two countries shows where the power is.
It is said that the bond interest rate has made this necessary (I don't know enough about finance to know the ins and outs of this) but it does seem interest rates play a big part of all this.

I agree many European politicians have been profligate with their finances
but the economists have not exactly covered themselves in glory with bank bailouts and collapses but now it seems these "experts" have been imposed on countries in undemocratic fashion to sort them out.

So both politicians and economists/bankers have messed up the European finances BUT the politicians have a democratic mandate, people have voted for them and can vote them out.
Can they vote out these imposed technocrats? If not, where is democracy?

I do not believe it is a good thing to default on debts but countries could repay the money owed without the interest payments which are the real crippling factor. Without these weights around our necks paid to wealthy and possibly subsidised bankers I believe the debts could be paid more easily to the benefit of the people.

I don't, in view of the undemocratic impositions of bankers to rule countries believe this will happen as it has shown who is really in charge, and it's not the people.
Hopefully they will not accept the "remedies" to be imposed on them and rebel and ask to exit the EU and-- with luck

I read tonight that several EDL have been arrested IN CASE they cause a breach of the peace.
Muslims were warned not to disrupt the armistice day proceedings and it seems have not done so, but the EDL people who would NEVER desecrate the memories of our fallen soldiers were arrested wholesale for behaviour they had not engaged in. THEY HAD DONE NOTHING.

I notice the soft touch the police take with students who campaign with violence and desecrate our centoaph as well as muslim protests but as soon as English people gather there are wholesale arrests before any violence or protests have been made, if indeed that was the plan.
What does this demonstrate?
It demonstrates the growing fear of the English voice rising and the authorities are desperate to snuff it out.

The politicised police by their unjust, undemocratic actions have further enraged the English people and they will retaliate in the name of our country against our traitors of political leaders who hve sold our country out to the banks and the muslim colonisers.
It's strange the police run away from the unwanted aliens in our midst but come down hard on our people.

When have our people caused violence or arson or looting.
NEVER, but they are arrested.
There is a head of steam rising among the disenfranchised English people against the injustice at being second class citizens in our own country, and the authorities know and fear that, hence these arrests.
They will not win as each unjustified assault on our rights gains more support for the EDL's cause.
I wish I was young enough to join them.

They are the footsoldiers of our people and their cause is our cause.
With luck a "peasants revolt" will knock some sense into those who undemocratically rule us.

A NON VIOLENT RESPONSE TO POPPY BURNING.

It sems that the ugly muslim Choudary and his equally ugly alien friends intend to repeat their burning of poppies at this years armistice commemoration.
Presumably the £50 fine was not enough to dissuade him and his followers.
The poppy is for all true British people, a sacred symbol of thanks to our fallen soldiers who paid the ultimate price in preserving our freedoms.We owe it to these fallen heroes to remember their sacrifice and to defile this symbol is sacrelidge.

Recently barbaric aliens have been allowed in to our country and have used our hard won freedoms to attack and undermine our nation.The authorities seem paralysed or more likely complicit in ths insult.

I do not of course advocate violent action or conflict to combat this insult to our sensibilities, but perhaps an insult in kind to be enacted if and when a poppy burning should occur.
You can not protest that these muslims are ugly, a look in the mirror must surely have told them that, nor can you mention race except to denigrate true Britons.

So what could we do as a peaceful protest to counter their sacrelidge? Let's think. Perhaps burning or otherwise destroying a foreign object, say a book that is written in an alien script, or a cartoon picture of someone they hold in high regard. That would be a non violent way to show our displeasure.
This would be a legitimate response to their insults. Insult them back.
It would be interesting to see the response of the police if this was to happen. It would show whether they really are OUR police or agents of alien forces.

We will have to wait and see what happens.

Sarkozy tells Obama that the Israeli prime minister is a liar. So far so understandable, all politicians are liars.
But then Obama replies I have to deal with him every day and you don't.

So what does that tell us?
The president of a country of 300 million people has to speak and take into consideration the views of Netanyahu(or watever his name is) the leader of a country of just 6 million people.
Why?
Is this not a case of the tail wagging the dog? It looks like it.
Why is the leader of Israel so important and influential in American politics?

Of course the answer is obvious.
The Jewish lobby wield far more influence in American politics than their numbers in America justify, but then they have the money and the media on their side (how they gained this excessive advantage is another matter which I will not discuss now).

However the Israeli government is now engaged in sabre rattling over the alleged Iranian atomic programme, and are determined to stop it even by act of war.
No mention that they have atomic weapons against UN resolutions, that seems OK to them and the Americans.

Now I detest the Iranian regime and its cruel and hard line muslim actions and its reputation is not enhanced by threats to Israel but some of these are in answer to Israeli aggressiveness against Palestinians.
Whatever, the problem is not ours and if we keep our nose out of it we can let them fight it out themselves and I don't really care who wins. They are both as bad as each other.

What DOES bother me is that Cameron now says he will back America and Israel in any conflict in that region.
Our armed forces are a shadow of what they should be and should only be deployed in our defence and not be involved in wars waged by aggressive nations in the middle east whatever the Zionist neo cons of the USA think.
We are in effect being used and put at risk by these people, again with no mandate from the British people.
This will inevitably bring reprisals against British people by the fifth column of fanatical muslims our governments have allowed to enter our country.

Whether they knock seven bells out of each other is none of our business and I have little concern who wins any contest.

BACK AGAIN. COMMENTS ON THE EU FIASCO

As my medical and computer trubulations have subsided I now feel able to resume my comments on this blog.
I have felt too exhausted by the results of my operation to gather my thoughts till now, in spite of the tribulations of the EU and Greek fiasco which were easily forecast as inevitable.

I stated in a previous blog that if I were Greek I would move my money out of that country or put it in gold and that it seems is what happened.
In the last two months ago 20 billion Euros have been withdrawn from Greek banks and the total this year is over 65 billion.

The horror of Sarkozy and Merkel to the possibility of a referendum to give the Greek people a chance to say whether they wanted to accept the terms shows the democratic deficit in the EU, and indeed our own country.
The question which was to be put to the Greek people was not whether to exit the EU but whether to accept the austerity ordered by the EU bankers. It was well known that AS YET the majority of Greeks would vote to stay in the EU. In other words it was just to give them a say over their livelyhoods an idea which is anathema to the rulers of the EU project.

While I accept that if the EU has to lend money to Greece there must be conditions but it should be up to the people whether they accept those conditions.

Now Italy is in the fireing line and officials from the EU are there looking into Italy's finances, worried whether that country will not be able to pay its debts which dwarf those of Greece.
Interest rates are rising for their debts making them unpayable without "growth" which will be hard to achieve.
In any case we can not grow for ever in a finite world and that growth is only to finance the interest imposed by the banks.

The common thread which links these two countries as well as Ireland and Portugal and possibily France if Italy fails is the attacks on their finances by international bankers.
These overpowerful people with the connivance of the rulers of Europe and the world leech off the productive citizens of the world and are impoverishing them.

The future for the European people will be hard but we will have to pay a price sooner or later with our standards of living. The longer we let this banking cancer fester the worse it will get. If we rid ourselves of this banking stranglehold and it brings down the EU it although hard will weaken the march to the global state envisioned for us.

Like the World wars it will be a price worth paying if in the end the people have a say in their destiny and a system of REAL democracy arises.
Yes the will of the people is sometimes confused inefficient and even at times wrong, but it could hardly be worse than what has been done supposedly in our name in the last 50 years.

In any case it may not be as bad as suggested as we would be freed from subsidising the banks and the EU politbureau.

There will be no wars as a result of the financial and political collapse but there could be "peasant revolts" all over Europe and it will be those politicians and financiers who have caused this mess who will be advised to avoid lamp posts.
Of course the deliberate contamination of our continent with millions of aliens could be a ploy to cause disunity among the peasants and save the leaders, but it is not as yet to late to take our countries back.

The indiginous Europeans do not want to fight each other and they never have or will. They want freedom from this political elite and their financial allies, and with luck we will get it.

CONGRATULATIONS TO GREECE

Congratulations to the Prime Minister of Greece in offering a referendum on the EU or the punitive terms of the so called rescue of the Greek economy.
At least he is offering the Greek people a say on the way their country is run.
I know the Greeks and other European peoples wish to run their own countries in their own way under their own rules and not dictated to by the bureaucrats and bankers of the EUSSR.

A Greek exit from the Euro will cause hardship but that currency and idea is destined to fail in any case and all will suffer including us who are not even in this web of deceit.

There are the shoots of democracy in Europe and the southern Europeans, being more volatile take to the streets more readily when oppressed in the cause of democracy. This latter concept has been lacking in Europe for the past forty years with more powers taken from elected representitives to the unelected EU bureaucrats.
Our MPs with a few honourable exceptions have been hoodwinked or bribed into believing in this untenable concept and with luck will get their come uppance soon.

The unimaginable sums supposedly owed do not exist. They are just lines of computer jargon, created out of thin air by the bankers who then charge interest on them condemning millions to poverty.

Now back to Greece.

The "experts" say that if Greece goes back to the Drachma nobody will trade with them as it is not backed by assets. They say Greece will not be able to buy essentials such as oil and food.

Do they think the Greeks are thick? Do they think they have wasted all this money they have had out of the EU and spent it?. Do they think the Greeks did not see this coming?.
What do you think they did with the money they were supposed to pay in taxes to support the banks but witheld?
They converted it into solid assets such as property and gold and hidden it.
I believe Greece has a lot of money which they have decided they will not give to the EU and the banks and underneath all this are quite wealthy as a nation.
If I were a Greek a year ago that is what I would have done, taken my money and put it in tangible assets and I am sure many Greeks have done the same now.

There is enough capital in Greece to start again with the Drachma.

So the Greeks in striking a blow for democracy will with luck begin to destroy the Orwellian EU concept and we will be able to look forward to a continent of friendly nations unconstrained by the banks and commisars of Brussells.

The people will not fight each other, only their treacherous rulers.

NOT THE DOCTOR'S JOB

The news that the government is insisting that GPs encourage people on long term sick benefit troubles me for several reasons.

As an ex GP I had to dissuade far more people from working than the other way round.
Nowadays perhaps there is a perverse incentive for people who are unemployed to register as sick as to do so brings more in the way of benefits. In addition there are fewer jobs and those available so low paid as a result of competition from Eastern European workers living ten to a house making it impossible for a British worker to keep his household going on the wages offered.

The new instruction also supposes that most GPs do not encourage their patients back to work.
GPs already do this.

Many of those off sick are the result of the decimation of heavy industry and the jobs on offer are more of a clerical or scientific nature which their previous work did not prepare them.

If you are thrown out of a factory job at the age of 50 as a result of the business being moved abroad you are unlikely to be able to land a job paying a living wage. In other words many who have tired their bodies out with heavy but not very intellectual requirements are being asked to compete with fit young Poles who are well educated and computer literate.
You can not really ask our people to learn a new trade at 50 or do heavy work with their already abused bodies. These older people, prone to disease have paid in to the system while working and are less able to cope with any work available.

A GPs job is dependent on a good relationship with his patients and this new "advice" hinders that relationship. It would encourage the doctor to label their patients as workshy. In addition the doctor would take responsibility if the diagnosis was wrong and could end up in court if for instance a patient died after being told he was fit for work.

There are of course many people who are scroungers, usually young people, neurotic public employees who play the system to say nothing of third world immigrants and these people should work (or be thrown out), but the GPs should not be the gate keepers, and have the responsibility.
This duty should be performed by doctors working for the social security who can impartially assess people and give a second opinion without jeapordising the GP patient relationship.

The system I agree is a shambles and has been created by governments over the last decades to massage the high unemployment rates and now the state is paying the price.

A system should be devised, hard on young scroungers and immigrants who have not paid in but compassionate to the older people who HAVE contributed but lost their livelyhoods owing to government mis management.

It should be changed but it is the responsibility of the State and not the doctors.

EUROPEAN WAR? I DON'T THINK SO

The Euro is collapsing. The leaders of the Euro countries know it but will not admit it.
They will not admit their globalistic fascist idea is becoming unscrambled.
They know that Greece can never pay its debts and neither possibly can Italy.

The European Central Bank has injected billions of Euros and all to no avail. There is still no confidence in this Ponzi scheme.
They have sent a delegation cap in hand to China asking for help which they are not likely to get without strings.
Meanwhile the people of Europe are suffering with increased uncertainty and unemployment and costs made necessary by the bank interest they have to pay.
The bankers meanwhile still make millions from lending this money which has been created out of thin air and lending it out at great profit.

But say the leaders of Europe we MUST save the Euro. It will be disaster if it fails.
We could have war in Europe.

What a load of rubbish.
When was the last time the ordinary people of Europe went to war? I can not remember a time.
It has always been the rulers who attacked each others countries using their peoples as cannon fodder.
Even in the Arab states the turmoil is between the rulers and those ruled, so why would we European peoples attack each other?

Yes there could and will be violence. I am beginning to feel it is inevitable but that violence will be that of the people against their rulers who have stolen their birthright.
The people will rise up against those who have ruined their lives,stolen their money and jobs,altered their society and flooded it with immigrants.

There could be a people's uprising or "peasants revolt" against those responsible, those in power now. This could be accompanied by a civil war in European countries fought between true Europeans and interlopers brought here by the present rulers.

People all over the world react in the same way to injustice. One only has to look at Libya and the way its rulers have been treated by those now in power. Gadaffi may be gone but those who he imported to prop up his vile regime are also now targetted. It is not pleasant but inevitable. When people finally gain an element of freedom they can take the law into their own hands.

Thus I see the breakup of the European Union as an unpleasant episode, nasty but necessary medicine which will lower all our living standards, but do our leaders see just that?

With their talk of war could they have the fear that some of them may face the same fate as Gadaffi and other dictators?

" COUNTER terrorism police are investigating a Muslim group after supporters called an MP a “Jewish homo pig”.

Conservative MP Mike Freer was holding an advice surgery in the mosque in Margaret Thatcher’s former constituency of Finchely, north London, when the radicals hurled abuse on Friday afternoon.

They screamed at him that as someone who is gay he was “not welcome in a house of Allah”.

Mr Freer, who is not Jewish but who is a member of the Conservative Friends of Israel and the All Party Parliamentary Group on Islamophobia, said the protesters were “aggressive” and that he had been forced to call Finchley’s Met Police borough commander to complain.

It is now understood that Scotland Yard’s counter-terrorist unit is investigating the Muslims Against Crusades group, which has also issued a chilling warning to any MP representing Muslims in Britain.

In a statement on its website, they have told every MP to remember what happened to Stephen Timms, the former Labour minister who was stabbed while holding an advice surgery in east London last year.

His Al Qaeda-inspired attacker, Roshonara Choudhry, 22, was sentenced to life imprisonment and a number of other MPs who were on her target list were offered extra police protection.

The Muslims Against Crusades statement reads: “We warn Mike Freer and every other MP in Britain that their presence is no longer welcomed in any Muslim area and that examples such as Stephen Timms should serve as a piercing reminder of this.

“Muslims have had enough of freedom and democracy and are fervently working for the implementation of the Shariah.

Although the group is relatively small and dismissed by moderate Muslims as insignificant lunatics, their supporters include convicted terrorists.

Its major British figurehead is radical hate-preacher Anjem Choudary, a lieutenant of Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad who is now banned from entering Britain and is in jail in Lebanon.

“I was made aware that a woman member of the mosque had started a campaign against me.

haranguing me and screaming abuse calling me a Jewish homo pig.

“They said because I was gay, I was not welcome in a House of Allah. It was all very aggressive.

I take back what I said last night. The BNP conference in Liverpool will indeed prove to be the best ever, not for the content but for its effect in flushing the drains of Liverpool out.

The fat undemocratic pig Joe Anderson (pictured) demonstrated the contempt for democracy of the Labour group in Liverpool by threatening the landlord of the venue where the BNP annual conference was held with termination of his licence if he did not end the meeting and throw the participants out.

I believe Nick Griffin did the democratic cause a power of good in this instance in flushing undemocratic scum such as Anderson from their holes. How he ever was elected is a mystery to me. He can hardly speak (you almost need subtitles to understand him) and it says much about the intellect of those who voted for him.

No wonder Liverpool , my city of birth is a basket case city with undemocratic ignoramouses supposedly running it. Yes it all looks new now owing to massive EU funding but think what the city could become and what it will be when these thickos are on their own. Think what it could be if people of reason and intelligence were in charge. It has been betrayed in the past by its rulers and is being now and when the money stops rolling in it will be left to the likes of Anderson a course man of dubious talents who does not believe in democracy to run it.

God help it.

Nick Griffin has done the democrats a service in this case as he was the bait to entice the worm out of its hole. Anderson would not have bothered if Andrew Brons was running the show as he would probably never have ever heard of him.

So Nick, although I have criticized you in the past you did a good job in this instance, but poor Liverpool at having a such uneducated pig of a leader.

AN EXCITING WEEK END?

HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE

The great day has arrived, the one we have all been waiting for. The Annual BNP Conference starts today. It will of course be the best ever (it always is). This time owing to the Party being "the most rapidly growing party in the country" members are invited to bring guests.

This is a new approach and I presume on account of a much bigger venue found, or perhaps the bargain price of £25 for two days. Previously attendance was strictly limited to voting members so the new rules are an indication of the massive growth in membership from over 14,000 to perhaps 7,000 (well you can grow down). It will certainly be a full house like the picture above which was taken at the "Ideas" conference last weekend.

One thing that puzzles me in recent pictures on the official site is that few photos are taken of the audience, most of them being of the "Top table". Arthur Kemp always advised against this method of recording meetings, saying it was better to illustrate the enthusiastic throngs at these meetings.

There have been pictures of meetings and events such as The Trafalgar Dinner which illustrated two tables, nicely laid out but no photo of the venue crowded with guests enjoying their meal. There was I admit a picture of the visit to Walsingham Abbey by members of the club but for propaganda purposes it would have been better to have given a visual impression of the large numbers attending this fest. Or maybe there were not so many attendees. No that can't be true in a "rapidly growing party" or can it. In future I would ask the compilers of reports on the main web site to include ALL those attending meetings and functions so that people can rejoice in the rapid progress the Party is making.

The picture of the meeting at the top shows how it should be done although those present there were it seems subsidized by George Soros and Searchlight and thus traitors. That is possibly the reason that the admission fee was £2 rather than £15, but it's nice to have a billionaire at the back of you.

I await news of the "exciting new initiatives" from the "best ever" meeting this week end.

A LETTER FROM LANKYPAPODOPOLIS.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Lankypapodopolis and as you can gather by my name I am a Greek citizen.
I am in employment and have a good job and income I get from private business.
It is great here. I do not have to pay much in the way of taxation as my friend is the tax inspector and for a small fee he neglects to send me any tax demands.
This is a great situation for me as the EU is pumping billions of Euros into the economy to stop mu country from defaulting.
We all know it will but I am putting all my money abroad and in gold before this happens so that when it does I will be OK.

I know my friend Lanky Schmitt of Germany does not like paying his taxes to pay me but that is the price of Germany being in the Euro and it helps him as his exports are cheaper and he can sell more of his cars and machinery.
I hope he continues to do this so I can transfer more money out of the system but Mr Schmitt is getting a bit fed up.
He may make more money from his machine exports but he loses most of it by giving it to me.

Any sensible person can see that this situation can not carry on for ever but the politicians are keen for it to continue and while they strive to prevent the inevitable collapse I will continue to convert the paper money they have given me into property and gold.

Government workers here in Greece are getting restive over their reduced job prospects and wages imposed by the EU and there is civil strife in the streets but I am well off and as long as the politicians cling to the EU delusion I am happy,even though I know it is not just. I know that billions of Euros have been withdrawn from the banks here and taken abroad, to safeguard their money.

I note that tonight that in Britain Cameron has had a rebellion from his more honest MPs on his renaging of his pre election promises. He wants still to be part of the shambles although thew people of Britain do not want it, but when did politicians in what is supposedly a democratic country actually do what the people want.
Cameron and his cronies are more interested in the banks and his wealthy friends just as our government is. They are all the same and people such as I benefit.

Any sensible person realises that this system of creating money out of thin air only benefits the rich and moneylenders. Those who have money convert this imaginary vehicle of exchange into solid assets, and I am one of those. My yacht is worth hundreds of thousands of Euros, and I have a stash of gold.

Politicians have no inkling of the real world, the differences in countries and seek a unified Europe as a prelude to a global economy run of course by them.
They do not realise differnet countries have different geography, resources and cultures and seek to blend these into an amorphous mix under their control.
The peoples of the European countries do not like it but to the politicians with their grand delusions of world government they are ignored.

Cameron said tonight that if your neighbours house was on fire you would help him. Of course you would but that would not mean staying in the house with him and burning to death. You would stay outside and help the fire brigade.
He is an idiot or more likely has another agenda.

Well they are not getting my money.
I will keep taking the EU largesse until it runs out and possibly my Italian friends will do the same.
When this Eurofarce eventually does collapse I will be OK but the poor of the rest of Europe will face financial hardship.

I did not make these stupid rules and am not resposible for them . My motive as a wealthy Greek is to protect myself as I am sure all other wealthy Europeans are doing.

The poor will suffer but that fact is the responsibility of the politicians and the unelected bureaucrats of Brussels.

Democracy originated in my country so perhaps it will by defaulting in its debts it will bring the undemocratic house of cards which is the EU down and thus contribute to a new era of freedom after the inevitable hardship of all ordinary Europeans.

It will be worth it for the poor and I am protected as my assets are out of the reach of the government.

MORE ON THE "IDEAS" CONFERENCE

Having had more time to digest the BNP ideas meeting and time to gather my thoughts and analyse the tone and atmosphere of the meeting I realise the difference between this meeting and other BNP meetings I have attended.

First the participants (not audience) were not all Party members.
There was no omnipotent hierarchy dominating the meeting.

Of course there was a "top table" including Andrew Brons but the meeting was chaired fairly and of course competently by Arthur Kemp.
There was the chance of all present, members and nonmembers but all nationalists to have their say as how to best progress the cause.

Arthur Kemp stated at the beginning that we should not dwell too much on the past but that our purpose was to find a way to promote the cause in the future. Many different ideas were considered from starting a new party to joining a new party.
All were agreed that the need to unite the nationalist cause, but how? What is the best way?
All present were allowed to have their input and in the end the consensus was that a new party was unviable.
It was agreed that the BNP had a toxic reputation but that was largely owing to the malign influence of Nick Griffin and his cohorts, but that cleansed of him and these others a new clean party, untainted by them could emerge.

The BNP in its present form it was agreed was finished with a decreasing membership and questions to be answered regarding financial and other aspects of its management due to be answered in court.
So what was decided?

A new party it was considered was a non starter and bound to fall into oblivion as will the many new micro nationalist parties which have sprung up in the last year.

The consensus of the meeting was that we should have a parallel group with no name ( to avoid proscription) ready to take over when the inevitable demise of the present BNP occurs.

Contacts should be made with existing BNP members as well as those formerly with us to join this NATIONALIST grouping in readiness to take over when the time comes.

Of course this puts more work on to Andrew Brons but with others in the room the burden on him can be lessened.
Andrew was reluctant to take on any extra work. He was there because of his belief in our country and people, not his pocket, which makes him unique among politicians.

And finally, the attendees were self selected from the best of our nationalist bretheren.
All they wished for was UNITY, and that was evident at the meeting.

So whatever happens to the dieing corpse of the present BNP there will with the help of those at the meeting a new CLEAN vehicle to take the cause of Nationalism, patriotism and our country forward.

HAS NICK GRIFFIN LOST HIS MARBLES?

A few years a good friend of ours, a shop proprieter became increasingly unconcerned when my wife went to purchase from her. Afterwards my wife said she was not going there again although she had been a longtime friend.
On another occasion a man I knew who ran an off licence held up another similar shop, a man who knew him. He was of course arrested as his victim knew him. We all thought it strange at the time.

The two above I am using as illustrations of what can go wrong with people's minds.
They were later diagnosed as suffering from brain tumours, which had altered their personalities from those we liked into another alien frame of mind.

I believe Nick Griffin is suffering from some cerebral disturbance.
Last year I thought he was God until he began to renage on his promises and "fix" motions at party meetings to ensure his long term control of OUR party in an undemocratic way by schemes such as proxy votes.

Now it seems anybody with whom he disagrees is a traitor. No free speech or opinions there then.

Today we went to the "BNP Ideas" in Leicester, a very civilised meeting with eloquent patriotic speakers who tolerated differnt opinions. No black garbed "security" were in attendance and we met many old friends.
Some had left the party, some had been thrown out or sacked for asking questions (Griffinite democracy) and many remained but were in dispair at the failing fortunes of the party in which we sought our national salvation and which claims rapid growth, in spite of losing two thirds of its membership.

At the meeting I was informed that Griffin had "tweeted"(I don't go on it) that the attendees were all in the pay of George Soros or Searchlight spies.

What planet is this man on? These people were those who had worked with and supported him and were not meeting to destroy Nationalism.
We met to save Nationalism from the destruction visited upon our creed by the present hierarchy.
We can see the fall in support in electoral results and local activism. If Griffin can not see this he has lost his mind.

I DO believe there are moles in the party, but they are not to be found in those ejected as they would not be very good moles.

They are to be found in those AT THE TOP of the party and not those present at the WELL ATTENDED meeting.

Anyone who wished could speak from the floor, and different views were respectfully heard.
We differed in certain aspects of the best way forward but we were united in our desire to save our country and culture.

We know that and agreed that Nick Griffin is an impediment. He is an electoral liability.
How do I know? The electors tell me and have told others at the meeting.
If he had any decency he would resign in the interests of the cause, if indeed he believes in it.

But we know he won't.

He shows obvious signs of paranoia. He thinks people are against him. Many are, so why does he not just go and leave the nationalist field to flourish without his baggage. He seems to be determined to stay whatever. Like Gadaffi he believes all nationalists love him.

Or perhaps he has a brain malfunction.

If he believes those at our meeting today are in the pay of George Soros he is certainly wrong in the head.

CASHLESS SOCIETY ?

If they have control of your money electronically how easy is it for THEM to stop you accessing YOUR MONEY or PAYING BILLS etc?

And what if you belong to a political party that the LIB/LAB/CON party don't like?

Your money could soon dissappear, access blocked, payments taken out unauthorised, instant fines.

They want to control OUR FINANCES.

WILL THE LIBYANS RETURN?

The news that Gadaffi has been overthrown partly by Libya's own people but mainly because of the assistance of NATO and especially Britain and France opens up a new era.

The reason for Cameron's and Sarkozy's assistants in overthrowing the tyrant are as yet unclear but the attitude of the two countries to Libya seems to have reversed in the last two years.
They knew he was a tyrant but still dealt with and were friendly to him before.

Were they waiting for an uprising to depose him? It looks like it. But why?
Why were our forces deployed in Libya and not in the other dictatorial countries of the Middle East? After all they are all run by tyrant regimes.
What about Syria? Their government has killed thousands and continues to kill every day.
Is Syria too strong or has too little oil or too close to Israel? We are not told the reason for this differing policy. I know Hague has said a few strong words to them. That'll frighten Assad.

The barbaric treatment of Gadaffi showed what a rabble we have supported and what we face if these people ever are in a position of power in Britain.
Even in Nazi Germany the perpetrators of atrocities were given a fair trial before their end.
That is the difference between barbarism and Western standards.

This treatment of a tyrant will have unfortunate side effects.
Assad will not wish for the same fate in Syria and will fight harder to preserve his life and regime. What has he to lose? only the lives of the Syrian people.
And there are the dictatorships of Arabia, Yemen and Saudi to name but two. Why not them ?
Do we fear the loss of their oil? The leaders of these countries will also fear the same fate as Gadaffi and will fight harder to preserve themselves.

It seems freedom is very important but not as important as financial motives.
There is far more to this squalid intervention than democracy as there is little hope of it in any muslim country. They don't want it in any case.

Much as I deprecate the actions of those complicit in the final demise of Gadaffi I am glad he is no more.
It will solve two problems at the same time.
The new democratic Libya will attract all those of that nation who are at present here as refugees. They will relish the opportunity of returning to their own country and to help to rebuild it.
Their departure will ease the pressure on housing here.
If enough return it will obviate the need as expressed by Tessa Jowell for people such as myself and my wife who selfishly live in three bedroom houses since our children fled the nest.

We are told we should move to a one bedroom apartment to ease the housing shortage and make room for those with large families (usually muslims).

I know this might seem a bit selfish but I don't want to move. Yes we have two spare bedrooms now but we have made this house our home.
We have put our stamp on it and want to end our days, however selfish that might seem.

The return of the Libyans will help to solve this crisis.
If that is not enough the house (mansion) occupied by champagne socialist Tony Blair I believe has great potential to be broken up into large apartments to provide suitable accommodation for Somalian "refugees" up to the standards they expect.

Meanwhile we will remain in our more humble abode safe in the knowledge that a mass exodus of Libian patriots is about to occur.

OR IS IT?

Courts need not be bound by Europe, says top judge

British courts do not need to be bound by European human rights rulings, the country’s most senior judge said yesterday.

Lord Judge, the Lord Chief Justice, said the UK need only “take account” of the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights but not necessarily follow it.

His comments will be seized upon by David Cameron who is furious with a series of rulings by the Strasbourg court imposed on the UK.

The Prime Minister is resisting a demand from Europe to give some prisoners a vote after the court ruled the current blanket ban is unlawful but is under increasing pressure to abide by it.

The domestic courts had all agreed with Government policy but the human rights challenge won in Europe.

Giving evidence to the Lords Constitutional Committee, Lord Judge was asked whether Strasbourg “always wins”.

He said: “I would like to suggest that maybe Strasbourg shouldn’t win and doesn’t need to win.”

“I think for Strasbourg I think there is yet a debate to happen, it will have to happen in the Supreme Court, about what we really do mean in the Human rights Act, what parliament means in the Human Rights Act, when it said that the courts in this country must take account of the decisions of European Court of Human Rights.

“I myself think it is at least arguable that having taken account of the decision of the court in Strasbourg our courts are not bound by them. Give them due weight in most cases obviously, we would follow them but not, I think, necessarily.”

The Human Rights Act, which the last Labour Government passed, enshrined the European Convention of Human Rights in to British law.

Lord Phillips, the President of the Supreme Court, told the peers that Strasbourg can cause “serious problems” when it rules against the UK courts.

But he said that as long as the Human Rights Act existed Strasbourg would win.

The Government has been given a further stay by Europe on its demand to impose prisoner voting pending the outcome of a similar case involving Italy.

Mr Cameron has suggested replacing the Human Rights Act with a British Bill of Rights.

He also plans to use the UK’s presidency of the Council of Europe from next month to lead a radical shake – up of the European human rights court.

However, he was warned last month by his own commission examining a Bill of Rights that radical reform of the court would not prevent it again overruling Parliament on issues such as allowing prisoners to vote.

In other issues, Lord Judge warned ministers that their open criticism of decisions of the courts that they do not like is “damaging”.

The relationship between parliament and judiciary was strained earlier this year in a row over the growing use of injunctions and claims that the courts were effectively creating a law of privacy by stealth.

Asked about a public perception of antagonism between parliament and the judiciary, he said: “It would help if Government ministers did not cheer when they agree with a judicial decision or boo when they disagree.

“That is, I think, very undesirable and I think it is damaging. If we got rid of that I think it would be much easier.”"

Police chiefs 'authorised undercover police officers to give false evidence in court'

The claims led to Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary delaying a report into undercover police tactics at the last minute.

It had been due to be published today and was thought to be critical of the police.

Lawyers for a convicted protester claim a Metropolitan Police officer called Jim Boyling, posing as an activist, was prosecuted alongside their client and lied under oath to conceal his true identity.

Solicitors from the law firm Bindmans claim Boyling pretended to be Jim Sutton between 1995 and 2000 and joined the non-violent organisation Reclaim the Streets, the Guardian newspaper reported.

As part of his role, Bindmans claim, he was prosecuted at Horseferry Road magistrates court in London in 1997 for disorderly behaviour in a three-day trial.

He maintained his fiction during the entire prosecution, they allege, giving a false name and occupation and lying under oath.

Bindmans are appealing on behalf of John Jordan, an activist who was convicted of assaulting a police officer and given a one-year conditional discharge.

They claim Boyling would potentially have been able to use his knowledge of the activists’ defence to boost the prosecution’s case.

It has previously been claimed that Boyling married an activist he met while undercover in the environmental protest movement, and that he went on to have children with her.

Peter Black, another police officer who worked in the same undercover unit as Boyling, said the case was not unique.

Black said occasional prosecutions for regular involvement in public disorder were allowed to go ahead because it helped to build their credibility with activists.

A spokesman for the Met Police said the force was already reviewing issues regarding the deployment of undercover officers.

He added: “The Metropolitan Police Service acknowledges that these are serious matters and is continuing to review the situation, and will take account of any additional information that becomes available.”

A spokeswoman for HMIC said their report had been delayed to “consider the relevance” of the new claims.

She added: “We will be writing to The Guardian and Newsnight [which also ran the story] to invite them to provide any additional information they may have.”

Three different inquiries have been launched following the controversy surrounding Mark Kennedy, a Metropolitan police officer who spent seven years working undercover before turning against his seniors.

Some of the HMIC materiel expected to be published on Thursday was to have examined his role and those of his controllers."

IDEAS FOR THE "IDEAS" CONFERENCE

Perhaps the most important conference in Nationalist history for years takes place on Saturday in what could be a make or break moment for our Nationalist movement
The BNP ideas will give all interested people a chance to put forward their opinion of the way forward.

After the euphoria following the election of our two MEPs and three county councillors the BNP has been on the slide.
We really did think we were on the way to even more success, so why did we fail and dissillusion and factionalism set in? Why did our electoral results and percentages decline? Why has Party membership declined?

Why have we failed to connect with the electorate when the omens for national disaster are so obvious?
WE SHOULD BE GOING FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH.

WHAT HAVE WE DONE WRONG?

The loss of morale in our activist base owing to shady financial practices, arbitrary sackings and the promotion of unsuitable people to posts of authority have meant the loss of virtually all the best talent in the BNP with a consequent decline in intelligent policies.

It has been alleged that many now not in the Party are moles or Searchlight spies, the usual rubbish.
I believe we have been infiltrated but I also believe those infiltrators are still in positions of power in the Party such as the Advisory Council. After all it's not much use being a spy if you are expelled and can exert no influence.

Many good people with a long history of hard work and valuable contributions to the nationalist cause have now, wrongly in my opinion deserted to the plethora of smaller parties which suit their own particular brand of nationalism. It's almost as if there are as many different brands of nationalism as there are nationalists, each with their own priorities.
In addition there are many who share our views but would not call themselves Nationalist but just people wishing for a more just country where our people come first, and above all--

THEY DON'T LIKE NICK GRIFFIN. In spite of his narrowly winning the leadrship, he is a vote loser with the general electorate.

There are policies of all these groups and small parties with which I agree and some with which I do not.
Just say I agree with 80% of BNP policies, 80% of English Democrat and 80% of Freedom policies and even 50% of UKIP policies, and I possibly do that still leaves 50% of the policies of those parties with which I agree.
So what are we doing now. We are concentrating on the small percentages where we differ.
The broad spectrum of nationalist minded people agree on the core policy which is the well being of our country and people.

SO
We should first of all be generalist nationalist parties. We should not argue the differences between Ethnic and Civic nationalism.
WE should avoid inflammatory "racist" remarks which allow the media to tar us with the "Fascist" brush which they will do however unjustified that is. We must avoid criticizing Jews, many of them support us but are fearful of voting for us.

The Middle East is nothing to do with us, another poloicy which puts people off voting for us.
Our policy on that is "we have none".

We should avoid detailed policy statements apart from those of a broad Nationalism. Thus homosexuality, abortion, guns or capital punishment should not be core policies.
These and many others can be reasons why people are dissuaded from voting for us.
The official line on even some of these policies I disagree with and stressing them divides us when we are otherwise in agreement. In my case these details do not matter in the broad nationalist context BUT TO MANY THEY DO, and stressing or even mentioning these loses us votes and support.

WE need all the votes we can garner from all those who agree with us on most things but are put off by minor details.

Margaret Thatcher did not say in her manifesto she would destroy the coal and other industries and squander our industrial might and North Sea oil to do so.
She even promised to curb immigration and renaged on it after she gained power.

Ring any bells? Cameron and his referendum for example.

Tony Blair did not promise to go to war as America's poodle or massively increase immigration, but look what happened.

We must cease having a multitude of small policy details, each of which is important to somebody and their inclusion stops their support for us.

We must be broad brush Nationalists and Patriots and put minor differences behind us.

So yes we should put a stop to immigration, foreign control of our industries, green and other taxes which cost us dear in our fuel bills and put our industries at a disadvantage ,engagement in foreign wars and exit the EU.
We must stress our determination to remain a British society whose ancient values are preserved.

These few headings encompass our core beliefs and THOSE OF THE MAJORITY OF THE ELECTORATE, and that is the point if we are ever to get elected to any power.

I would hope this conference will delegate a committee to seek negotiations with the other nationalist groups to combine under the banner of a new untainted party for our mutual benefit.
It would of course have to dissociate itself from the toxic BNP brand, but be open to all true nationalists, apart from some of the present leadership.
We would have to put behind us old personal animosities . Forgive and forget. Friendship although pleasant is not the primary cause.
UNITY AND COOPERATION IS.

WE must show the British people we are on their side. We do have to accept that many non muslim families who have been here for years will have to be allowed to remain if they integrate.
I don't like it any more than anyone else but facts are facts and we can not unbake the cake.

BUT, if we unite under these proposals we can stop our cake getting burnt.
It depends on us.

OUR PRIMARY CAUSE IS THE FUTURE OF OUR COUNTRY.

OUR PRIMARY METHOD CAN ONLY BE UNITY.

OUR PRIMARY GOAL IS NATIONAL SALVATION.

WE MUST PREVAIL.

October 22nd will see the BNP Ideas conference, at which the future direction of nationalism in the UK could well be decided.

It is certainly clear that we cannot go on as we are under the lame duck leadership of Nick Griffin, forever tainted by financial scandals and underhanded shenanigans.

Nick and his doings are the past though, what we must decide now is where we must go from here, and how we will take nationalism, the only hope of Britain and the British people, forward.

It is the perfect time for nationalism to thrive - how we will make that happen is key. Not continuing to pick apart the past, not rehashing what is water under the bridge, not bogging ourselves down with yesterdays news.

Learn from the past and move on to a brighter future.

I do not know how the conference will turn out, or what will be decided, but I am optimistic - we have so many great people who do, and will, work selflessly to make sure that Britain has a future.

Together we will move forward, we will make this work out. We can make it work and indeed we must make it work. Britain has no other choice, it's now or never.

The protests against the capitalist system seem to be continuing across the globe, although little is reported in the press.
For information one has to go to the Russian television to see some of what is happening.

Yes I know much of it is propaganda but so is what of what we are force fed in the West.
There is a general and growing disquiet and dissatisfaction with the way the banks are controlling society.

In the comments sections of some of our national paapers people have been saying, why protest against the banks? It is our governments which are responsible.
People who write thus do not understand that our governments do not run or control our countries or the banks. Indeed the banks finance the major parties in this country. They are at the root of the problem so the place to demonstrate is at the corrupt heart of the system, the banks and financial sector.

THE BANKS CONTROL THE GOVERNMENT.

I am in an unusual position here. Usually I am not on the side of various protesters which are often infiltrated by anarchists and Social Workers party people (an oxymoron if ever I heard one).
Most of those now demonstrating are those who have had their birthright thieved by the system
It is no fault of theirs that they must pay for further education, that there are few apprenticeships or that their education has been so poor, infested as it is by PC nonsense.
It is not their fault that they have as a result no jobs, large debts and no chance of having the funds to set up home.

It is the fault of our generation or those in power of our generation.
I sympathise with those betrayed young and unemployed people who are in a no win situation.

The cause of this generational disaster is solely down to the financial stranglehold the banks and the City of London have on our society.

They sold our assets. They financed corrupt governments to reduce regulations which made them able to sell our "family silver"
In effect the banks and financial institutions are the boss of our government and media.

So what do we do?

Many of the protesters can not remain as they have their jobs to go to tomorrow (some to pay their debts to, guess who?)
Many people for various reasons are unable to contribute to this worldwide anti capitalist movement.

Now I am a big believer of private enterprise. I see no wrong in entrepeneurs and successful businessmen making money.
If they have by their efforts made millions, good luck to them. They have been successful at what they do. They have often created jobs aided our economy. Just as overpaid footballers make massive amounts, their skill with media exposure has enabled them to cash in.
If they no longer attract people to watch them they lose their lucrative jobs, which is as it should be.

What I can't stomach is bankers holding the country to ransom, not by virtue of their ability but just because they control the money and they feel entitled to feed off the rest of society, sentencing many to poverty.

BANKERS PRODUCE NOTHING

If (an this is not something I would ordinarily say) a general strike was called against the banks I would be all for it.
For various reasons such as people's jobs this can not and will not happen.

BUT WE CAN STILL STRIKE BACK.

The banks depend on our deposits, using them to lend at interest.
Anyone who has a current account should try to reduce the amount in it. They pay no interest on it so take as much as possible out just leaving enough to pay important bills.

Pay in cash so that those you owe to do not need to deposit your money in the banks.
If you have spare cash, dont leave it in the bank. Lend it to a TRUSTED friend to pay off their credit card so that they do not need to pay extortionate rates of interest to the banks,and if you can .
DO NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD. Wait until you can afford non essentials. Get them when you can afford them or borrow off a friend and not the bank.

I know we can not do all these things but if we all do a bit we will limit the banks hold over us.
They are feeding off us. But with a bit of thought we can all do a bit.

The cashless society is just another way of channelling all transactions through the banks and each time they make a profit, and their bosses "earn" their obscene bonuses.

CUT THEM OUT, and squeeze their profits and do your bit to bring them to heel.

All people need to do their little bit to get these parasites of our collective backs, so help your friends (you know who they are) and help take our assets and country back.

Do the protets in Wall Street, Sydney, Taiwan and now in London against the present banking system indicate a collapse of the present banking system?

They could and are certainly a sign of people's increasing frustration with the system of Global Capitalism.
At last people are seeing the way they have been cheated by this iniquitous system which allows banks to create money out of thin air and lend it out at interest. This system has so many defects one could ask why has it lasted so long.
In micocosm the reason can be seen in New York with the aggressive police tactics, far more violent than they would in other situations.
It is because of what the demonstrators say.
ONE PERCENT RULES THE OTHER NINETY NINE PERCENT.

THE BANKERS ARE THE BOSSES, and any protest against them will be snuffed out.

The financial crises all over the world with all countries seeming to borrow money in unimaginable amounts shows the global financial system is heading for collapse.
Hopefully the Eurozone will collapse within months but what the ramifications of that will be no one knows.
What we do know is that in spite of all the so called economics experts global finances and with them standards of living are in a tailspin., and the downturn has hardly begun.

Now I do not think these economists in high places are all thick.
I believe they are financed and controlled by the global bankers of the NWO who wish to control all peoples.

The EU itself was a step in the direction of control. It was always obvious that countries as diverse as the North European and Mediterranean had little in common, climatically, geographically and socially apart from a common European heritage and can never work without a central undemocratic control of all aspects of civic and financial life.

They are now pushing for a closer integration. It is all part of a plan.
To help the plan along, mix the people up and "enrich" them with millions who have no cultural ties and who can move from country to country causing a loss of local identity making populations easier to control.
I believe it is no accident that the so called Arab Spring was in part begun by people's dis satisfaction with their lot and there is more to our intervention in Libya than is admitted.

Muslim extremists of course will try to exploit the vacuum in stable government and perhaps that explains the reluctance of Cameron et al to get involved in Syria.
Israel surrounded by muslim militants would be a nightmare for those in Israel complicit in this NWO scheme.

Now we come to a strange fact, the absence of groups such as the UAF and SWP in these protesting groups. It could be asked how these groups are funded and why Cameron and his cronies support the former?
You would think the SWP would have been at the forefront of demonstrations, given their leftist credentials.
These latter should not be confused with anarchists who reject any order and are thus diametrically opposite.

International bankers hedge fund managers and organisations such as the EU would be those one would think the so called leftist groups would be the first to target.
After all they are not democratic and there is talk of the "post democratic" society, in other words FASCIST.

Scare stories are beginning to be told that Europe would be at war in ten years if the Euro project failed. WHY?

We can all live peacefully together in our own communities, trading with each other in harmony when the people have a say in government in a true democratic way.

The horrors of the World Wars of the 20th Centuary were caused by corrupt leaders and WW2 was in effect a conflict between a free people aided and abetted by Stalin until Hitler attacked him when Stalin joined us.

Wars are not caused by the people, they are just cannon fodder, they are caused by the expansionist policies of dictatorships. The people of all races are being used. Even the unwanted immigrants now entering our country are tools in this global scheme,encouraged by our unrepresentitive government. and aided by their lackeys in the media.

FASCISM AND COMMUNISM ARE THE SAME, and our government is little different BUT

THE PEOPLE ARE WAKING UP to the frauds perpetrated on them.

Where it will end who knows, but hopefully with a more just system rather than the "Orwellian" one they wish to impose on us, and if it does it will be worth it.

HOW TO IMPROVE HOSPITALS

The disgraceful situations in our hospitals with patients being literally starved to death or left unattended in thier own faeces has shocked the nation.

To our shame two of the hospitals are local to us, Whiston and Ormskirk.
The usual excuse is "lessons will be learnt" is just not good enough. What lesson needs to be learnt that patients need good nutrition and the ability to get to it if bed ridden?
What lessons need to be learnt that patients often need to be taken to the toilet and not left in their own excrement?
What lesson needs to be learnt that a bit of compassion and privacy is needed for patients?

Now I am a bit ashamed about this as I did my medical housejobs at Whiston. Then it was old fashioned and of course lacked modern diagnostic equipment and patients were in large wards of thirty patients.
Then they were well nursed, even in the geriatric block housing altogether 180 patients all those patients were well looked after and measures to prevent pressure sores strictly observed.

What has gone wrong?
Well we all know that with the demise of the Matron standards have gone downhill and hospitals are run from the office.
We, doctors and nurses were in fear of the wrath of the matron and that ensured standards were high wards were clean and patients attended to.
There was no central station where all the qualified staff sat behind computers as they do now. The trained nurses were all on the ward observing the patients.
Possibly a cause of hospital acquired infections has something to do with the present slack standards.

I know nowadays boxes have to be ticked and reports made but if that is all nursing is about, why not just have an office and let the relatives do the work.

OH THAT IS THE LATEST SUGGESTION. Families coming into hospital to feed their sick relatives, presumably so that the nurses can remain behind their computers and tick all the boxes.

That is going to do wonders for infection control with many family members carrying who knows what infection into the wards each mealtime.

So what is to be done to ensure proper care? In the past hospitals have been fined, but that is just fining the taxpayer and denuding the hospital of funds.
Chief executives have been removed but given generous severance payments and pensions and sometimes been employed in other NHS establishments, but it seems this is to no avail.

I believe it rests with the boss. In the NHS the buck stops with no one.
In business if the boss makes mistakes it hits him in the pocket and can bankrupt him.

This is what should happen in hospitals (and councils).
There should a financial penalty for deficiencies, severe enough to ensure those in charge do what they should. They have remunerations far in excess of what they had in the past.
We should insist that they earn it and if they fail, hit them in the pocket.

SO TO SOLVE THESE PROBLEMS, MAKE SURE THE BUCK STOPS WITH THE BOSS.

P.S I don't know about the wards but the staff in outpatients at Wigan Infirmary could not be more helpful, a contrast with other establishments I have visited recently, but then they are Wiganers and we have avoided so far the worst hospital infection of all, multiculturalism.

I just wish they could improve car parking facilities.

CAMERON'S COMPASSION?

David Cameron in pledging a greater proportion of our GDP than any other country says he feels a warm satisfaction at the good this programme does in reducing poverty in the Third World.
He like Geldoff and Bono are good at encouraging people much poorer then they are to give money and in Cameron's case making it obligitory by spending our taxes on these worthy projects.
Our government of course is in debt and incurs more debt to assist these countries who often have a better bank balance than do we.

Now I do not agree with all this involuntary taxpayer largess but a quick look at the recipients shows clearly where Camerons preferences lie and his assessment of the relative importance of various human rights in his mind.

Thus until recently, China with a poor human rights record and many executions and political prisoners has been a recipient of our forced largesse as had India which posseses aircraft carriers which we can not afford. India has a wealthy upper class well able to financially to help the "Untouchables" who live in abject poverty. No discrimination there then.

Pakistan, a corrupt regime with a penchant for persecuting and even killing Christians receives masses of aid, well it's for the poor children you see.

Afghanistan with an even worse and corrupt regime consumes billions in aid. Well it's for the women's education you see. I know they behead infidels but you have to consider the poor children, and in any case it is their culture and we must not interfere.

Countries in Africa, notorious for torture and worse are helped. Yes we know they are corrupt and most of the money ends up in Swiss bank accounts but some does get through to the poor, helping to alleviate hunger.

So It's nice to know we are helping all contries to create a better life and save children from starvation even if little gets beyond the agencies organising it at least some does.

It must gladden his heart that we are helping mitigate child starvation in all these poor countries.
All the needy will be helped WON'T THEY.

WELL NO. Any country who locks up people with what they in their culture perceive as un natural sexual proclivities will get no aid from us. These people of minority sexual inclinations must be released immediately or no further aid will be given.

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE STARVING CHILDREN? YOU ASK.

Sorry but their life and death does not matter as much as what is seen as a persecution of "gays"

So there you have it. Cameron's compassion.
Behead, torture, kill or steal form the poor and it will be ignored BUT, lock up a few homosexuals in your country and aid will be stopped AND YOUR CHILDREN DIE.

There is a series on the increase in numbers of mixed race in Britain on the BBC of course headed by George Alligia a mixed race newsreader himself of course who can give his unbiassed views on the subject and help celebrate the rapidly increasing numbers of mixed race people as a proportion of the population.

What the programmes are about is in truth race replacement. This situation has been encouraged by various "liberal groups" in positions of influence and see in white Europeans as everything bad, in spite of our contribution to human knowledge. These people must be infused with new blood they say.
Hybrid vigour they say. The mixed race offspring are superior to the natives as a result of this genetic infusion they say.
In effect it is a process of eugenics perpetrated against the European people, which if it had been done the other way round would have been decried as Fascism, which of course it is.
But promoting white English people's loss of their genetic heritage will never be shown in these terms.
The insidious propaganda behind these programmes is that mixed race people are superior to pure white people.

Well I was a pedigree cattle breeder and know all about the dangers of inbreeding as a result.
Thus we were obliged to purchase a new bull (of the same breed of course) to avoid this often at great cost to ensure the right genetic material.
This bull would be put with cows also selected for their superior traits otherwise his value would have been wasted and the calves produced of poor quality.

Now I am not comparing people with cattle but the genetic imperatives are just the same.
The most usual infusion of new blood into our society is from a black man who has a child with one or many white slags, many of whom are members of the underclass and ugly or oversexed or they could have chosen a white man to father their child.
So what is the result. A combinationof their genetic characteristics. His athleticism rhythm and social irresponsibility but on average lack of brain power with hers, low inelligence and slothfulness. I am not saying all such mixtures will have exactly the same result but the general end result will be an increase in the population of violent unintelligent but physically strong people.

Lest this is thought a racist rant I do believe some new blood can be beneficial but in small amounts.
Thus peoples of the Middle East are generally intelligent even though they are often blighted in their own countries by their muslim creed. If they integrate here, leave islam and have a child with an English partner the result can be a genius such as the late Steve Jobs.
But how many mixed race people of African descent make a mark in the intellectual world? Not many.
Indians as well as Chinese are also clever and mixed race offspring often do well.
BUT we can not tolerate too many without losing our culture. If they lived here in small numbers we could just about tolerate the situation.
Pakistanis of course exhibit the opposite effect by cousin marriage causing a high proportion of genetic deformities.

Many, including Nick Griffin and television personalities support the preservation of rare breeds of domestic animals. Knowing little about livestock they do not realise the reason for that rarity. They breed and grow slowly and are out competed in one way or another.
Endangered species are also rightly protected. Remember the concern that the Ruddy Duck was interbreeding with native wild ducks and threatening their genetic purity. What happened? The interlopers were shot to preserve the native ducks, even though these species were closely related enough to interbreed
One endangered species whose extinction the media seem to welcome is the white Europeans and especially British people.
Does our genetic heritage not matter.? Are we less important than ducks? It seems so.

Why are we endangered? Because we are not producing as many children as the mixed races and muslims.
Humans like animals are subject to a Darwinian system and we are losing our race in more ways than one.
As a member of that increasingly threatened rare breed, a white Englishman I am determined to preserve our pure European pedigree, although too old to do it by breeding.
We are on the danger list. The media seem to welcome that.

Sorry Englishman for the absence of the picture of Haigh hall on a previous blog. Here is one of the hall itself.

It is set in a large area of parkland which extends to within a quarter mile of Wigan town centre and is a great asset to the town and it's people.

The hall itself looks well from the outside and in the front rooms which are used for receptions but the roof and rear behind the facade are in a shocking state of disrepair.

Wigan MBC has a history of cultural vandalism.

When, a few years ago when building a new shopping precinct they found a Roman bath house which they took to pieces and placed the remnants behind the new buildings.

These Roman buildings could have been preserved. Wigan could have used these as a tourist attraction "Visit Roman Wigan",(far better than Wigan Pier.

But then the people running the council, then and now are cultural illiterates and soon our ancient town will be merely a shopping clone of many other towns with a far less historic past.

We need councillors who take pride in and love our town rather than their pockets.

WILL WE GET THEM? MAYBE IN THE FUTURE BUT THEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE.

As I said yesterday I was disappointed at how little the Panorama programme exposed.
This programme was nothing to do with politics but was only concerned with allegations of financial misdemeanours. Thus any questions asked had a validity to the State and especially to members whose hard earned cash had been use to finance the party.

Mention of the massive amount of money that Jim Dowson has allegedly gathered for the Party was there, but no indication of how it was spent was elucidated, just a statement that the General Election cost it a lot of money.
How much? We have never been told.
Yes I know there were over 100 lost deposits which would have cost over £50,000 but what about the rest.
The local parties were billed and paid for their leaflets so where was the rest of this huge amount spent?

I agree with Simon Darby that the programme was a bit of a damp squib but why in that case were there six articles attacking the programme and the BBC for creating it?
If it had no effect and all the allegations wrong why keep going on about it.This obsession with a not very informative programme and their reaction to it tends to make me believe there is much more hidden under the carpet.

Perhaps some is sub judice, I expect there is and much more will be revealed later.
In that case the BBC in its mission to close down the Party(which I agree it has) has acted prematurely. Why I can only guess. Is it inefficiency or by design?
Only time will tell but one thing is certain Griffin is unsettled by it.

The truth will come out sooner or later but in the meantime Nationalists have to move the cause forward.

The politics of the BNP are broadly correct and more a reflection of member's opimions than those of any other party.

IT IS THE LEADERSHIP WHICH IS WRONG AND WHICH PUTS THE VOTERS OFF.

Nick Griffin must realise that HE IS NOT THE PARTY.The Party belongs to its members.
I wonder whether he will hang on in his bunker until the end as did Hitler in the hope of eventual victory.
If so he will find himself with a tiny rump of incompetents still believing as did Hitler in the bunker.

We nationalists must not allow him to take our movement down with him.
We must forge a new movement and unite with other patriots in honest and common cause to save our country, even if that means a new party amalgamated with other patriots.

It can be done.
IT MUST BE DONE.

P S Do you know there is a clause in the BNP constitution that guarantees Nick Griffin a generous pension paid out of Party funds? It was pushed through by him at the EGM in Codnor three years ago.
If you have forgotten I bet he hasn't, but it's still there.

CRIMINAL NEGLECT

Now for some news of local incompetence.

Haigh Hall gifted to the then Wigan council by Lord Crawford and described as "The Jewel of The Town" with its attendant country park close to the town centre has been found to have a leaking roof.

Well that is a surprise. I went on a conducted tour of the building over ten years ago and was shocked by its condition.

The rooms open to the public seemed in good repair but the back of the building and the attics were in a state of disrepair.
The attic formerly housing the nursery room and servants quarters was a shambles. There were leaks in the roof, but they had at least put buckets under these leaks (big deal) and "acro" supports holding some of the joists up.

I asked why repairs could not be done and was told that a covenant prevented it as the building belonged to the people of Wigan.

One room at the back WAS used as a Social Services office as this was allowed as helping the people of Wigan though why a Portacabin in the town centre would not serve better I do not know.
The famous original staircase was decorated with posters warning of AIDS and other PC nonsense, given that few people would see them. For the "people of Wigan you see"

I wrote letters about this and I believe did an article on this blog about this degredation of our premier building but I heard nothing afterwards. I assumed the urgent and necessary repairs had been done.

Surprise, surprise, only a temporary fix had been done and the building is still at risk unless an estimated £2 million is spent.
Why is this still so? Why have the well remunerated councillors not insisted on the repairs before? or did they even know? Or care?
If they did not is that not a dereliction of duty.

If I knew about the state of the building all those years ago and I am not a councillor why did our councillors not know about our town's best building ?
This neglect of our heritage is nothing less than cultural vandalism and a disgrace to all involved.

Now I know that at a time of financial stringency cost is a problem, but it did not seem to be an insuperable problem for new offices for the overpaid and underworked staff of Wigan Metro which were erected recently.

I was further shocked to hear last night that the stables at the hall were in better shape having been equipped as offices replete with computers and other necessary equipment, for the Metro of course. A nice country setting for these "workers"
Another case of all talk and no action.

Some of the comments in the Evening Post have even suggested demolition.
I am appalled.

So go on Wigan Metro. Try for lottery money. Sack a few of your inspectors and diversity and equality officers (like Elliot? BTW have you not sacked him yet?).Pay your senior staff less. You can find the money if you want to.
How many hundreds of millions do you rake in in Council Tax? This is peanuts in comparison.
A project such as saving Haigh Hall would be doubly advantageous. It would save our heritage for future generations and give employment to the local building industry.

Wigan has suffered much in the past as its inhabitants toiled to play such a prominent part in our country's wealth.

Those parts unravaged by industry and their historic buildings MUST BE SAVED.
The wealth was syphoned out of our town in the past.

IT'S TIME TO GIVE A BIT BACK, YOU OWE IT US.

How convenient. The BNP website is off line following the Panorama programme.
I know it is a bit soon for a comment but the inability to get on the site is to say the least strange.
have they run away as Nick did in Leicester?
Having seen the programme I was a little disappointed at its shallowness. It did not unearth much that we did not already know, so why all the fuss about it on the official site?

It was said that donations reached record levels and so did expenditure, but no details of that expenditure were discovered.
I feel there is a lot more to it still hidden.

I am and always have been a nationalist but feel cheated in not being given the answers to valid questions of on what this vast amount of money was spent. Questioning the finances is not treachery, it is a reasonable request for answers which I had hoped the programme would have elucidated.
It did not. All it showed was a culture of misaccounting and possibe fraud but no clue as to where our money has gone.
Possibly criminal charges will be brought, I don't know but the members deserve to know where their money has gone.
None of it came to our group. We put far more in the kitty than we got out.

Unfortunately the image of the party and thus of nationalism was dragged down by the disgraceful tactics at the aborted interview in Leicester, especially when the reporters were ejected from the venue. Those involved looked like and acted like the thugs we are portrayed as and this is the image we must lose.
The venue incidentally was where our last conference was held.

I have to say that those who consented to be interviewed conducted themselves in exemplary fashion and would be an asset to any patriotic party( apart from the traitor Bennett). Of course they are not members of the BNP now although they formerly held senior positions before leaving in disgust.
Their politics I am sure remain the same but the party hierarchy has let them and our nation down and those remaining in the party showed their true calibre.

I feel it is a pity that Andrew Brons did not appear on the programme as he would have shown the real BNP and countered the uncouth attitude of those still loyal to Nick Griffin.

I can only hope for a more in depth scrutiny of the Party and its finances in the future.

Is this tame programme what they were frightened of?
If so there must be much more lieing under the carpet.

Let's put all this deceit and corruption behind us and work for a clean honest Nationalist grouping which unites all true Brits.

As Winter approaches we look back to the barbecue summer due to global warming which confounded the "experts" by not turning up.

We can also celebrate "The Arab Spring" when the peoples of North Africa gained their freedom and could live in harmony, also predicted by the experts and supported by our government at a cost of billions in Libya.
It is wonderful to see the newly freed people of Tunisia enjoying their freedom by attempting to escape to Europe.
The harmony in Libya in those areas liberated fron Gadaffi gladdens ones heart and it must make Cameron proud that the captured soldiers are at last seeing the benefits of democracy.

Oh sorry there must have been a mistake. The sub Saharan Africans who fought for Gadaffi are not facing trial but murder by being shot if they are lucky and by torture and mutilation if they are not.
This is not racist of course, only whites can be racist.

Egypt, freed of Mubarak has settled down to peace and should have free elections where all races and religions are treated equally, provided they are muslims.
How lucky the Coptic Christians are to live in a predominently muslim society, the religion of peace whose adherents kill them and burn their churches with the connivance of the democratic military dictators.

I realise that Coptic Christianity was the original religion long before the armies of the religion of peace arrived, but turning the other cheek has really helped them and hastened their eradication. It shows their religion is "not fit for purpose" and must therefore be suppressed.

As he basks in the sucess of a well thought out policy Cameron would do well to observe the turmoil in other Middle East countries, favoured by islamic inhabitants and see how that knowledge could affect our country.

His party and the previous Labour Party have seeded our towns with rapidly growing areas, mini caliphates who represent the religion of peace and wish only to take over the rest of the country by peaceful means such as breeding.

If Cameron and his cronies just allow this to happen all will be peaceful and harmonious. He will of course have to silence those "bigots" who wish to retain their non peaceful democratic way of life by leafletting and doing table tops.
Perhaps these misguided people who foolishly resist will have to be peacefully deported or even executed.

But that is the penalty for resisting these peaceful follwers of the prophet what's his name? who can not be depicted in pictorial fashion.
He was brought up among camels in the desert and thus knew everything about camels and sand but little else, just the man to peacefully start a new religion by slaughtering others and just the man for God to talk to and make rules for us all.

The prophet and God have spoken and it is our duty to obey.

WHY IS NEW MONEY GOING TO THE BANKS?

Over the last few days I have been thinking about and reading in the papers about the latest 70 billion Quantitative Easing (printing of money) which has been decided by Mervyn King.

This amounts to over £1000 for every person in Britain. It is not extra money he has given us, it is a debt he has saddled us with. Most affected are those with private pension schemes which have seen their pensions fall by as much as thirty percent.
In effect their pensions have been stolen.

I accept something drastic has to be done to save our country and provide jobs and if some sacrifices MUST be made we will all have to accept them.

BUT it is the way the money will be introduced which I can not understand.
It will be all channelled through ,you guessed it the bankers who caused much of the problem in the past.

Why could this "new money" not be used to improve our infrastructure or lent directly by the government to small firms at low interest? We would then get some return on this "investment" and our sacrifices, increase employment and in the end get a return on that money.
Then perhaps it would be worth it but it seems this new money created out of thin air will just boost the bank's balance sheets and the bosses bonuses.

I accept I am not an economist but the results of our country being ruled at the whim of these "experts" have been little short of disasterous.
So I ask the question. Why can the money not be put directly into the economy, businesses and infrastructure etc?

Why do the banks need to be involved at all?

Perhaps there are government forces controlling us, our economy and prospects behind the scenes which act in their interests and not in the national interest. It seems so.

Can anybody who knows how the finance world works please enlighten me? because I can see no logic in the way they are conducting our economy and our country?

I do not understand it. Does anybody?

A FINANCIAL LIFELINE?

Yet another attack on the BBC and Panorama features on the party website.
This is getting a bit repititious and boring.

BUT there may be a way of benefitting from the "lies" which we are told are to be broadcast.

We could do as others quoted in todays article on the website and SUE the BBC for defamation of persons in the Party.
As has been shown thousands of pounds have been paid out for false accusations and libels in the past and our Chairman could do the same.

Think what a case he could make when he refuted the lies that he believes will be told about him.

He of course will know this as a lawyer, and he has vast experience of lawcourts as Chairman of the Party.

I am sure he will relish the opportunity to take the BBC to the cleaners and will be waiting with eager anticipation for the programme.
When these lies are broadcast he will be on them like a ton of bricks and have them in court for thousands in damages.

Will this programme solve the party's financial problems? It could.

I HOPE SO.

A SQUALID FUTURE?

Tonight I watched a programme on Channel Four about the conditions in South Africa "post democracy" presented by that good British man Krishnan Gurumurthy, or something like that.

I can well understand why he was sent to report on conditions as a white man would have been in fear of his life in the shanty towns he visited.

The appalling squalour of the shanty towns he visited with rubbish, open sewers everywhere was a demonstration of typical African life.

One may wonder with what these people would have made their rudimentary shelters of if corrugated iron had not been invented by a British man in the 1820s. Perhaps they would have lived in true native ethnic style in mud huts.
Given the channel it was on, and the presenter with sympathy to the people suffering, the level of corruption and danger to the inhabitants from violent burglary was horrendous.

One woman was even afraid to go to the toilet at night (although I would think a visit in the day would have been wished to be avoided).
Possibly too many Africans about, that was the danger. I'm sure the whites would not have dared to set foot in those slums.
There was blatant corruption in the allocation of houses and profiteering by political heavyweights formerly of the "democratic ANC"

There was also a noticeable absence of men and those who were still there seemed to have done little to improve their neighbourhood.

Squalid though it was townships such as this are ubiquitous all over Africa and are shown in adverts requesting donations for help.
Cameron pledges millions of our money (not his and he has plenty) to help these people.

A question.
Could all this squalour and poverty in a wealthy country blessed by gold diamonds and coal and good land not be in some little way be the fault of their inhabitants?

Could the poverty and squalour in ALL other African countries also richly endowed with natural resources, be in a small way the fault of the inhabitants? After all many of our financial woes are blamed on the native British people.

Yes these people are poor. So were our people 100 years ago and our housing poor (I notice the slum dwellers all had mobile phones) but our streets were not covered in rubbish and we had a semblence of order and progress.

We had local councils who organised the improvement of our communities.
Our bureaucracies, although not perfect were not riven by corruption and our forefathers built a better land for their descendants.

Now areas of our large cities are receeding into crime and antisocial behaviour where knife and gun crime are on the increase. Native British people have left these areas in the process known as "white flight"
These areas in the main are populated by people of African descent who have moved here for various legitimate or other reasons. They are "celebrated" by the proponents of "diversity" as bringing a"vibrancy" to our land.

Of course the origins and ethnic make up of these new colonisers of our cities have nothing to do with increased crime levels

OR HAVE THEY? Is it in the genes?
A cursory look at the worldwide statistics would suggest so.

IS THIS THE FUTURE WHICH BECKONS OUR DESCENDANTS?

Nick, your obsession with the forthcoming Panorama is beginning to seem pathological.
Why not let it drop and see what they say?

Your letter to the BBC on today website was a very good letter and the best response so far to whatever accusations you think they may make.

You still concentrate on financial issues and other employment matters of which most people neither know nor care about.

BUT you did land some good knockout punches at the BBC regarding their bias and general promotion of alien inhabitants of our country while excluding the views of our party who represent the indiginous inhabitants.

Why did you not do this before?
Why did you react as if you were on the ropes?

We know the BBC are lefty multiculturalists. Everybody does.

They have the power and almost a monopoly. We will never compete with them by running away. If we do that they will portray us in an even worse light and we can do little about it.
We could have used them to our advantage, but can not do that if we don't talk to them.

It is time we stopped running away and proclaimed our beliefs with pride. That way we will gain the support we are now losing.

There is a hunger in the British people for a competent movement to represent them, and we are not now providing that vehicle.

"Operation Fightback"? At present it seems like operation running away.

Stand firm Nick. Answer the questions honestly and get a competent management and policy system in place and we and the country will back you.

But the organisation and methods will have to change.

"Bernard Hogan-Howe, the new Metropolitan Commissioner, said as many as one in 10 staff at inspector rank or above could be parachuted in.

He said women and those from ethnic minorities have achieved “far more and far more quickly” in other industries and indicated they should now be targeted and fast-tracked to make senior police ranks more representative.

High-flying police officers could also be allowed to leapfrog ranks to get to the top quicker, he said.

Mr Hogan-Howe also said that he is in talks with the Home Office and Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London, in a bid to protect the Met from budget cuts before next year’s Olympics.

He repeated his pledge of a “total war” on crime and warned drug dealers to expect to have their “doors put in”

The police have long been criticised for a poor representation of women and ethnic minorities, and moves to boost diversity have often fallen short of targets.

In an interview with the Police Review magazine, published today, Mr Hogan-Howe suggested proposals to shake up traditional entry levels for the police could be used to improve diversity.

They would be brought in above the rank of constable and undergo fast-track training. He said: “I think there is some option for some of the people selected at middle and senior management to come from outside.

“I might take 10 per cent who, after two to three years’ training, are up to strength, and have an open mind about whether it is at inspector rank or superintendent.”

Asked if such a move would help diversity, he added: “I think so because, if you look at certain areas of society, women and black and ethnic minorities are over-represented. If you look at graduates, there are more women than men.

“In certain industries, women and ethnic minorities have achieved far more and far more quickly than in the police.

“If we are recruiting from that pool, we will have a lot more chance of being more representative of society.”

Mr Hogan-Howe disclosed that negotiations were under way to ensure that Met numbers were not hit before the 2012 Olympics.

Police forces are facing budget cuts of up to 20 per cent over the next four years with the heaviest falling in the first two years.

He said: “We are in discussions with Boris Johnson and Kit Malthouse, of the Metropolitan Police Authority, who are talking with the Home Office to see if we can maintain our police numbers for a longer period.”"

So as was predicted earlier last week Mervyn King has engaged in a bit of money printing or as he calls it Qantitive Easing, but only £70 billion, that's £1000 for every person in the country.

This of course devalues all our money.
It has he admitted devastating effects on those nearing retirement who will lose heavily in their pensions (the private sector, not the public)

I beleve this is a gross betrayal of those who have worked hard all their lives and saved as they thought for a comfortable retirement to have to experience this theft of their money and standard of living.

The bankers of course will do well out of this and will I'm sure secure their bonuses and the City will prosper, but this action will do little to help our industry and national finances, sold of by these same people.

IF IT IS SO EASY, WHY NOT PRINT A TRILLION AND PAY ALL OUR DEBTS OFF?

Cameron was waffling on about Africa and his "victory" over the tin pot dictator of a sand hole.
He put hs determined face on (as if he is playing tennis) and claimed he would bring back powers from Europe.
I'll believe that when I see it, but in my opinion he would be better for all concerned, our people, workers and pensioners but possibly not the bankers if he brought back the billions we now give to Europe.

The increasingly worried BNP leadership again publishes a long list of questions to the BBC regarding their forthcoming exposure on next week's Panorama programme.

Excuses and panic seem to be the main topic of the official website in recent days and I am sure the producers will have a field day pointing out this anxiety which if the allegations are unfounded should not exist.
In their "wisdom" they declined to answer questions and thus gave a free rein to whatever the BBC may say.

In addition they have sunk to new depths by bringing David Hannam into their arguments who was a decent man and unlike the leadership knew the meaning of loyalty.

The BBC have no love for our nation and indeed today had a programme celebrating the increase of people of mixed race and I detest them for it.
I did not watch it as it would have annoyed me too much, but the mismanagement of their reaction to the programme is worse if anything than that of their party management.

OUR PARTY SHOULD STAND ITS GROUND not hide behind allegations of corruption in others.

The paranoia of the Party reaches all levels, even our area.
The St Helens organiser was asked to pick up some books from my house and advised to bring security with her.
What did they think I was supposed to do, attack her?
Fortunately she knew I have never been prone to violence and she came alone. In any case I could easily have handled the security man delegated to protect her, but that a violent confrontration was thought possible shows their mindset.

I have also heard that our Wigan & Leigh group has a list of people to be invited to meetings.
The list was described to me as "non rebels and non thinkers" . Thus it seems that rebels and thinkers are not welcome, which does not say much for the present management.

This list obviously includes me and many local Party stalwarts who built the group up from its former small beginnings.
It seems there is only one way to think, that of the official line and any deviation can not be tolerated and renders people asking questions of Clive Jefferson and Mike Whitby as "rebels" and "non thinkers".

Once more democracy at work.

I am no Einstein but I am sure I can hold my own with those two as I have done before and I can assure these "top" officials that far more people think as I do than agree with them,and they would be surprised who.

Never mind the group is going from strength to strength and there are plans for amalgamation with Bolton, this in stark contrast to our previous plans of splitting our group into two separate parts,such was our success.

With progress as good as this it will be unlikely that there will be a party in the NW by Christmas and a once thriving region will be reduced to a shrivelled shell, run with the usual efficiency by Whitby and Jefferson.

THE GOOD NEWS.

Many people wish to join us. The enthusiasm is there and growing and we will soon have a vehicle for the pent up frustration of the people when our movement has been cleansed of this incompetent and undemocratic leadership.

I know this as I speak regularly to people who wish to be involved but refuse to do so under the present regime.

THE OFFICIALS DON'T.

WE WANT OUR COUNTRY BACK.

MORE TORY WAFFLE

This morning David Cameron was in a quandary.
His speech to the Tory conference was to contain the advice to people to pay their credit card bills and save more.
What a fool he was to consider this and he soon realise what a mistake he had made in many aspects.
He realised that he had made a mistake and hastily amended his speech (possibly some banker friends had been to see him).

First it is easy for him, a multimillionaire to advise squeezed families to cut their debts when the pain does not affect him and that statement would look bad on him from a political point of view.

BUT the main boob he made was that if people reduced their debts his banker friends would have less money to leech from. Also the "High Street" also owned by his rich friends would suffer.
Now I don't care if the high street shops do suffer as they create few jobs and build their business on importing Chinese tat which has the advantage of boosting the shops profits and the debts the banks hold on people.

I do believe that IF POSSIBLE people should endeavour to only buy what is absolutely necessary and pay their credit bills off. This would free them from the clutches of the bankers and other usurers, but the words are IF POSSIBLE.

I do think many people buy too much new stuff,(possibly because I am of an older generation), phones, cars, furniture etc when the items they have are adequate for their use. A look in skips and recycling facilities proves this.
The idea that all this consumption creates jobs is a myth.
Ninety percent of these purchases are foreign goods, and provide no employment in this country apart from the sales assistants.

If gradually over a period of years we could rid ourselves of this consumption obsession and the associated debt we would all be just as happy and a lot more prosperous.
The banks would be poorer as would people like Philip Green who has made his billions by buying cheap foreign tat and selling it at a good profit.

Most people have clothes they never wear much of it bought on credit and it is not necessary for a decent standard of living.

We have enough to pay out for council taxes and fuel, let alone food and these are the items which DO matter.

Now we come back to Mr Cameron.

It is no good him advising thrift when he is giving billions in foreign aid, spending in foreign wars and donating to the EU.

If we, the people did not have these weights around our necks we could have lower taxes and be able to pay our credit cards off.

BUT THEN THAT WOULD NOT SUIT YOUR BANKER FRIENDS.

Thrift like charity begins at home Mr Cameron. Don't tell us you are saving when in August your government spent twelve billion more than it took in taxes.

PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH MR CAMERON.

MORE PAINC AND CROCODILE TEARS

I was never one for literature but some sayings of our great poets are sometimes apt.

The constant preoccupation with the forthcoming BBC Panorama programme featuring the financial aspects of the BNP bring to mind the saying "methinks they doth protest too much"

On the BNP website there has over the last week been a constant theme of criticism of wrong practices of the BBC of which there are many, and now today asking why do they not concentrate on the fraud of the other parties.
There have been such programmes and no doubt there will in the future be more but the questions it seems in this programme are in relation to our party's affairs.

Yes we know corruption is rife in the BBC and the other parties but the questions are being now asked of our party. Whether these other bodies are corrupt is irrelevant, but two wrongs do not make a right.
This constant attack on a programme which has not yet been broadcast would give an impartial observer the impression that the Party does have something to hide and in itself does the Party no good.

Are they so afraid of scrutiny that their only defence is to attack other parties and organisations?

Why not be open if you have nothing to hide?

The belated "obituary" of David Hannam illustrates this mindset, implying that questions asked of him hastened his untimely demise.
If so it can only be because of his having been used by the hierarchy and been obliged to cover up failings.
At one point in this "obituary" he is praised for his work and advice in financial matters and a paragraph later said to be not up to the task.
He will be used as a convenient scapegoat. he deserves better than this.

He was a decent man who was USED and any deficiencies can not justifiably be laid at his door.
The buck in any organisation stops at the top, and David was not that man, just a pawn who, if his death has been caused by this programme ,paid the price of loyalty to a hierarchy who did not deserve such loyalty, nor it seems value him.

RIP David.

Your name will be remembered unsullied unlike some who used you.

Theresa May wants the Human Rights Act changed.

Theresa May to tackle 'human rights' defence in immigration cases

"Theresa May will today announce plans to tighten the immigration rules, making it easier to deport foreign nationals who have settled and started families in Britain.

The Home Secretary will argue that an over-zealous interpretation of the European Convention of Human Rights (ECHR) is preventing the deportation of illegal immigrants and convicted criminals.

But the crowd-pleasing move, to be announced in her Tory conference speech this morning, will be attacked by human rights and immigrant groups for threatening to split up families and penalise children.

The controversy centres on Article 8 of the ECHR, which provides the right to respect for an individual's "private and family life", but weighs that against the requirement that he or she acts "in accordance with law".

Ms May will tell the Manchester conference that the courts have allowed the fact that a foreign national has started a family to trump the argument that he or she entered Britain unlawfully.

She will announce plans to change immigration rules to make it clear that foreign nationals can be deported even if they have started a family, where they are in the country illegally or have been convicted of a criminal offence.

The new rules will also say they can be removed if they cannot make ends meet, or find a home, without help from the state. A spokeswoman for the Home Secretary said: "It is legitimate to interfere with the exercise of that right where it is in the public interest to do so and in particular where it is necessary for public protection or the economic well-being of the UK, which includes maintaining our immigration controls." Critics of the interpretation of Article 8 point to the cases of a West Indian drug dealer who allegedly beat his girlfriend and a Sri Lankan robber who claimed the right to remain because he had a girlfriend here. Tory sources insisted the moves had been approved by their Liberal Democrat coalition partners, but Nick Clegg's party will be wary of any move that appears to undermine human rights. The Deputy Prime Minister has vowed to block any moves to scrap the Human Rights Act, which enshrines the ECHR into British law.

Kenneth Clarke, the Justice Secretary, will detail plans for his "rehabilitation revolution" in the country's jails. He will spell out plans for "drug free wings" in prisons and to bring in private companies to help inmates kick their habits, paying them by their results.

* Last night Francis Maude, the Cabinet Office minister, accused many prison governors of deliberately tolerating drug use among inmates to keep them placid. It was, he told The Independent's fringe meeting, outrageous that there were fewer offenders with drug problems leaving prisons than entering. "For too much of the prison estate it's the modern equivalent of bromide in the tea," he said."

Could the Tories actually challenge the Human Rights Act and go against the Powers That Be in the European Parliament ?

Theresa May should act, not in accordance with the FASCISTS in Europe but should act in accordance to what is best for Britain and it's NATIVE people.

I hope that May and the Tories carry this our and send back ALL Foreign CRIMINALS to their home countries.

The Human Rights Act has worked against us. The reasons given are that the FOREIGN CRIMINALS have a Right to Family Life and that the Prisons in their home countries don't measure up to British Prisons.

I agree that they have a right to family life, but they don't have to stay here to have that right. After deportation and the removal of their passports their familys left here can allways join them in their MOTHER COUNTRIES and carry on with their RIGHT to a FAMILY LIFE. I mean if these people are so intent on their family life they are welcome to continue their right in their HOME COUNTRIES.

And if Foreign criminals are here to avoid imprisonment in their home countries then tough, if their prisons are so bad so what. Send them all back and lets destroy the Human Rights Act as it works against US as an INDIGENOUS PEOPLE in OUR OWN HOMELAND.

Let's wait and see if the Tories have the bottle to put US FIRST.
